Horrible unreliable and unprofessional company. Its owner ***** ******** who I had to communicate with by e-mail because the Company's phones were not working lied to me about getting my repair done on time and his Company never showed up for my scheduled appointment on November 29, 2024 to replace my leaking water heater. American Home Shield, who despite nothing but negative reviews about AZ Remodeling and Plumbing, for some reason continues to send this Contractor out to its customers to perform warranty work. In my situation, AZ came to my home on Nov 27, a day before Thanksgiving for a diagnosis. Tech handed me a receipt that simply read Hot Water Tank leaking and water valve turned off. Asked if he was going to call AHS from my home with diagnosis to get approval to do the job and was told his office had to do that. Called different AZ number after Tech left and had appointment set up for repair Friday, Nov 29 between 10am and 3pm. Sent e-mail to ***** ******** on Nov 27 to make sure his company would call *** to get the authorization so there would be no issue with the repair on Nov 29. He responded they were on it an no issue. His Company never called for approval until 11:25am on Nov 29th. In addition to the water heater they gave AHS a bogus list of additional repairs and parts required which *** said were modifications and not covered and I would need to pay out of pocket. That amount was $945. Rather than call me with the information, AZ just canceled my appointment for the 29th. I called AZ on Nov 29th at 11:45am to ask where they were and that is when they advised me of the $945 out of pocket cost. I had to get another contractor on my own as a result. Majority of their out of pocket items were over priced by ** and other items on their list were not required per my replacement contractor. Seems a common practice other unfortunate AZ customer have complained about. This company should be put of business and avoided like the plague.

Somebody should put this company out of business. Very poor customer service. Assigned by home warranty (probably the only way this company gets business) and told i would receive a call by the next day. Never did. I get a text at 7 PM on THANKSGIVING after I put an inquiry in to be at my house 8-12 THE NEXT DAY. I am staying out of town because my home is uninhabitable but my sister kindly agreed to wait for tech. No call-no show. Call into company and was told someone will show up whenever they show up and was ultimately hung up on. Lots more s***** details but running out of characters. Canceled order with my home warranty. STAY AWAY FROM HIS COMPANY.

Unfortunately American Home Shield (AHS) uses the cheapest, least skilled, bottom of the barrel contractors and AZ is one of them. They were sent to my house to detect a leak. Before they left they told the tenant that they needed to come back with "a special leak detection tool", but that never happened. They then told AHS there was a leak "in the slab", but in the exact same sentence they suggested that leak detection be done. So which is it, do we need to detect the leak of is there a leak in the slab? Even is you have AHS please request a different contractor.

I have First American Home warrant on my property. I made a service call because there was no hot water in the shower. First ******** assigned AZ Plumbing to the job. The contactor came to the apartment and said the hot water heater needs to be replaced. First American approved the replacement but AZ was charging an out of pocket cost of $350. They require payment up front. I made the payment and waited about two weeks for the new heater to arrive. The contractor installed the new heater but there was still no hot water in the shower. Then the contractor claimed there was crossed lines in the unit. First American then sent another contactor to the unit for a second opinion. The second contract said the water heater installed was not the right size. AZ claims that they installed the same size that was there before. They refused to go back to resolve original issue. First American does not cover upgrade and installing a bigger water heater would be considered an upgrade. So instead of AZ advising this from the beginning. They charged $350 but did not fix issue. I also believe they installed the wrong size since the previous water heater worked fine. I did not have the model number of my old water heater so I cannot prove they installed the wrong size. But I had to pay another contractor to replace the water heater and AZ did not issue a refund claiming they replace the heater. Even thought it did not resolve my issue of no hot water in the shower.

Scheduled an appt thru my home warranty service. Appt was made for 1-23-24 (7 am - 11 am), no show, no call. Called the company, no answer, left message, no return call. I was called on 1-25-24 4:41 pm by the company and was told I would have to pay the service charge before they would show. I payed the service charge and contacted warranty serv. and an appt was rescheduled for 1-29-24 (11 am-3pm), no show no call. Called the plumbing company on 1-30-24 (10:41 am) was told they would get with a technician and call me back, no call back and no show. I would not recommend this company if it was the last plumbing company on the earth. I repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS LOUSY COMPANY!!!!

service contractor with american home shield warranty. They told me the faucet valve would be covered under my plan but then when back to the warranty company and said it was abnormal wear and tear.....really? Charge me $100 to come out, turn the water on and off (didn't even remove a s**** or faucet) and badmouth the warranty company and tell me that another warranty company is better (which they aren't because that company doesn't cover valves). Just a shady company and shady practice.

Plumber shows up to replace 2 leaking faucets. Unscrews valve stem in wet bar and bathtub to get proper parts. Orders replacement parts directly from ****** using my name and has them sent to my house. Schedule appointment for his return with a 4 hour window. An hour after the window, I call and they state "oh, he will be there in the next 2 hours". Complete no-show with NO COMMUNICATION. Finally returns to complete repair and wet bar goes smoothly. However, when he tries to remove the valve stem he tightened 2 weeks earlier on the tub, he could not remove it. Tells me he is concerned about breaking some piping down below the tub deck and then proceeds to break the copper pipes below the tub deck trying to unscrew the valve. Tells me I HAVE (PAY SOMEONE) TO PROVIDE ACCESS EVEN THOUGH HE BROKE IT because AHS will not provide access. OMG He should have asked for access BEFORE breaking piping so he could properly grab from below. I provided access and sent pictures of the parts required to 2 different phone numbers. They schedule a return appointment and again it is a no show/no call. Reschedule and the plumber shows up ASKING ME where the replacement parts are that he broke. Absolutely ridiculous. Then proceeds to tell me the only way to repair it is to replace entire faucet, which is discontinued, and any new replacement would not match the rest of the house even though ****** makes a replacement part. AHS offers me a "cash in leu of" for $130.00. This was to not only replace the faucet but hire a plumber to complete the repair. Clearly their 'equivalent replacement' was not going to going to be made of brass or anywhere near the $1000 the original cost, and there was absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ORIGINAL FAUCET. They absolutely refused to come and repair the broken piping insisting only replacement possible. No acceptance of responsibility and AHS certainly does not help. I ended up repairing the piping myself (I AM NOT A PLUMBER). Original claim was 6/26/23.

Terrible, Terrible, terrible. I needed to have my garbage disposal replaced. The tech showed up and said it would take 4 days to order it. What plumber does not have disposals readily available? Was notified the disposal had been received. Another appointment was made for several days later. At 10:15 I was notified the tech was on his way. At 11:30 I sent a text message inquiring if there was a problem. No reply. At 12:30 I called and was told I was next on the list. At 4:00 I called and was told the tech was no longer in the area and would have to reschedule for the next week. Called American Home Shield and they assigned my case to Northeast ** Contractors. They were able to make a same day appointment, arrived on time and had everything he needed to complete the job.
