March 8, 2024 $3500.00 ******************** Suite #** *************** 5 introductions They were supposed to send me names of possible dates based on my criteria, Such as age, height, location from me in miles, similar interests, etc. I met 1 person, who I reluctantly went on a lunch date with even though he lived too far for my liking and was already discussed with them. Since then, nothing. I call my matchmaker and she either gets back to me after several attempts to reach her with excuses. I have called her recently 3 times in the past 3 weeks and texted with no response from her or anyone else. I just want a refund of my $3500. I tried to dispute with my credit card company but they said it was too late. I was trying to give this company the benefit of the doubt that they were actually working for me but clearly they are not. Please help me get my money back. I believe this company is scamming me. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely regret that Ms. ****** has been dissatisfied with her experience, and we would like to clarify a few key points.
When Ms. ****** first joined our program, her initial preference was for men 5'10" or taller. Since then, she's adjusted her preference to men 6' or taller, and then again to 6'2" or taller. While we respect all client preferences, it is important to recognize that the number of potential matches decreases as preferences become more specific. For context, only 14% of men in the **** are over 6' tall, while the average height is 5'9".
Ms. ******* first match was presented on April 5, and her feedback was very positive regarding the individuals personality and demeanor. However, she opted not to pursue further communication due to a lack of physical attraction. A second match was provided on April 10, but she reported not hearing from him and expressed concern over the distance, even though he was 26 miles away. A third match was introduced on April 16, but again, Ms. ****** declined due to distance, despite this match being 30 miles away. On April 22, she informed us that she would not be meeting this match either.
On July 5, Ms. ****** declined another match due to heighthe was only one inch shorter than the preference indicated in her profile. On August 8, we contacted her regarding another potential match, which she declined due to height, age, children, and sports preferences.
Since then, we have reviewed multiple potential matches, but as her preferences have become increasingly strict, the pool of available matches has become more limited. As our client agreement explains, being flexible with preferences can result in a broader selection of potential matches.
We want to emphasize that Ms. ******* membership is not eligible for cancellation or a refund, as per the terms outlined at the start of the program. Our leadership team is in ongoing communication with Ms. ******* and we hope to resolve her concerns by working together to adjust her profile and open up more matching possibilities.

We. ll on January 12 2024 I signed up with this company to see if I can get a good man. It did not work out as expected for the past 8 months I got to prospects who were in the world and have been using this company for 5 years and the other for 3 years. these men met with me and told me they signed up with this company and have yet to get a date. I did the same and like I said the mon ey is being paid but there is no service for the money I am spending. I myself have been waiting for dates and have yet to receive a date that fits the description I ask for.I sent them a letter, I said in the letter that I was told that this is a great company but come to find out they are a bunch of thieves. I work 122 hrs per week and I am not gonna give my money away for free without anything in return. so I informed the matchmaking company that I no longer need their service. I terminated the contract I had with them. so now they are sending creditors after me for my money. they are thieves. the 2 men they sent me were on the site for 5 and 3 years and just like me never got a date. Unfortunately, Ms. ******* has provided information that is simply not accurate. One of her introductions had been a member for about 1.5 years prior to their introduction. He completed his initial membership and renewed for a second term. He had many introductions prior to her, so clearly her claim that he had not received any introductions is an inaccurate claim. Her second introduction joined a couple of weeks prior to their introduction and she was his first introduction. Again, her claim that he had been a member for 3-5 years is simply a false claim. We did not receive feedback from Ms. ******* concerning this introduction so we do not know the results. We tried reaching out to her by phone, text and email to get feedback but she did not return our calls or messages. She sent us a message through our billing company on 8/20 telling us that she no longer needed our services. We elected to offer to write off her balance due, but she has not returned our messages since 8/22. Unfortunately, we cannot address the concerns of someone who will not return our calls or messages. I signed up on April 25/2024, with the matchmaking company.They signed me up for the first date three days later, and I was shocked to see the date they had picked up for me. I immediately called them on Monday, May 6, to complain, and they answered that they would look it over and find me someone suitable.Right after that, I called back and left a message asking them to please call me back, but I have not heard back from them again.I want them to cancel the subscription, and I want nothing to do with this company. We are surprised and disheartened by this complaint. In the 13 days that ************ has been a client, our company has worked very hard on her behalf.
Her first introduction was selected only 7 days after enrolling. This introduction was only 20 miles away from her, 3 years older than her, educated, tall, and interested in a long-term relationship. On May 6th, ************ called in to report post-date feedback and said the gentleman was very nice but not her style. She wants someone who dresses nicely, an intellectual who shares a similar lifestyle. ***** seemed older and she prefers someone more upbeat. During this conversation, we also addressed her concerns about her membership. She insisted that we change our process and share photos before matching our clients, similar to online dating services.
We highly encourage ************ to review the new client packet she was sent home with. In it, we provide a very detailed overview of our matchmaking process and offer tips for success. One of the most important tips for success is our post-date feedback process. Through this process, we work to understand our clients on a deeper level, but this can only be done when our clients meet our matches and follow up with feedback after their date. Matchmaking takes time and patience.

This company was not able to provide me with a suitable partner to begin with. I dont think that they will ever be able to find anyone, Im not the only person complaining about there inaccuracy to match others, for that reason I dont want to have anything to do with them.
And It is not suitable for them to not cancel me from their poor services, I did not waited to cancel after they had found many partners, I feel that my complaint was immediately, and they cant force someone to stay with them.
This company needs to be responsible of there mistakes without wanting to keep taking money from us.

If anyone is disheartened is myself, as well as the rest of customers that have used your blind services.
Even long term contracts need to have a cancellation policy. My complaint is that nothing is interesting in your algorithms, and at the end of the day, you're giving your customers a handful of prospects that are not suitable.
Your primary source ce of interactivity is waiting for the next month's blind dates to roll over which is great for the company being paid. But it left me used and abused.

Breach of contract. I signed a contract on 9/9/22 they guaranteed 6 dates. As of this date I have only received 2. They dont return phone calls. I would like the remaining money of my contract which is approximately $1666.67.Business Response

We acknowledge ****************************** concerns regarding the number of introductions received thus far in her membership. As outlined in our important facts sheet, a document signed upon enrollment, "Each match is the result of a personalized search for you. As each member is different in their matching requests and how they fit within our membership database, we cannot guarantee introductions in any specific time frame. The more flexible you are in your matching requests the more potential members there are to match you with."
Regarding her experience, her first introduction was facilitated on October 12, 2022. On October 26, she informed our team that she and her match talked for 2 hours on the phone. We attempted to collect follow-up feedback on November 29 and finally connected on December 7. In her feedback, she reported that she met the man and while he had a nice personality, he was "too old".
Her second introduction was provided on April 4, 2023, with a man who was 4 miles away from her and younger as she requested. On May 1, she reported feedback and shared that this man was "Punctual/respectful of my time, Made eye contact, Asked thoughtful questions, Established in career/retirement" but that they would not be seeing each other again.
Her most recent introduction was provided on September 11 with a man within her age preference, race, and height, 30 minutes away, and relationship-minded. After speaking with him on the phone, she called us to say that she would not be meeting him because he "lives in the wrong direction and needs to be north". It is important to note that restricting preferences to a very specific location may limit successful matches, as emphasized in our documentation: "The more flexible you are in your matching requests, the more potential members there are to match you with."
At this point, ****************************** membership is not eligible for a refund based on the agreement entered into. Despite the challenges encountered, we are committed to addressing her concerns. Our team has attempted to reach out to her and is eager to discuss a new match option. Unlawful company, taking advantage of elderly. I wish I would have asked my daughter to research this before I was scammed to believing this is a legitimate company/business that provides a service. Instead, they take your money, offer NO service (in my case), and reading the other hundreds of complaints; subpar service or being ignored. However, they repeatedly ignored my calls and when I do speak with them they lie to you and say they have someone for you. However, its the opposite of what YOU requested and PAID for THEM TO DO their matchmaking work. Imagine, they took my money during the pandemic, while people were lonely and have the government check and made it out to be a "sale", because they are not requesting the regular price of $3,000. Instead...oh! its half off! I have only been lied to, ignored and reading all of these complaints on the BBB, makes me feel even worse but understanding that I am not alone. This is why I believe this is a fraudulent company. They go after seniors, as so do many scammers due to their vulnerability. I feel that I should and need to get my refund as the services have not been rendered and I now am fully informed of how this unethical company is prying on so many innocent people. Imagine, all you want is to meet someone who you can spend your remaining years with...build memories with...and here all I know is that I was a piggy bank for someone who KNEW they would not fulfil their service and also do it with honor. A refund for the time wasted calling them...waiting and believing they would match me and not having the service rendered - is an absolute robbery. This is so upsetting and please, refund my money. Our company has gone above and beyond our contractual obligations for ************. She enrolled into our service in **************************************************** September, she requested to place her membership inactive and utilize her hold time. We called her in January 2021 to check on her, but she needed more time. We called her again in March, but she was busy so we called again and left a message. Her membership included 6 months of hold time but at this point, the hold time expired. Based on the agreement she signed, without hold time, her introductions expire. Although her membership expired based on hold time, we called her again in July of 2021 and asked her to update her matching profile. We began working on matches for her, but she went out of town and did not become available until early 2023.
**************** membership is expired and therefore not eligible for cancellation. Our manager reached out to her on July 27 and discussed her concerns and offered to extend her a complimentary program so that she can receive the introductions her original agreement included. We have a new match option and are confirming his availability and openness to meeting ************. This company is a total fraud, rip off! I don't know how they do the match, maybe by flipping a coin! but the matches I got, zero connection. I bought a membership early this year (March) and I am stilling paying for this. The day of the introduction the lady was nice, the person who called me for the first date was cheerful and polite. After that, they don't answer the phone calls, they don't return the messages, they don't respond to the text. They just had ghost it me! The only difference between this site and others is that they do "background check", nothing else. I was told that the membership includes one match a month. I got my first date like 2 weeks later. It wasn't a match, then i got the second date - that was a match from h*** - we both agreed we weren't a match, and the agency didn't share any information about this person with me, just the name. When I asked for more information, I was told if I want more information, I have to pay an extra $1000 and If I want more dates a month, I have to pay extra $1500. what a joke! The 3rd and last date - almost at the end of ***** wasn't a good match either. Since then, the agency just disappears and never returned my phone calls, messages, texts (that I saved on my phone). I didn't have any dates on June, at all or so far this month, July 2023. But I still have to keep paying for a service I am not receiving. I want this membership to be ended and not to get charged anymore. I'm so disappointed and gross, I don't want to continue being part of this disgusting company.For other people out there looking for somebody special, stick with the best dating sites and stay away from Gold Coast Matchmakers - paying thousands of dollars just for a background check, is not worth it.!Business Response

We would like to assist ************** with her complaints and will reach out to her immediately. We take her experience seriously and are eager to work with her to get her on the right track. We will take a moment to touch on the issues mentioned in her complaint. First, we encourage ************** to reference the agreement she signed upon enrollment. On her contract, item 2 states ************ does not guarantee that you will receive introductions in any specific period of time." This is also explained in our Important Facts sheet which she signed and initialed upon enrollment. The Important Facts sheet specifically states "As each member is different in the matching request and how they fit with our membership database, we cannot guarantee introductions in any specific time frame. The more flexible you are in your matching requests the more potential members there are to match with you."
Second, we insist that ************** remember that we are a feedback based membership that uses the communication after each date to understand our clients on a deeper level. This is also cited in the executed contract and Important Facts sheet.
Lastly, the introductions our company has provided to ************** are the outcome of time and effort from our matchmaking team. Her first introduction was provided on March 10, less than a week after enrolling. This gentleman was local, relationship-minded, successful, athletic, and in great shape. On March 15, ************** reported post-date feedback rating her match "excellent" and selected these as green flags: Found them attractive, Punctual/respectful of my time, Open-minded and non-judgmental, Polite/kind to others, Made eye contact, Good listener, Asked thoughtful questions, Made me laugh, Gave me their full attention, Made me feel at ease, Easy to be around, Made me smile, *********** in career/retirement, Values in common. She did not cite any red flags and rated the overall experience as a "4-Good".
************** declined a match option on March 23 due to age, so this was not counted towards her paid introductions. Her second introduction was highly educated, tall, athletic, relationship-minded, and family oriented. On April 20 ************** shared that he was a nice guy, there was simply no chemistry. In his feedback he shared that he had a nice time and that he appreciated her stability and activity level (quite different that what she's claiming in her complaint).
Her third introduction was provided on May 18 with a man that is very financially stable, tall, successful, in great shape, and compatible to ************** in many ways. In her follow-up feedback on May 25, she said she met this match and that he's a nice polite gentleman, we had a good conversation, but didn't feel a connection.

This business is a fraudulent joke. They forget about you after they collect your money. My first match was a poor man who had just suffered a stroke and honestly Im a nurse but not looking for a job taking care of someone I do that for a living. There were a couple of matches that called me to meet but must have gotten amnesia after that because they never called back to actually meet. There was a match of myself and a fella that needed a drinking ***** but that definitely wouldnt work for me. Then there was many promises of new matches that never materialized I think they forgot about me! Its a waste of your money and time to expect these people to ever find you a true match although in the initial interview you would think they had all these people to pick for you. Its a scam. They couldnt find you a match if their life depended on it so just go out and CC find your own. They should go out of business because they help no one but themselves taking money from you. Asking for thousands ( luckily I only lost 2k some lost much much more. They are worthless and the only way they stay in business is taking your money and finding a way to stay in business. They seem to forget about you but tell you they are working on you and getting you a match haha. Comon give me my money back! I deserve it for being so frustrated with you. I havent heard from them in months I think they forgot about me and its been months. A total waste of money like throwing it in the garbage. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the matchmaking service that I used in October 2022. I paid $3,000 for their services with the expectation that they would find me a compatible partner based on my specific preferences.During the interview process, I made it clear that I love to travel and that I don't want to be matched with someone who has small children. Despite this, the matches that were provided to me did not meet my criteria. One match was a married man with five children, which was a complete dealbreaker for me. Another match was on psychiatric medication, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsure about pursuing a relationship with them. A third match did not like to travel, which goes against my own love for exploring new places and cultures.Furthermore, one of the matches I went on a date with turned out to be quite cheap. He even asked the waitress not to give me a second drink, claiming that it was too expensive. This behavior was unacceptable and made me feel disrespected.I am extremely disappointed with the service that I received and do not feel that it was worth the significant amount of money that I paid. We are sorry to hear of Ms. ******** complaints. Although she is not satisfied, we are confident in our membership and qualification process. Before offering membership, each client is thoroughly screened via background checks and a thorough and detailed in-person interview process. They also invest financially in our program which acts as another form of screening. To clarify marital status qualification, we do offer membership to singles that are "separated", as long as they have filed for divorce and are not living together. The gentleman she is referring to was legally separated and fully qualified for our membership.
Ms. ****** enrolled in our service on October 26, 2022, purchased 4 introductions and was given a large discount, and was provided an option to finance her program balance of $1,500. We provided her with the 4 introductions within 3 months. On January 26, she emailed a complaint about the quality of her introductions. A member of our team reached out and explained in email that this process takes time and is a feedback-based membership. She was then offered complimentary matches as a resolution to her dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, **************** declined our offer, then threatened to complain about ** "all over social media" if we did not cancel and refund her. We then had a member of our management team call and left 2 messages for her. We also asked our in-house attorney to reach out via letter which also explained that her agreement had been fulfilled. The letter stated: "You signed the contract and specifically initialed the cancellation clause acknowledging and accepting the terms. Moreover, to date you have received four introductions. Per the contract, [i]ntroductions are considered made at the point both members receive the referral from the matchmaker. At this time, we have fulfilled all of our contractual obligations. This letter is to inform you that your contract is non-cancelable and non-refundable at this time. Should you need to contact your Matchmaking Team, you may do so by calling ************."
We invite **************** to return our manager's calls so that we can review her concerns personally. Otherwise, her membership agreement has been fulfilled and she is not eligible for a refund.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response due to several issues with the individuals they "matched" for me. Firstly, one of the individuals they introduced is still married, and furthermore, they have five children, three of whom still reside with them. It is completely understandable why I would not be interested in dating a married man. The most concerning problem is that one of the matches has schizophrenia and requires medication, which restricts their ability to travel or engage in social activities. It seems like a scam since they didn't even consider the person's preferences or compatibility before making the match. The contract also appears to prioritize their rights rather than protecting mine.
In addition, their phone etiquette was rude, as they did not allow me sufficient time to express my concerns. They rushed the introductions, seemingly with the aim of pressuring me into purchasing more matches or simply taking my money without fulfilling their obligations. If I specifically sought out a reputable and serious company for dating, it is highly questionable why they would introduce me to a married individual.

We cannot and do not discriminate against individuals due to mental health challenges. As stated by **************** this person takes the appropriate medication to address this issue. We accept as members of our service those people who are living separately and have filed for a divorce. The gentleman she refers to attested that he lives separate from his former wife and that a divorce has been filed and is underway. As stated previously, we have offered to extend complimentary introductions to **************** to make up for any disappointment. She has refused our offer.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: this is going nowhere, *********** try to give more introductions and I fear for my security on the kind of people they have a option, and also the guy they refer as divorce in process still live with the wife. they just take whoever is getting in to the company and introduce it as fast as possible to finish the contract which is **** dollars. I don't want to risk my life with the people they introduce I want my money back.
