1 starSneaky sneaky sneaky!!! This one is pointed at sugarhouse OTf in *******************. The manager of the studio is a young young woman who clearly hasnt been educated. She is on a power trip and uses that power to deceive and con members of the studio. Dont ever give them your credit card!!Review fromKevin L

1 starThis goes out to your Kingston MA location the owner I disrespectful and condescending to members. I was suspended for no reason except I didn’t fit into the crew. I was accused of being inappropriate tp staff members where I never had any problems with any other Orange Theory locations. How the corporate office could ever let her get away with this is wrong at all levels. If ***** is not a people person maybe she shouldn’t own a franchiseReview fromGenevieve W

1 starSneaky membership cancellation clause - must submit in person signed cancellatiion notice to stop auto debits, they will chase you for unpaid fees long after youve stopped attending. Two stars for nice staff and excellent classes. I will say, everyone I talked to was very nice and seemed well educated on fitness. This isn't against any staff or individual at the location. I'm unhappy with the way membership cancelation is handled.Their membership contract allow them to continue deducting money out of your account after you've communicated over email/text your desire to discontinue membership. I canceled via email during the trial period, due to financial difficulties, didn't realize payments were still being deducted from my account.I've been through a period of difficulty where gas money was hard to come by. Even to drive 30mi round trip to sign paperwork was a luxury I couldn't afford some weeks. They notified me via text that they would consult a debt collector to collect fees given after I stopped going to the gym. This may very well be legal but rides the line of ethics.Review fromCharan S

1 starThe studio does not deserve any star. But nothing against the trainers and training itself. Trainers are great. My concern is about the money scams they are doing. I requested the cancellation of my membership while ago due to my work related travel, the studio suggested me to put on hold instead. I followed her and put my account on hold. I called back the studio when I saw the charge after the hold time is over. Since, I wasnt sure to come back from my assignment, I called them and requested them to cancel the membership. I did not see the charge for few months. But the charges start popping again. They took $477 dollars.I tried to call the studio owner (****) and he said he cant help. He gave me the example of subscription service (like ******** and said he cant refund my money. I can hear greed in his voice.I wonder how many of our community members were scammed by this studio. I waited for a month to hear back as he said, he will reach out to me. Finally, I decided to post this review for awareness as I never heard back. I know business is to make money but it should be faithful way not through scamming. I can say they are legal scammer.Studio is located at ************, **. Thank you.Review fromEmily K

1 starI wish I had read these reviews before signing up. Orangetheory *****. They are a huge corporation and they only care about the business side of it. Not their clients. Case in point, all of these reviews that mention their horrible customer service. Their customer service is non-existent. Ill only share the most glaring s*** storm I encountered at Orangetheory Sugarhouse and ********* but its enough to make anyone considering joining run for the hills. I signed up for a Sunday morning class. Saturday night we have a break-in that involved cops, doors broken in, blah blah. In the middle of this s*** storm one of the sole focuses on my mind is I need to call OTF so I dont get charged. Talk about a mental health mindf***. I do. They dont bother to listen to their messages in the morning and I get charged the $12. As soon as I see the credit card notification come through I have to call again and explain what happened and why I late cancelled class. S**** you Orangetheory. I wish I had never spent my money or time at such a crappy fitness organization. Save your money and go workout at a place that wants to see you succeed in all areas of your life.Review fromEHN C.

1 starThe locations are always in crowded areas and the entitled Karens that go there take up ALL the parking spaces, including the ones that are meant for 15 minutes only, even though every one of those women knows they will be in there for an hour.It makes those of us who NEED that short term space (be it walking on crutches, picking up for DoorDash, etc.) have to ******** feet away. Most rude, entitled brats I have ever seen. EVERY location needs to abide by the local rules, but they don't and they won't.Review fromLinda F

1 starDo to various concerns with management, I decided to cancel my membership. I elevated to situation to corporate/franchisee headquarters but was indicated to resolve issue with local studio. They obviously got a notification, and promised to correct the issue and that there was no additional paperwork or forms I needed to sign. Cancelation would be automatic. I was uneasy about this, because the same thing had been mentioned to me when reported a medical procedure and asked to have account paused. I trusted them. They indicated no doc was necessary then continued to bill me. They had even indicated concerns with that employee. I was promised a refund and never received since end of 2022. In addition, they have been charging my credit card for a whole year and haven't stopped. I have gone several times in person, called, left voicemails, and keep getting the run around. I recently had to report the charge to my credit card as invalid. This is not, right and don't know what to do anymore!Review fromAfshin S

1 starQuite disappointed with Orange Theory in Potomac ******** (01). My wife was diagnosed with COVID in March 2023 and asked Orange Theory to put a hold on the account. They agreed and said specifically that if she does not activate the account after one month, they will cancel the membership. Unfortunately, we have been charged with 8 months before we noticed it. (8*$139). The CC description, FYI, says OTF and not Orange Theory. Their response in so many words: it is what it is. I dont think these people are interested in your fitness but your pocket.Review fromVilmos K

5 starsI am a customer of ********************** and I only have positive experiences. Great workout, great coaches, knowledgeable staff. Now there are some things you have to know:- you have to cancel 8 hrs ahead if you want a free cancellation of your class. They do it so another member can use your spot. It is not the same when they have to swap coaches last moment as someone is sick, stuck in traffic, for example. They do it for the members. I read reviews here that complains about it.- cancellation: when you cancel your membership, you have another month to use and pay. This is very clear from the beginning. You sign that in your contract. When I read the reviews, most of the 1-star reviews blaming OTF for their OWN mistakes. Someone did not check her credit card for 1.5 years. Someone cancelled her membership 1 day into a new period. People: be responsible. Don't blame OTF for your own bad actions. 8-hr cancellation window and 1 extra month after you cancel your membership. Very easy. But you have to do it yourself, nobody will do it for you. Rules are clear. (This is not ******* so you can return anything for free, even food that goes to waste after...) Clubs can differ from each other, but these rules are valid for all clubs.
