2 starsI was hoping to reduce some high interest credit card debt I had incurred. The process sounded straight forward, I would make monthly payments to them and they would settle with my companies and I would get my cards paid off faster and out of debt faster. Well fast-forward four or five months And Im paying $400 a month no payments have been made and my credit score dropped over 200 points. This was not helpful at all. I canceled now all my creditors are angry about payments. They never received all of my information was changed to the company so now Im not receiving statements And I have no idea where my money went. Thanks so much for making things so much worse. Worst experience ever. This company told me I could make monthly payments and they would work with my creditors to reduce the payoffs. So I signed up with them thinking I was on the path to financial recovery. Several days later they started texting me and told me to stop paying my credit cards which would obviously destroy my credit. this is a cut-and-paste of what they texted me: Alright, ******, you're not alone in feeling this way. Stopping those monthly payments is actually part of our strategy. Let your funds build in that dedicated account, and trust the ************'s the deal: creditors typically see payments during this phase as a sign they don't need to settle for less. That's why turning off autopay is crucial. Late notices and those collections threats? Frustrating, I know. But that's just the noise before we turn this around. It's all about positioning ourselves to settle smarter, not harder. Sound alright?so texted me 13 times that someone would call me right away and I am yet to hear from them. I told them if this is not resolved, I will file fraud against them with my bank and then be forced to close my checking account because Im sure they will start taking my money which will cause even more trouble for me. I was trying to get a loan to pay off 2 very high interest rates. In early April, I applied somewhere online. I don't remember with who. But I started getting calls and emails from so many places that wanted me to do a debt relief program. This is not what I want to. The two predatory loan companies that I am trying to pay off with a lower interest rate loan do not report to credit bureau. So I do not want to enroll any of my other debts, because I can pay them. So I was in touch with this Cordoba on April 5th. We discussed everything. I did not pay any money. I called two days later to cancel. I thought it over it and I did not want to do this program. A received an email on April 7th saying it was being processed and could take up to 48 business hours. I am very ill at this time and I got a call from them earlier acting as I was still enrolled. The manager I spoke with was very nice. After I hung up is when I went back to my emails. I noticed that this is one of the companies I canceled. So i'm confused as to why she called me now. I just called back and spoke with two people. She would not stop trying to get me to stay in the program. I straight up told her.I do not want to be in anybody's program. That is when she became unfriendly and said I would get a call back. The pressure is enormous. I know what I do not want to do. I do not know why it is so difficult to just cancel when I request. They have not done any work for me yet, and I do not want any work done. I am only in need of help with two predatory loans. I do not need to be in a debt relief program. I only want this canceled with no pressure of trying to talk me into staying. This has literally given me major panic attacks and I've been rushed to hospital for care. I just want them to cancel, period!! Again, i have not paid anything. I just want them to cancel asap!! This should not be hard and time consuming. I have recently signed up with them, only to have my cards default, go to collections - even tho when they were cold calling me 2 - 3 times a day, I was making payments. They told me to stop, let them default, and they would handle it. Now I have cards threatening to garnish my wages, meanwhile, I am still paying them. When I asked to cancel, let alone get my money back, radio silent. No contact, and the phone number they recommend goes ********** not use them, ever. It's a waste of time and not worth it. The people you email just use copy and paste answers and tell you to call the number, which no one answers.Cordoba Legal Group PLLC.

According to our records, this client retained our services on February 14, 2024, and canceled just 14 days later, on February 28, 2024. During that time, no payments were made into the dedicated third-party account set up in the clients name, and as such, there were no funds collected or fees taken. The firm never advises clients to stop making payments to creditors; rather, the process is designed for individuals who are already behind and unable to maintain payments. These details are explained in both the agreement and during the recorded welcome call. Claims that the firm caused accounts to default or instructed the client to default are inaccurate.
