4/27/2023 $1100.00 5/11/23 posted Deposit for moving, I called the office the next day to ask if I could cancel the deposit and meet eligibility requirements for full return of deposit, this was confirmed by the employee I spoke with, I have a recording of this conversation if it is needed. The business has repeatedly stated they have returned or are returning the deposit and have not returned the deposit. I have documentation of this as well. On March 23, 2023, I contracted with Verified Moving Pros, LLC to move a lot of boxes from New Brighton, ** to ********, ** for the amount of $5868.69, I was told that it would be a **** day move.They were adamant about getting the deposit of 40% up front which I complied with and paid via Credit card. I also had an agreement to also use this method for the two remaining installments and was told that would be allowed.The pickup was set for April 6, 2023 and I was promised that the boxes were an easy move for them and the pick up guys would tape the boxes and load the transport to CA. I was assured that there would be no storage involved. I also assured them that we had doc access, lift trucks and such to make their job easier.A moving crew from Moving Depot, LLC showed up with three guys and a 23 ' Penske Truck and were given instructions to take my boxes to ******* for offloading to the transport going to CA. I had issues with applying the Credit card for payment, but we got that worked out. No boxes were taped as they said they would be going onto the transport. Verified Moving Pros were no help and even rude to my calls.I was not given updates as I had requested and later found out that my items were offloaded into storage and held until a transport could be found. This alone put the shipment at risk. I waited and finally got notification, the evening before, that the load would arrive on April 26 to my area and I had to pay in cash or **** to a ************ who I had never heard of. Verified had nothing to say but that I had better comply. Two laborers, the truck driver and I ended up unloading. Approximately ***** boxes were busted open and scattered across the floor of the transport. Part of the load was in the front and the rest in the back with other customers items in between. I have pictures and tried to use the claims process but have gotten nowhere. Verified is a cover and do nothing to assist the movement of the load.Initial Complaint

My name is ******************************* and Im a disabled veteran, I had contracted Verified Moving Pros LLC to pack and move all our goods from ********* ********** to ******* ********. The Estimate was created on 7/2/2022 for 7/5/2022-7/6/2022 with ******* ************, which he provided a reference no: x2554528, dot: *******, mc: ******** for the deposit amount of $4221.00. The deposit amount $4221.00 was paid on 7/2/2022 to ensure the movers would show up on 7/5/2022. On the day 7/5/2022 no services were provided, no phone calls were answered on the contracted end, and no attempts to resolve the problem were made because of which I had to spend more on extending our stay, other failed attempts to move the goods, and time wasted. I called verified moving pros on 4/9/2023. I gave the customer service agent my storage unit size (10x15- half full) along with size and description of my large items. The company quoted me $2445.89 for my move from ***** to **************. I gave them a deposit of $909.86 at this time. I had a quality assurance call on 5/19/2023. I had forgotten to add 3 items to my list of items. They added them to my list and charged me an additional $500 for a grill, cabinet, and two fake plants. The move was scheduled for 5/20/2023. As soon as the movers arrived, the driver took one look at the unit and said it was ***************************************************** an additional $2500 that I could give him in cash or Zelle to him directly. I spoke to customer service over the phone, they spoke to the driver and told me there was nothing they could do. The driver told me the only items he could take to equal 456 cft was this sofa (180 cuf), peloton (46 cuf), and my mattress (56 cuf). He offered to take more for an addition $1500 but he could not take all of it.I called customer service to cancel my move, they said I will have to request my deposit back through email. I requested my deposit of $1409.86 which was denied because I refused service. I flew back to pack my own uhaul to move my items. We **** up a contract on March 25, 2023 with Verified Moving Pros for a cross-country move from *******, ** to *********, **. We spoke to a salesman as well as a customer service representative on a quality assurance phone call who went over the benefits we would receive as a part of the contract. The representative on the quality assurance call specifically stated that we will receive 30 days of free storage of our materials as well as free re-delivery if we need it, per the contract. In addition, we were sent an email in which the terms and conditions state that our estimate includes 30 days of free storage and free re-delivery.Our move was then assigned to a carrier called Trans *** Lines, who we had pick up our items on June 1st so they can deliver prior to our arrival date (June 15th, 2023) and just store it for free and redeliver. But this company told us on June 7, 2023 (after picking our items up on June 1st), that we did NOT have any free storage or re-delivery as a part of the contract and thus, they would not ship our items out prior to our arrival date, which we desperately needed them to do. We were told that the contract we had with Verified Moving Pros did not reflect the contract that we had with Trans *** Lines. When we called Verified Moving Pros again on June 8, 2023, they basically implied that the contract was a blatant lie. The quote from the customer service representative was "Even though the estimate says you have 30 days free storage and free re-delivery, it's not included in YOUR estimate". When I asked him what that even meant, he couldn't answer me and just told me to email customer support, who of course never got back to me, despite me reaching out multiple times. This is an anticipatory breach of contract and we need to be compensated for it.Initial Complaint

This Moving company was contracted to move product from ******* to ********, and contracted a second time to return the product back to ******* a week later. Pick up was scheduled per contract between May 26 and May 29, 2023. They sub-contracted the move to M&D movers and the subcontracted movers arrived on May 29 with a 1/2 filled box truck that could not fit all the items listed on the contract. They refused the move on that date and a customer service supervisor would not answer phone on that day. The subcontracted movers decided to pull the plug. They left without moving items. The day after, we contacted Verified Moving and explained the breach of the contract and that we wanted a refund of our deposits of $559 to ******** and $559 to ******* on both moves because this was time sensitive. They then tried to raise the total rate of $1,996 per trip to $3,800 per trip. Making it $7,600 total, doubling the original estimate. They said they double the rate because they misquoted it. We tried to amicably part ways. They refused to refund the whole deposit.Initial Complaint

Originally I requested moving services from a storage unit in ************, ** to *******, ** as I was relocating for work. The total moving estimate of $2443.60 was issued to me and I provided a deposit of ******* via However, my work/company changed plans for my position and I found out that I was to remain in **. I reached out to Verified Moving Pros to cancel my moving services but was told that my request cannot be honored. Instead, I was offered moving services to a new location of my choosing. Since I was to remain in ** for work, my move was going to be much shorter in distance (and less in cost), which was a relief. I ultimately found an apartment in ******, ** and updated the moving company of the new location. As my move was approaching I reached out to the company to confirm the date and time and was told that I needed to pay additional 1400$ up front, before the scheduled move. I was not prepared to make another payment of this size, especially since no service was provided to me yet. As I expressed that, I was told that the service will not be provided to me at all and I was to lose the initial deposit of $*******. Unfortunately I did not keep my records to the extent to which I should have (as moving is a hectic time in anyone's life) but I do have a screen shot of the initial estimate and I can provide a bank statement confirming/proving the down payment I made. Seeking a refund for deposit of $704 / Order X2585252, as I was misquoted/misled by Verified Moving Pros (VMP). I provided VMP with item dimensions, discussed cubic foot (cu ft) allowances, and agreed on timing to finalize all details (**** days B4 move) before depositing. I was bait-and-switched at nearly 2x my cost, 3 days before my move.My new moving company said my item count/dims were precise! VMP misquoted by an additional 124 cu ft, on their box sizes and truck allowance, and made no attempt to resolve.12/28/22- Spoke to VMP sales rep for 2 hours reviewing item count/exact dimensions including 45 boxes (15 size small/3 cu ft, 15 size medium/ 4.5 cu ft, 15 size large/ 6 cu ft). Quoted of 627 cu ft / $2,431 total cost.12/30/22- 45 boxes not on quote! Called VMP sales. Quote adjusted to 753 cu ft & no extra cost. 12/30/22- 6 other companies quoted with same item list/dims, all said I was underquoted. Called VMP sales, adjusted to 780 cu ft / $2,752. 12/30/22 Deposited $704 to lock in the quote of 780 cu ft at $2.75 per cu ft w/discussed allowance of 200 cu ft on the truck. I called VMP ***************** who also confirmed the 200 cu ft allowance. ***** said VMP QA rep would call **** days prior to 1/21/23 move to review final/adjustable item list.1/17/23- QA rep planned the call for 1/17/23 - 4 days B4 move (not ****), now within the no-cancelation window. Due to rep ********** call rescheduled to 1/18/23.1/18/23- Discussed same itemized list/dimensions but added 90 cu ft. 1/18/23- QA said actual box sizes were SMALLER than what sales advised me and the overage allowance was 45 (not 200) cu ft (not in their contract). Requoted 994 cu ft / $4,471.52 with a new truck at a $1500 fee/increase! 1/18/23- QA rep would not let me speak to the sales rep to clarify, not take accountability, pressured me into paying a new cost ON that call, and threatened not securing a new truck. 1/18/23- I cancelled service with VMPBusiness Response

Hello , We are not really sure what this short complaint means , however we have had time to look at your emails and see that you have complained about additional charges , however the carrier did send us videos and pictures that were examined by our team who advised the charges were indeed valid based on the fact that the inventory was not accurately provided .We had you estimated at 890 cubic foot based on the items that were provided , however at the time of the pick up we were shown video of this being a full truck (**** + cubic foot) . So I am sorry you feel this is wrong however , this is a space reservation and the space utilized must be paid for . You were given the choice to stick with the original allotted space however anything over that would be an additional charge .
