Horrible experience from the get -go Electrician went on a twenty min tirade how I needed surge protection throughout my house for a mere $1,200 estimate Never shut up he was here just to diagnose a problem Extremely excessive quotes/work similar to price gouging! My recommendation -go elsewhere

Mr. Sparky should be renamed to Mr. Fraudster. We called to get a price for putting a home power surge protector in. The phone was answered with three different business names. First Clue!. Asked for a ball park price, told they couldn’t do that. Came out to the house and quoted $ 4500 to do the job. Tried upselling us with surge protectors for outside landscaping led lights ( what) and pool equipment. I just said no, can have a surge protector put in for $ 250. What scammers. BEWARE

This is a little late, after Hurricane ******, I was able to finally get off my generator which was wired into my service panel. When I tried to reengage my main disconnect only one side engaged. The disconnect had failed and either had to be replaced or fixed. Mr ********************** listed repairing/rebuiding breakers and the dispatch person verified that. They sent a tech from ******* at $145 service call to me. Upon arrival and looking at my problem, he told me that they didn't repair breakers and I would need a new service. He quoted me $8,000 to replace the panel. The following day I purchased a new 200amp squareD panel with breaker for $225 and had it installed by a licensed electrician for $300. There was no special tasks to warrant that kind of money, it was basically plug and play. Buyer beware, it's best to have some knowledge about such things and not get taken advantage of.

We hired Mr. Sparky to rewire our house from the old 2-wire electrical lines to grounded lines. Everything in the house was supposed to be new wire and grounded. Sam came out initially and made lots of promises, saying how they're going to do everything right, we're going to be so happy, etc. We've had nothing but problems. We made the BIG mistake of not getting other bids. We've recently asked other electricians what the work we had done should have cost, and it appears we were charged 4 times more than we should have. Sam and another owner, Chris, have told us 5 times that the work is done, but after 4 times of finding problems, we didn't believe them. We hired an independent electrical inspector (Nick at Kick Electric) who spent three hours going through the house including the attic and crawlspace. He tested the outlets, switches, and fixtures. About half were grounded. We were missing a 240v line for our heater, the 240v line for the electrical stove was not connected to the electrical panel, and the surge protector we paid for was never installed. Old wiring was left scattered all over the attic, the new wiring wasn't strapped properly and was hanging all over, metal boxes weren't grounded, romex was run directly into fixtures in the attic with the ground wire hanging free and not connected to anything, and old wiring was still feeding switches and fixtures. We had two arc events after they left. There were different groups of employees each day who didn't know what the previous guys had done. Unnecessary holes were drilled in the side of the house and when we complained, Sam said, "You know why I don't feel bad about this? Because I didn't charge you for it." Well, they also told us that they weren't charging for a few things that would be "thrown in for free" but ended up charging us for later. We have no faith in this company and don't trust them anymore. They rushed through everything, made lots of mistakes, and we regret ever hiring them.

Mister Sparkey quoted $3200 to replace a two-breaker box for the power supply for my a/c. I refused and they immediately reduced the price to $2600. I refused and employed an independent electrician who completed the work scope for a total of $230. Mister Sparkeys pricing is gouging. Always get a competitive quote or, better yet, dont do business with Mister Sparkey.

After hurricane ******, a branch fell on our power line and broke the *********** in ***********, **. Mr ********************** quoted the "MUST DO BASIC" at $5222. This was on a Sunday when other electric companies were extremely busy or closed. Mr ********************** was absolutely price gauging and taking advantage of the limited availability of other electric companies during the hurricane. We received another quote the following day for $1100. How can they justify this type of business practice???

Our small, 684sqft mobile home, was flooded due to hurricane Helene. Due to the incursion of water it blew out the breakers below the power meter. We called Mr. Sparky for an estimate on fixing the issue. They came back with an estimate to rewire the entire 684sqft mobile to a tune of nearly $30,000. Unbelievable. We felt that this amount, for such a small place, was way out of line. We felt that they were taking advantage of the situation and were price gauging.
