Following Hurricane ******. Inexperienced project manager who actually brought a few of his children to work on remediation. They were underaged, un trained and caused lots of unnecessary damage ripping out trim and drywall. They threw some items into a dumpster before we had a possible opportunity's to salvage them.some items that they moved were damaged. Project manager ask for full payment up front before any work stating that they did not want to wait for insurance companies to pay their customers. The drywall was removed and then nothing happened until after I called and texted the project manager more than a few times two weeks later. I stated my concern about lack of communication on his part and he became defensive, belligerent and made excuses. While they serviced other customers, my house was ignored even though my house was their first remediation after the hurricane. I was then told I would have to wait until late November or early December to have new drywall installed. That would be a two month wait. Even though I paid up front. There were no dehumidifiers or fans installed in my house until two weeks after they removed drywall. My husband and I are in our mid 70s and we experienced a great deal of stress and anxiety over this experience. I finally told the project manager that we were done with **** Davis Restoration and that we would manage the entire restoration and remodel by ourselves. I do not recommend this company and must say it was an entirely disappointing experience

We acknowledge the challenges and stress brought about by the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Milton, particularly with the two storms occurring just 13 days apart. The entire community has been impacted, and like many others, we have been diligently working to assist as many individuals as possible during this challenging time. Our project manager who has over 10 years of experience and his team have made every effort to prioritize and provide timely support; however, due to the significant demand, and delays due to the back-to-back storms, equipment and communication gaps were unfortunately unavoidable.

Regarding your concerns about the project manager’s team, his daughter, who assisted as a subcontractor, is 22 years old and has experience in the field. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

We also want to clarify that, as discussed before work started, we were managing numerous claims and were unable to engage directly with all adjusters due to the high volume of customers affected by both storms.  The money we collected up front was for the mitigation due to the flood, there was no money collected for repairing the drywall.  As for the wait time on repairs and replacing drywall being a month or 2 out, we are working as quickly as we can to help all those affected. Unfortunately, this is the case for many contractors right now.
We value your feedback and understand your frustration, particularly as a repeat customer.  We know you were very pleased with your first experience with us and ask for some grace as our objective has always been to provide assistance to as many community members as possible during these difficult times. Thank you for sharing your insights.
