Took my car there for a warranty refinish because theyve messed it up the first time, so after I received the car it returned even worse than it did when I brought it. On top of that I was missing a few emblems and trim pieces to the car and they werent willing to comply or give me any type of reimbursement, they simply just told me to get my car out of there and leave.Business Response

I paid to have my truck painted and all dents fixed Econo Paint did not do what was on my contract then the supervisor told me that they would fix it until I told him that he should personally check these before calling clients then he had me trespassed and I had to call the police in order to get my vehicle out of their establishment I just want what was on the contract done and repair my vehicleBusiness Response

In January of 2024 my business ********************************** Transportation had three vehicles painted at Econo Auto Painting in *********, **. We were given warranty on each vehicle. Two had a three year warranty and *** had a one year warranty. All were singed by the manager, ***** *****, when we paid and picked picked the vehicles. The last one e was a 2010 Chrysler 300 that we had the color changed from. Red to black. We picked picked it up on 1/26/2024.On 2/13/24 at apx 3:00 pm I took the 2010 Chrysler 300 back to Econo and showed them my warranty and asked them to please fix the paint that was chipping off and also on my 2011 Lincoln Town Car. I was told the warranty was no good because it was the wrong warranty and I should have been given a one year warranty not a three year warranty. I tried to nicely explain that this was the warranty we were given for the Chrysler 300 and also the 2011 Lincoln Town cars. I also added it a clear coat had been applied as was agreed because I was having three vehicles painted. The man I spoke to was the manager I supposed was not very friendly. I asked him if he knew anything about business law and I did because we owned two small business. His response was have a nice day and take us to small claims court. This was all said with my wife ****** ******* present. I don't want any money back I just want the warranty I was given on both cars to be honored. I had an absolutely horrendous experience at Econo that I feel compelled to share. I would rate them a 0/10 for their service and professionalism.I dropped my car off on Monday, expecting a smooth process. However, when I returned to pick it up, I was given the wrong key and told it was mine. After showing a photo of my actual car key, the staff member informed me that my key might have been given to someone else. To make matters worse, that person wouldnt be able to return the key until after closing hours. Since it was a Friday, this meant I was left without my car key until Monday, effectively stranding my vehicle at the shop.The situation escalated when I tried to express my frustration to the manager, *****. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also felt prejudiced, as he cursed at me and called me a racial slur for their mistake. This was completely unacceptable and added to my distress. Now, I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to contact the police to retrieve my key from the customer who mistakenly received it.Overall, my experience at has been nothing short of terrible. I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them with their vehicles. Its incredibly frustrating to feel that your belongings are not safe in their hands, and to be treated with such disrespect is simply unacceptable.. Unfortunately, I believe that proper guidelines for running a business were not followed, which has left me in a difficult. The key cost of over $350. Took my Jeep to pleasant view location on 02/04/2025 and talk to guy named *** who said he was the owner when asked multiple times. I had to call them on 02/07/2025 just to find out he proclaimed the car was ready the next day (red flag) but he couldnt reach me. The Jeep paint was way off from the original color and had major imperfections and debris all over the hood. Paint was chipping already within 1 hour from the black debris that was left in the paint job. *** claim to have told me that his computer told him that was the correct color and even after seeing that the colors were way off he claimed that he would not respray the vehicle but would only buff the imperfections out as best as he could if I paid him an additional fee and purchase the correct paint myself. Why would I pay you to mess up my paint job and then pay you to fix it? Why wouldnt he just do this the first time? This is a horrible first time experience and please be aware these guys are for junk cars and trucks and do not take your new car to these guys.Business Response

October 21, 2024 was the last time I picked the car up from Econo Auto Painting in **********, ***Please read the attached letter I wrote to the corporate office as I had been in contact with them regarding issues with the work and service. I also wrote a letter around November 8, 2024 to the corporate office, Vice President and mailed to their registered agent list in the State of Florida Corporate filings. You will see a letter mailed back from their registered agent denying that they are the registered agent and refused to forward the letter to the ***************** There are also pictures attached of my freshly painted car covered in sanding dust from Econo Auto Painting, given back to me twice in this condition. We repaired Mrs. *********** 300z at the ********** location. We did bodywork and repainted her car. When she came to pick the vehicle up she was unhappy with the black trim on her vehicle. She thought that was included in her paint job so as a courtesy to her, we painted
ALL the black trim on her car at no charge to her. We then delivered the vehicle to her and explained all the care instructions before she left. She returned saying she had a problem with how the hood looked on the vehicle. At this time, she revealed that when she went home she put a car cover on the vehicle after being instructed not to. In the interest of good business prctice and to keep a happy customer, we agreed to repaint her hood at no charge. She then dropped her vehicle off and had more issues she wanted to address at this time and again in the interest of customer satisfaction we agreed to addresss the other areas as well. She picked up her vehicle again and left with no issue at the time until now receiving this BBB complaint from her. I am rejecting this response because: I rejected this same response initially because of **** ***** being the person to respond. He is not the executive, and not the person who should address this complaint.
This is a ridiculous response. I complained immediately to the corporate office while I was there in the parking lot. The manager, Obi, was not talking. He wouldn't look at me when I went in the office to get my keys. Further more, there was not supposed to be any contact between myself and the manager Obi because of the previous contacts and his anger, total disrespect, and belligerence towards me. That Is why the regional manager, Mike made arrangements to show up when I brought the car back so Econo could correct the problems they created, and he was supposed to be there when I picked the car up so that I would not have to deal with that angry manager, Obi, but **** did not show up! There was nothing other than the problems Econo created that was asked to be redone! **** knows that. We should not be having this conversation because we moved beyond the reasons for having to bring the car back.There is a letter attached to this complaint telling Econo they owe me because of the damage listed in the attached letter. That is the center of this complaint. That was addressed to the Director of Econo, **** ******, and not **** who never responded to my last complaint through the corporate office while I was at Econo. **** should not be answering this complaint!
This is the second time I asked for my complaint to go to the executive office, as that is where it is addressed. Econo has a history of avoiding forwarding complaints to the executives. That is why they still have an F rating, no one ever resolves real problems, the people they hire!!
Furthermore, **** does not have the authority to properly address the issue and payment that Econo owes me. Please have my complaint addressed by the Executive Director not a person who is being totally dishonest, didn't show up as promised at the ********** location, refused to respond to the last complaint about damages, and has no authority over a major situation such as this.

Damage was caused to my vehicle at Econo Paint in ***************. I've informed them of damage I've gotten 3 estimates for repair the lowest was 4k it was there to fix scratch on bumper they scratched my headlight my chrome trim around doors . They got over spray on the grill over the roof on the hood rims and underside and they got paint on doors which is peeling off. The repair was to front bumper they had no business touching doors or any other part. I've contacted my insurance which they told me it is Econo responsibility for poor workmanship. They also damaged my battery by using my car to jump start other cars causing a short to where my back door no longer works. We took our vehicle to this shop last year with a promise of one year warranty. Recently, the paint started peeling off and we took it back to the shop today. The employee took a look at the car and asked us if we applied wax to it every 4 months. The instruction did not say that, and the paint peeling has nothing to do with the wax. He said he would fix the problem for a prorated amount of $300.00. I told him that this was supposed to have a one-year warranty, so I don't understand why I had to pay extra. Also, one of the reasons why the paint is peeling off because they use a cheap paint, according to the employee. I paid $800 plus dollars for the paint job. This is a bad business practice that does not keep their promise and take advantage of "band-aid" workmanship to their customer. With so many complaints, I suggest this company needs to make changes to their practice, or close shop.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am not satisfied with the supervisor's response. He was comparing their warranty to a battery and tire that if something happens, the replacement is prorated. I told him that it's not true because if I have had some issue with the battery or tires, and the shop or store replaced them one on one within the warranty period. I feel like I am not going anywhere with this issue, so it is not worth talking to anyone. I will simply fix the problem and will never recommend or go back to that business. I know that other businesses would have done more than saying no, or we will charge you more as a result of our poor service.

6/7/24 $488.99 special $115 poly on auto paint job for my 2010 mazda3. I brought the car to them to paint the whole car which included sanding , original paint **************** to be applied. I received the car back & notice an issue. I showed ********* said to take car home clean it up because sanding dust all over it so couldn't check if any other issues then call him for appointment to take care of all issues. There were many issues once clean 1st was the many bubbles, big chunks of paint or dust, bumper, roof & sides. 2nd Paint drips, waves of rough to smooth transitions throughout.3rd very dull looking & when rinsed down didn't bead up & roll. When I dried the car it kept leaving smudges over & over . I brought back to **** 8/12 he said will redo paint job and I paid extra for extra poly coat told him to keep as long as needed to have the car done with no bubbles or blemishes. When I got the car back it was worst then 1st issues. It has Double the amount of bubbles and blemishes over the entire car. My emblems are hanging from original place by some kinda glue. My headlight know gets water in it. I can see swirl marks from sander. I called **** about this he said he repainted & polycoated I explained he couldn't have because old blemishes & bad work still there with new stuff now. I said would bring for him to see he said I can bring in if I want but he's not painting the car again. This paint job is compromised & 100% expected failure because of improper procedures not following manufacturer *************** warranty is useless if not gonna be honored. I brought him a car with no blemishes original factory paint job & now I'm expected to just except my car with bubbles all over it, emblems ready to fall off & a 3yr warranty I can't use now cause he refuses to honor it because of his failure to do proper job. This is absolute disgrace & dishonest to not live up to his responsibility at least give my car back in the condition I gave to him blemish free.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I had a complaint against this company and y'all had him call me in Nov 2024 to which he agreed to repaint my car cuz of a bad paint job they did. We made an appointment for after Thanksgiving to which I cancelled, rebooked for December but cancelled again so this time I spoke to gentlemen & he said just call him when ready and we will rebook them. I recently called 3weeks ago spoke to ***** who basically gave me a hard time about the time frame & claims he was the manger. Said he would talk to **** & others and get back to me the following week. I waited til Wednesday called back got the same ***** *** said he will re contact someone again & will call back. I asked whom I'm expecting to call back he refused to give name, I asked if there's a ph# to reach SOME1 instead of waiting he said no I'm not giving you any Names of people or #'s & I will just have to wait for when someone calls . They messed up my car & then attempted to correct the situation & made it 5times worse. This is their doing and their supposed to fix it & I reached out to you as last ditch attempt B4 I will only have seeking court as a final remedy if their not gonna live up to their end. I also have a warranty from them , & yet they're not fixing there mes up.

Date of the transaction was 10-7-2024. The amount paid for the service was $662.06. The service provided was a full paint job for the car. The nature of dispute is due to debris under the paint on the driver's side door. There was debris on the car prior to painting the vehicle. When I discussed my concerns about the service, I was told it was trash in the paint and I should go have it detailed. They didn't properly prepare the vehicle for painting by ensuring that the surface of the vehicle was clear of any debris.Business Response
