Run from this roofing contractor/ they installed faulty underlayment which caused tremendous water intrusion and flooding in our CC home. They refuse to pay for damages and the matter is in litigation ************

Regarding the matter of the underlayment and subsequent water intrusion, we understand how frustrating these issues can be. We were committed to resolving the situation and initially requested a copy of the invoice from your general contractor to verify the amount due. After multiple attempts to obtain this directly from you, we eventually received it from the *** However, the amount listed on the invoice differed significantly from what was initially claimed.
We made every effort to address this discrepancy and reached out to you multiple times to discuss it. When these attempts did not resolve the issue, we involved our attorneys to ensure proper handling of the situation. Ultimately, we were able to settle the matter when you agreed to the payment.

We had our roof installed back in 2017 and were very pleased then. They were easy to work with, no problems whatsoever. The roof has held up perfectly all these years. With (3) 3x2 skylights, not a leak, not a shingle lost with all the storms that have crossed our path these last years. Fast forward to today. We noticed what appeared from ground level to be the ridge cap lifting. We called Roman, they came out within two days, checked the roof, showed us everything was still secure. Checked out the entire roof while up there, not a problem to be found. What we saw from ground level is sort of an optical illusion. They did an EXCELLENT install back in 2017 that is still in great shape all these years later. We highly recommend them, they are professionals with INTEGRITY.

I selected Roman Roofing to replace my roof, damaged by Hurricane ***. I selected them because they are local, have a great rating here at the BBB, and they agreed to the terms that I requested. In total, I am happy with the end result, but it was not without intervention to get what we asked for. Although they have a website that compiles all correspondence, it is useless to determine the status of the job as its not updated until after an action occurs. So things like deliveries are a surprise at 0730, along with beginning the job. They go weeks between crews showing up. One request I had that I do not believe was met is that all crews be Roman employees, not sub-contractors. Since the crews that showed up didn't speak a lick of English, and their trucks lacked Roman livery, I have no idea who they were. The only thing I'm unhappy about is that I thought we negotiated replacement gutters as well. They provided a proposal that I thought I accepted as part of the entire roofing job. When the roof was done, but the gutters were, I reviewed the contract to find it never made it in. So they requoted the gutters, but then raised the price by $795... All-in-all, it was a familiar experience dealing with contractors to work on my home. The job got done and it looks great and so far no leaks.

I had Roman Roofing repair minor tile loss of roof tiles and ONE minor leak over my glass roof after Hurricane Ian. May 2023. It asked for $1,200, which I paid. The company sent two non-English speaking men, who went up the roof. Is this company routinely hire non-English-speaking-illegal unqualified migrants? Before I knew anything, within one hour or so, I found them gone. At next rain, the same spot leaked. In spite of their written warranty of one year free labor to redo the job, they refused to come back. The manager said if I needed their service, it had to be a new “ticket” of work. He said, even if the work order is written, they are so busy that I had to wait for my turn, despite ACTIVE LEAK!!! This company’s lofty description of their business is faulty. The company should refund me $1,200 it collected from me. Don’t believe a word. Run away - Go to a different company.

We were contracted to do a repair which was completed in May 2023 for a price of $1200.00 from Hurricane Ian. Malhee sent an additional message, which read "While waiting for the repair to be done, can you put on some kind of preventative cover such as a tarp or something similar to cover this small leak in the glass roof. It drips to the area where the house was newly painted?" We did as she requested and went above and beyond. The repair that we charged for was completed in full. Additionally, this customers warranty had expired on 06/02/2024 while this comment was posted 06/13/2024.

It is an INCREDIBLY UNJUST comment to say that because two men do not speak English that they are illegal immigrants. This comment should not be posted as it is expressing racism and hate. We e-verify every employee at Roman Roofing. This is a false accusation and damaging to Roman Roofing.

      Customer Response

      07/22/2024

Roam Roofing is being deceitful. When I reported the leak repair did not work and asked to honor their one year warranty and come back to fix it, the manager said it would be a new "ticket" and had to wait for my turn because they were very very busy. They did not honor its one year warranty. Yes, I will ask authorities to investigate the company hiring illegal aliens against law. When workers did not speak a word of English to a customer, it would be prudent to conclude they are illegals. So, do not play racism card. That is a cheap behavior. Warning to all people - this is not a good company to trust your roof. This complaint was delayed due to my failure in using BBB system properly. This does not excuse your failure to honor your one year labor warranty. You are a deceitful company in my book and will not let you touch my roof ever!

****** Custom Homes(Ft.*****)was hired to construct my new home construction began late 11/2015.At the time we were residing out of state. 2/2016, we checked on the construction process. While we were standing in a front interior room we witnessed rain water pouring through a window onto the interior floor. I videotaped the event and brought it to the builders attention. Once we moved into the house, this occurrence continued to happen. Since the roof labor fell within warranty, I reached out to the installer, Roman Roofing ***** (hired by ****** Homes). Roman roofing ***** has been to my home at least 4-5 times since, due to rats entering and this ongoing leak. The repairs made by Roman Roofing, Inc. have not been addressed properly since day 1. Early 2024, Romans team now claims the leak is due to a gutter issue. Sheeting damage is visible in the attic. I have been told is caused by water getting underneath the underlayment. I have since obtained the bldg inspection reports from the city of ****** and learned that the roof failed inspection throughout the building process. Roman roofing continued to install the roof without following protocol. One month prior to receiving the **** A letter by Gulf Coast Engineering, LLC was produced stating a 380 roof in progress was witnessed. The engineers Letter was submitted to the building ***** and the building department put trust in that notorized letterpassed the roof site unseen. I nor my husband were aware of any of this happening. I reached out to Gulf Coast Eng, LLC leaving 2 messages for ********************, the engineer who signed off on the letter to call me. I never heard back. I will also mention that their own workers took pictures of the roof, attic damage, rodent droppings The repairs made by Roman Roofing were nothin more than a Band-Aid.I want to hire a reputable roofer to replace the damaged sheeting, do what is proper to stop the rain from entering and make the necessary repairs to the interior wall.
