I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Federal Contracting Center, Inc., for engaging in deceptive and fraudulent business practices. My business was scammed by this company during an attempt to register for government contracts, and I believe their actions should be investigated to protect other businesses from falling into the same trap.Federal Contracting Center, Inc. initially contacted my company offering assistance with both general government contract registration and **** registration. They charged me $3,120 for a service that was, in fact, already completed. They falsely claimed that my registration had to be redone from scratch and promised to provide a professional Capability Statement as part of the service.Unfortunately, instead of delivering on their promises, the Capability Statement they provided was nothing more than a copy-and-paste version of the exact text I had previously submitted. No value was added, and it was clear they made no real effort to create the professional document they had promised.Worse still, every time I attempted to follow up on the services, I was told that the original representative I had spoken with was no longer with the company. Each time, they attempted to upsell additional services rather than addressing the issues at hand. This pattern of evasion and aggressive sales tactics further proves that their business model is based on preying on unsuspecting businesses trying to navigate the government contracting process.I request that the Better Business Bureau look into the unethical and misleading practices of Federal Contracting Center, Inc. and take appropriate action to prevent them from victimizing other businesses. I am also seeking a full refund for the charges.I have contact this company several times by email & phone on the following dates 9/13 email, 9/16 email, 9/19 email, 9/23 phone, 9/26 or 9/27 phone, 10/3 phone and 10/4 phone and email.Business response

Business poses as a federal entity, they charges me $600 to sign up for a **** *** account. I thought it was **** or a Government entity I was on the phone with. I definitely made a mistake giving them my business information and credit card information but was scammed and lied to. The *** / **** told me I should not have given them my account information and not considering dropping me as a FAMA contractor.Business response

This company is a COMPLETE SCAM. I received many email notices from this company that my ****************** contracting registration was expiring and I must renew to continue providing care for ******** patients. I called the provided number to renew and this company misrepresented themselves as government agents. I was never advised they were a third party making money from a free governement service. I was told to pay $600/year (or $1500/3 years) to renew. Once again, never told I was paying for 3rd party services. I asked the "agent" if this was manadadory and was told there is no other option. A week later I found out my contract could be renewed for free on the free government web site. A review of the ******* website describes this problem with *** REGISTRATION ******************* As of this writing, I have paid $1500 and my registration has not been renewed and, to the best of my knowledge, no valuable services have been provided. Very embarrassed that I fell for this scam.Business response

The company is a fraud and uses phishing tactics to have companies reach out and pay for services related to government contracts for ***.gov. They take your credit card information and use it to commit fraudulent charges. They stated they issued a refund but this did not happen and I received no receipt, no email proof, and nothing to confirm they are a real entity. We then noticed fraudulent charges directly after they obtained our information.Business response

Dear ***********************,
I am writing in response to your recent BBB complaint regarding the charge of $600 on your account.
On July 18th, *********************** communicated with one of our consultants about renewing your *** registration. However, your firm did not manage to keep your scheduled appointment with the department to facilitate the renewal process.
Today, at 10:30 AM, I received a call from *********************** regarding this matter. Upon understanding the situation, I promptly refunded the $600 charge. Subsequently, I contacted *********************** to address the complaint. During our conversation, she mentioned that she had not received the refund confirmation email. To resolve this, she sent me a test email, to which I responded with the refund receipt. She confirmed the receipt of this email and I have attached all relevant emails per our conversation.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
Federal Contracting Center Team

We hired this company to renew our SAM registration for my company which is Majuro Do it Best.. After several weeks this was not accomplished. We paid $1600 for a 3 year service. The agent I spoke to was named Nazir. He quit responding to all my emails. I have asked via email several times for a credit back since they were unable to accomplish what they said they could do for us. I took over the attempt to renew SAM last week and was finally able to get it done myself with no help from FCC.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 13, 2022/08/15) */ Our firm spoke with the customer and provided the services that was paid for. Due to the tremendous delay with SAM.gov the registration is taking longer than expected but we assured the customer that it will be registered compliantly. Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2022/08/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This company is a complete scam. They did not provide any of the services we paid for. In addition, we paid them for 3 years of services and we cancelled with them when they could not provide us with the services they promised. The least they should do is refund for the two years of service we will not ever contact them for but if they were truly a reliable and honest company they would refund us 100%.Initial Complaint

Business poses as a federal entity that has access to my business' information and indicates false issues that potentially will prevent my business from acquiring funding or registration status that is illegitimate. If you call because you think they may be legitimate they pressure you to pay them to fix the information they haven't been able to collect through their phishing; telling you if you don't fix this and let them submit for you then you will not be qualified for funding. www.samsupportcenter.com Hi ********, As of 06/07/2022, West Oakland Transportation Authority's Dynamic Small Business Profile has incomplete information. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/08) */ Contact Name and Title: Mike M**** Contact Email: ****@federalcontractingcenter.com We have unsubscribed the complainant from our list (something they could easily do themselves) The full disclosures that are made throughout the email and especially on the bottom of the email (appearing with the same size font and visibility as the rest of the email content) clearly exhibit that this is not an email generated from the government, not does it pretend to emulate the government or being affiliated with the government in any manner. Specifically, it states that this is an non Government Company, it discloses the party from who it is sent, the nature of the email being a solicitation, the nature of our business, complete with our phone number and physical location, as well as clear unsubscribe options. Also this Company or Business owner never reached out to be removed and when you sign up in SAM or DNB the entity is public information. Again We apologize for any inconvenience and we can assure you our systems update according to the requests provided As previously stated, our company adheres to CAN-SPAM guidelines. It is important to note that this individual is not even a customer and has no complaint regarding our services, for which we have received hundreds of positive reviews. We have attempted to reach out to this complainant to address their concern, but did not receive a return phone call. At this point we can only assume this person is attacking the wrong company, or is driven by a competitor, a disgruntled employee, or some other underlying reason unrelated to our services. There is no validity to this complaint. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have unsubscribed several times and yet daily I get these notifications. So they do not honor the unsubscribe request. It seems that this company thinks we are some one else. There Company has been unsubscribed.
