Just like so many of the reviews. I used TeamViewer for a year and when they called me in July of 2023 to discuss my renewal. I told them I wanted to cancel because they were too expensive for what I needed. In July of this year, 2024 I received a call that it was time to renew again, and I told them that I cancelled this last year and have not used it once since then. They informed me I owed for last year and if I did not pay it would be sent to collections along with additional fees. After a month of arguing they gave me a 10% discount if I paid the bill that week. I ended up paying the $575 bill to avoid collections. There is nothing in their agreement about arbitration leaving you no choice. Extremely frustrating and poor customer service. They absolutely dont give a s*** about doing what is right. Same old stuff different day for TeamViewer. When will they be penalized for these actions. Never activated my account, renewal email went to spam. Charged me for an entire year of service. Emailed and called to seek a refund literally 28 minutes after they charged my account. Two days later they say I can get a refund. This is BAD BUSINESS.Review from Peter A

They don't even deserve 1 star. They claim to have a free trial that doesn't require a credit card, no where to be found on their website. We mistakenly forgot to cancel and because the scam company that they are we didn't receive any emails saying the end of trail was coming up. Thank goodness my bank fraud alerted the charge, which comes through at 3am by the way. When I called my bank they said this company has issues all the time. Three different customer service reps yelled at me, hung up on me and were completely condescending and rude. They refuse to allow you to speak with a supervisor. There is a gentleman who's title is Retention Specialist. They refuse to allow you to speak with him either. He emails you and says he is the absolute authority on these matters, but refuses to take a call from you. RETENTION SPECIALIST??? RIGHT THERE TELLS YOU THAT THEY HAVE ISSUES LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME IF YOU NEED A SPECIALIST TO RETAIN CUSTOMERS. I would absolutely never recommend this company to anyone, not even an enemy. AS STATED BY ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS BELOW THIS IS A SCAM AND TRAP COMPANY. AWFUL HUMAN BEINGSReview from Michael A

Incredibly frustrating company to work with. No phone support regardless of the number of "Tickets" you place for product not working. In the year that I had them the last 3 months I could not get their product to work. Despite numerous attempts via their ticket system in which someone will get back to you within 3 business days, they still will not help you via phone, or remotely. Which is ironic since remote access is their business. Told them to cancel my subscription many times since it did not work and nobody from the company was willing to practice any sense of customer service. Instead the service renewed and they refused to refund the money. They had an opportunity to make a good and fair business decision and help get the issue fixed and give me 3 months free to earn my business back. Instead they try sticking me with a bill for a non functioning product. I also last close to an additional month with days that that I was unable to get signed in remotely. Oh well, now I'm off to the CC company to reverse the charges. Such an unnecessarily poor way to conduct business.Review from Sam H

Stay away from team viewer its a TRAP!!!! This company has a 28 day cancelation policy And an auto renewal policy which is absurd, no one to talk to, stay far away ************* better options out there.Review from Jacob G

My problem with TeamViewer is that when they are working on a ticket, they will email the customer to ask if the issue has been resolved. The problem with this email is that it is automated and it is sent on weekends (Usually Saturdays) every time and then closed automatically with in about 30 hrs. Not all people work on the weekends and cannot respond with in 30 hrs. This is a problem if the issue has not been resolved because now the customer has to open a new ticket.Review from Susan P

This company has a 28 day cancelation policy. I started trying to cancel my subscription on January 5th, 2024 but no one ever answers the phone and then it give the option of pressing 1 to have the them call you back but no one calls back so by the time I finally tried to cancel online they told me it was too late and I would have to pay the yearly subscription for another year. Their tech support is rude and treated me like I was stupid. I would advise not using this company!

I paid for a subscription attempted to use it multiple times was never able to successfully activate the service. after the third or 4th day of attempting to use it I got a message that said my account had been locked because I was using it for work not personal use. I never was able to use it at all I don't understand how they came to this conclusion. The message told me I had been locked out and to try back at a later date. when I finally was able to attempt to access the system again was not able to activate my subscription it kept sending emails telling me to verify the computer I kept clicking the link in the emails and it never worked. I finally called the company and requested a refund but since they had me had locked me out of my account for supposedly using it for work, for so many days before unlocking it I was past their 7 day refund window. So even though they have been able to confirm that I have never successfully logged a computer into their service they will not issue a refund. This very much appears to be a company that creates its policy specifically because they know their product doesn't work or people will not want to renew their product so they make ridiculous policies to make it impossible for people to discontinue service once it is started, even if the product is never functional.Review from James S

My experience with TeamViewer was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite canceling my service due to constant software issues, I received an unexpected bill for continued service. Attempts to resolve the matter with customer support were met with unhelpful responses and a lack of transparency.To make matters worse, TeamViewer escalated the issue by sending my alleged unpaid bills to a collection agency without warning. This unethical behavior and disregard for customer satisfaction are unacceptable. I strongly advise potential users to steer clear of TeamViewer and explore more reliable and customer-friendly alternatives in the market.
