      This company is trying to defraud me with charges that i have already paid or that i do not owe.On Dec 22,2022, i decided to pre-pay and i made a lump sum payment of $2,940.00 that covered through July 14th. The website for this business, showed a balance of $113.26 owed. I called and asked why the website show i owed $113.28. I was told that i owed nothing until July 14th. I later paid the $113.28.I just recently received a call that that i am 12 days past due and that i have to make another payment that has already been made. They now claim that the $113.28 that i last paid went towards interest for the lengthy period that payment wasn't made. Why should there be interest charged for months that were pre-paid? This is a criminal attempt at extortation. This company has a horrible reputation and very poor reviews for dishonesty and extortion.

      We have reviewed the complaint and account of *******************************.  We did receive a large payment in December, 2022, which was applied to the applicable months, advancing the account.  However, the amount paid did not total an equal number of months, so there was a partial payment due for the month of June.  As indicated, this amount was paid on July 13, 2023, which completed the June payment.  In reference to the interest charged, this is a simple interest account, which means the interest continues to accrue daily on the average outstanding balance.  If ******************************* has further questions, he is urged to contact our Account ******************** Department at **************************.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to me. according to my payment history which midatlantic finance sent me, it shows that the payment i made of ****** was indeed due on july 14th not june 14th . as it shows on the file -1 day before the due date of 07/14/2023 . if the due date was 06/14/2023 as your saying, why didnt it say i was past due when i went to pay? why does it show that i paid a day earlier on my payment history? infact it even says in the payment history my lumpsome payment paid past the due date of 06/14/2023 to 07/14/23 with ****** remaining to pay. i payed that on
      07/13/2023 as shown in the file of my payment history sent by mid atlantic fincance, and then it shows that none of it went towards my balance to pay it off. instead they took that ******$ and put it all towards intrest. i would like a professional to look at this situation, as i feel like i am being cheated.

      I recently paid off my car loan and went to get my car registered in ******** on 6/28/23. At that time, they told me that I needed the car title, and my car was registered in *******. I called mid-Atlantic on 6/28/23 and I was told that the repo department had to make the name change. I have called over two weeks- leaving messages and voicemails. Nobody will call me back! I plan on going to the ***** at this point, because I feel like I am being discriminated against. I have a car that I am unable to drive because I can't get the car registered under my name! Can someone please help me!

We have not received a request for a copy of the contract.  The account is reporting on ****************** credit file as a repurchased account.  If ************** has additional questions, she is urged to call our Account ******************** Department at *************************.

      I purchased a vehicle from a local dealer and this company has called me everyday since asking for payment. I owe them no payment. The customer service rep was rude, incompetent, and when I asked how they got my information he replied are you an idiot? We are the financing company for your loan. Well I was never told my deal was getting sold in the first place and this company is absolutely not worthy of my business. I do not want to be harassed by a company I didnt sign with and will be pursuing this until resolved.

Mid Atlantic Finance purchases pre-established automobile loans from dealerships.  As explained to ****************, Mid Atlantic Finance purchased his loan from Motor Car Concepts.  All phone conversations with **************** have been reviewed and Mid Atlantic Finance representatives have not spoken to **************** in a derogatory manner.  If **************** would like additional information regarding his loan, he is urged to call out Account ******************** Department at **************************.

      I had my car hit. progressive had total it and paid it off. I had 3 payment left. I bought it back. They sent the title to progressive and not me after it was addressed it need to go to me. So now my title is missing. Progressive cant find it. This place is a joke.

      I have reviewed the response from ****************. There was a miscommunication between ********************* and Mid Atlantic Finance. The original insurance adjuster at ********************* that was handling the claim is on a long-term leave form work and several other employees had to take over the processing of the claim. The title has been sent to IAA ************ in *********** **, per the instructions from Progressive.  As of today, the title is still in route to IAA ************.  Once the title is received, they have instructions to re-issue the title as a salvage title and mail to *****************  If **************** has additional questions, she is urged to contact ********************* at ************* and speak to ***************************, ******** Claims Supervisor.  

      Mid Atlantic Finance will continue to monitor the account to verify the title has been mailed to **************** once it is converted to a salvage title.

      This finance company has over $10k in pool money that I am requesting but they are telling me that they had to pay for customers that defaulted. I have asked for papers to prove that but nothing yet. They havent even sent me paperwork on the so called defaulted repod ************ requesting proof of what they are telling me.       Dear Mid Atlantic Finance,
      I am writing to you regarding an outstanding payment of $294.65 that is long overdue. Despite several reminders and notices from your end, the payment still remains outstanding. Please note that failure to pay the full amount within the next 10 days will leave me with no choice but to escalate the matter further.
      I regret to inform you that I have reason to believe that the full amount of the investment is not at a loss, as was previously indicated. This information will be presented as evidence in the small claims court case that I will be filing against your organization. The small claims court case will not only be filed for the $294.65 but for the full amount of the investment that was allegedly at a loss.
      It is in your best interest to settle this matter promptly to avoid further escalation of this issue. I trust that you will take immediate steps to make the necessary payment and provide me with accurate information regarding the status of my investment.
      Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

      3/30/23 and ongoing. Poor customer service, using the we are understaffed. As an excuse to poor customer service. No answer with multiple calls to this department FOR HOURS.

      I purchased a car in September *********************** ****************. Through SC Capital. Last month my loan was acquired by Mid Atlantic Finance. Mid Atlantic Finance is refusing to take the form of payment Ive used to pay since I bought the car. They say the have other options for payment, those all require an extra fee to be used. This is cause my to fall behind, cause undue stress and frustration.

      We have reviewed the response from ***********************  On February 22, 2023, ********************** called us with the payment code for his money gram payment he made.  The payment has been applied to his account.  ********************** was informed that Mid Atlantic Finance is unable to accept payments using cash app.  We do however accept other forms of payment that do not require a charge.  We urge ********************** to call our Account Services Department at ************************** to discuss all payment options available.

      I bought my car from ****** a buy here pay here, they sold my account to mid Atlantic without my knowledge. FROM DAY ONE i had issues with my case manager. I had maybe 11 months left to pay on it. We had missed two payments, i was 45 days late from the first missed payment. Due to medical emergency. I let them know I was going to be late!! They said to just keep them informed. I answered every call. Every email. They then told me they would be reposessing my car but I could pay the missed payments to get it back. I understood. So, they come & take my car. Again, reassure me once I get the payments caught up it will be released back to me. Called the NEXT DAY with the FULL AMOUNT of the payments I missed. They REFUSED to take it, told me I had to pay 6995$ which was double what I even owed on the total amount. So, I said absolutely not. THEY SOLD MY CAR FOR 1000$ & are trying to make me pay 3500$ for their fees!! I was already fed up because they have been insanely rude to me.. but what got me the most.. this lady had the nerve to ask me if I was filing taxes, I told her no. She then asked if my boyfriend was, I said that don't matter, he's not paying the fees for the car. She said well you should have made your payment on time. So, I politely inform her AGAIN he was in the hospital for 2 months fighting for his life, as *** told them 500 times. But we had the money for both ************** refused my payment! This woman says, well thats not my problem, it's ********* do not care... they LIED to me. I was under the impression i would recieve my car back once i paid the missed payment. They offered to work with me then blantly lied & treated me like dirt under their feet. I ain't EVER been talked to the way those people talked to me by ANYBODY. Now I'm out **** I already paid for my car, MY CAR, my credit is RUINED & I have to pay 3500$ for their mistake after the way I've been treated & lied to?

      We have reviewed the complaint and account of **************. Due to the delinquency of her account, the vehicle was repossessed. There were multiple conversations with ************** but there was no mention of a medical issue on the calls reviewed. We do not have records showing ************** called in the day after the repossession, nor for the following two weeks. At no time was she told she needed to pay $6,995 to get her vehicle back. A deficiency balance letter was sent explaining the remaining amount due. If ************** has any further questions or would like to discuss a resolution of her account, she is urged to call **************************.
