Initially, I selected the International Diamond Center because they were among the few Verragio dealers in Tampa. My husband was looking to purchase an additional band, and I needed my ring to be inspected, polished, and repaired. I was aware that Verragio advises sending their rings directly to them for cleaning, repairs, and inspection. However, upon entering the store, the sales associate Nichole, spoke to my husband and assured him that all work could be performed in-house by their jewelers. While I had some reservations, my husband reassured me after his conversation with sales associate who confirmed that everything would be fine. After collecting my ring, it was beautifully polished and sparkling. The sales associate, even reached out to my husband via text to inquire if I was pleased with the ring, which indeed looked exquisite. Regrettably, the narrative takes a negative turn here. Approximately in the month of December after receiving my ring, my diamond solitaire dislodged and fell out. We were understandably shocked and contacted the International Diamond Center immediately. My husband returned the ring to the store, and it was quickly sent back to Verragio. Upon recommendation from Verragio, the ring needed to be recast. After discussing the matter with the manager Monica and male owner , he informed my husband that the ring was in poor condition upon receipt, and the failure was not the result of their local jeweler's work. According to them, the ring was in such poor condition that this outcome was inevitable. This revelation was quite surprising, as there was no indication, when my husband collected the ring, that it was in such a deteriorated state, nor did anyone discuss the risk of the diamond becoming loose. We had paid $430 for the ring to be polished and repaired by the International Diamond Center’s jeweler. Upon requesting a refund, we were told that only store credit could be provided. please see attached text messages and receipt ?Business Response

Customer's husband came into our store initially looking to order a new Verragio wedding band, as well as looking to send his wife's engagement ring that was purchased at another jeweler, into Verragio to be repaired. Our associate explained that the repair work would take 6-8 weeks to complete at Verragio and customers husband stated that he thought it would take less time as he was hoping to have it back in 1-2 weeks in time for his wife's birthday. The associate explained that that the timeframe wouldn't work and that it would take longer, but if he was in a time crunch, we could have our Master Jeweler do the CPR (clean, polish, repair) work for him onsite. The associate detailed that the repair would involve replacing missing diamond millies, ensuring ring was not out of round, clean, polish, rhodium and verifying that all stones were tight and secure, and stated that we could have his wife's ring back to him looking beautiful before her birthday. Customer did share that he had another jeweler work on his wife's ring in the past and that they had soldered her ring and wedding band together and that it came apart as his wife wears her ring to the gym, to play tennis, and rarely takes it off. Our associate assured him that our Master Jeweler was very experienced and works on these types of issues all of the time. Customer agreed for us to proceed with the repairs.
Customer picked up the ring on Oct 1st, 2024, and our sales associate sent a follow up text message to the customer asking if his wife was happy with the repair work and the customer stated that the ring was beautiful and sparkling. On Dec 30th, 2024 the customer texted sales associate a picture of the engagement ring showing that the center stone had fallen out. The customer brought the ring in for us to send it in to Verragio to look at. I have attached 4 high-res images from Verragio that clearly show that the ring is dull, out of round, has a cracked prong, and shows heavy dents in the metal (Verragio circled in red, the specific areas). The representative from Verragio also stated "customer seems to really enjoy wearing her rings and clearly wears them hard as both rings are dull, and show a lot of dirt buildup between the prongs and scrolls". We offered to credit the initial $430 repair charge towards either the repair costs or towards a remake/recast of their ring.
We feel that we tried to fairly accommodate this customer as best as we could and work with them on potential solution, but the customer refused to accept any responsibility for the condition of the ring that had been in their possession for 3-months. Customer then proceeded to become unprofessionally on our showroom floor and shout obscenities, in addition to telling customers to shop elsewhere. Pics attached.

Purchased .50 ctw in/out hoops 14kw item # ********* on 2/19/23 sales receipt # K15-15100323. At that time was not told that I couldnt be refunded nor was I given a copy of that. Also was not given any Diamond specifics which doesnt amount to much since Diamonds on earring are pieces and very small. With naked eye you wouldnt be able to know what color, cut, carat the diamonds were, furthermore told sales people wasnt concerned about that since diamonds are so small anyways. So a few days later I decided I wanted a diamond necklace and idc in Naples was closed so I went to ******* Diamonds in Naples and purchased a necklace. While there I asked to see in/out hoop earrings and their price was $959.20 vs $1631.75 at idc. Earrings were same carat and 14kw gold and no noticeable difference with naked eye. So naturally Im like I spent about $700 more than I needed to. Went back to store and went through above scenario I was told no refund, but could get store credit. Not interested in store credit when it appears to me everything is overpriced. Told them I would never buy from them again and would tell people I know of their policies. Didnt seem to matter to them that they had lost possible future purchases. What a way to run a business, not very upfront or customer oriented. Also what company of their size doesnt have a corporate email where people can address issues. etc Not happy with this entire situation, lack of upfront communication!Respectfully ************************* ************ ************************* RespectBusiness Response

I called and spoke with ****************** regarding the differences in diamond quality of the earrings he purchased versus the quality of the other earrings he viewed at the other jeweler. I told ***************** that I would ship 2 pairs of earrings down in lower quality's so that he could view all of them side by side and compare and then told him if he chose the lower quality/low priced earrings I would allow the exchange and then refund the difference to him.
