I truly regret using Solomon and Sons movers not only for their “Bait and Switch” sales strategy, but for their complete lack of regard for the 2nd and most important half of the move, the delivery! During the pack up I was informed of a 30+% increase ~$5,000 in moving fees based on our cubic volume, the sales rep had “under-estimated” our contents and now we had no choice but to pay the new price. Eager to get my business they had low-balled the estimate. *Customer service ended when they received the down-payment. On delivery at our new home, the moving truck arrived on target date provided, the driver picked up the balance owing then disappeared into the truck for almost the entirety of the unloading process. The team hired to unload, apparently last minute and through some agency, were rough but hard-working guys and clearly in a hurry with no intention of assembling any beds, tables etc. Arguing and swearing ensued when I requested completion of these tasks, as this was part of contract. I was then caught in the middle of another argument between drop off crew and driver who had emerged from truck near the end of the unloading. Moving is never easy, I have been through 4 corporate moves, this one being the worst. During this debacle, the original sales rep was non-communicative, customer service moved at a snails pace with no-resolve before leaving this review, and I am deeply dissatisfied overall with the level of professionalism with this company.
