My husband received a letter confirming his conversation with Lilliana ***** and his ***** insurance had been changed to hmo from his ppo effective 6.1.23. My husband DID NOT speak to anyone from this company as we have an insurance broker. After discussing this letter with our insurance broker and on a conference call with *****, it was determined that Ms ***** took my husband's info and randomly converted his insurance policy. ***** has filed a grievance against this company and Ms *****. ***** also converted the health insurance back to the original plan agreed upon two years ago. This is unethical!!!

    Pat,

First, I would like to apologize if your husband has had any issues with the ***** HMO plan that replaced his ***** PPO plan.  HMO plans often have more benefits, but that comes as a tradeoff in the form of a smaller network.

Second, our internal compliance team has reviewed your husband's phone calls with our agent, Lilliana *****.  We record all phone calls and store them for at least 10 years.  This is both for the protection of our clients and our agents.  In this situation, your husband spoke with Lilliana for over an hour.  Following our process, the call ended, and your husband even called the agent back directly to enroll in the ***** HMO plan.

If you filed a grievance with *****, these call recordings will be shared with them directly.  Again, I apologize if your husband had a suboptimal experience with the ***** HMO, but your husband, after reviewing the plan for over an hour with our agent, knowingly enrolled into the ***** HMO plan with his direct consent.

Tired of asking for removal. Obstinate telephone operators can not listen can not give valid responses etc etc. Fifth time I have had to call for removal then today yet another letter and to be returned envelope national reply center Daytona beach. Sick and tired of these people bugging me. They are not government affiliated. Remove me is the satisfaction I want. So done with these people. Worse kind of mail predator. Removal please. Review should be minus what I gave just would not let me.

Karen, I emailed you directly as well. If you would reply to that email with your physical address, we will make sure that you don't receive any direct mail. Also, if you include your phone number in that email, we can add you to our internal Do Not Call list immediately. This will also give us the ability to research the correspondence that you've received and any interaction with our staff. We strive to truly help people, not annoy them in any way, shape, or form. We apologize if our direct mail caused you any level of frustration. Thank you, Constantine “Dino” Christoforakis Managing Director Health Insurance Associates LLC dba MedicareInsurance.com

Called three times to be removed from their mailing list and was hung up on each time. The third time, the woman said she made a note on my file. When I told her she hadn't even received my information yet, she hung up on me. Called in a fourth time to speak to a supervisor and was left on hold for an hour.

I want to give MedicareInsurance.com no stars whatsoever, but I had to provide a star to write this review!

My aunt has some dementia and has had two strokes. I help care for her and I have Power of Attorney. Jean ********* of MedicareInsurance.com called her before April of 2022 and talked her into changing her insurance to **********. At present my aunt has ten doctors - a cardiologist, a neurologist, an endocrinologist, a urologist, a gastroenterologist, an optometrist, a dentist, an orthopedic surgeon, a physical therapist and an ear, nose and throat doctor.

On April 1st of this year her insurance changed. Immediately I started receiving phone calls from some of these doctors informing me that they did not take this insurance. Most importantly, a very important cardiological appointment was cancelled. You have NO idea how difficult it was for us to try to work with ********** as well. It took a month before ********** released her. We had to cancel 15 appointments that month. It took hours and hours of phone calls to try to re-establish medical care for my aunt once ********** released her. Her previous insurance has still not been fully re-established.

Technically this is elder abuse. How many other elderly individuals with dementia have been swindled by this company? I can advocate for my aunt, make phone calls, send faxes and make a fuss about this matter.

What about those elderly individuals with dementia who have no advocate? They are lonely and they want to talk to someone and they just get swindled.

We are very sorry for any frustration that your Aunt's enrollment into the Health Net plan caused. Our agents are trained to recognize individuals that may not have the mental acuteness to enroll in a new health insurance plan. If we eperience any indication that this is the case, it is our policy to stop any enrollment that may interfere with current coverage, appointments, and help protect the senior from any hardships that a potential enrollment may cause. In this situation, our agent did not recognize the presence of dimentia.

It is our intention to help individuals, not create issues for them. Again, we apologize for this suboptimal experience and will be reviewing the enrollment recordings in order to improve our operations and, if necessary, retrain this specific agent.

Pleae let us know if there is any way that we can help moving forward.
