StormTight Windows installed cat 5 hurricane windows in my Apartment. What should have been a one day job started in December 22 and was completed in February 23 because of poor work and one installer instead of a Team. The City did not pass the job on the first Inspection. In April 2023 my Apartment was flooded because the window was not calked. I contacted the Condo Asso. who kindly took pictures and partially fixed the damage. My Insurance refused the claim and said Storm Tight Window is responsible. Storm Tight representative came saw the damage, completed the calking and later requested 2 estimates. Estimates were provided almost a month ago but the Corporation refused to replace the damaged flooring. I have been sleeping in a molded room so I have replaced the flooring. Officially, I was told over the phone that ( in June) they cant verify where the water came from, therefore, they are closing their case.

The customer's claim was reviewed by our property damage team and was denied as the evidence was inconclusive. There is no proof that there was any water intrusion due to our work and the customer had the caulking replaced prior to our inspection, so we were unable to validate the customer's leaking issues. No water damage was found, to the rock wall (dry wall) under the window or around the window. Damages only to laminate flooring in an area of 6 wide,8 from the window. This matter is resolved.

I called Storm Tight windows regarding a problem with an upstairs window they installed. The top window fell down busting the upper attachments. The window had to be propped up with a stick to keep it from falling down. I was told they were no longer in *************** and could not send someone out to fix it. They gave me the number for Regency who they said would be able to help. I called and ******* said they only make the windows and did not service them. I called Storm Tight again. I was told again they were not in *************** any longer and could not assist. I asked for the Supervisor to call me back. I was informed he was very busy but should receive a call back within a week. It has now been 3 weeks with no call back. Very poor customer service and we need our ******************** repaired!

I signed a contract with StormTight Windows ******* in April of 2022 for the installation of 2 hurricane rated sliding glass doors. The installation took place in August which was a terrible installation. The company came out and reinstalled the doors. One of the doors has been fixed and is working well. The 2nd door has been re-installed twice. The door is not level and is nearly impossible to open. After many conversations with the local ********* office who kept sending installers that don't speak English and then said that they can't fix it, In February I contacted the corporate office who sent a "manager'. His inspection concluded that the door needs to be re-installed because the frame is not level. He said he would order a new frame and schedule an install. I have called the corporate office 3 times since then and I am being told that they are waiting on the frame to arrive. This experience has been a nightmare with this company. From the first botched installation to present day. I have a $7000 door that doesn't open properly, an open permit on my property and hurricane season starting. This job needs to be fixed properly and completed. I am asking the BBB to assist as I am not getting any results despite a years worth of effort.

installation of storm windows occurred 2/22 - 2/24.during inspection with **** from Storm Tight, I pointed out three damaged areas that were caused by the installers they sent. these areas were discussed with the installers prior to them leaving on 2/24, and are included in my report which I signed. In fact **** came to my home the following week prior to the county inspectors visit.Storm tight made several promises to completely repair the damaged areas. Their statements gave the impression it would be done quickly. As of the date of this complaint, they have not done as promised.

We have two different jobs with Storm Tight Windows. Our first job was to do the front door and the windows of the home. The second job was to do the remaining doors and the sliding glass doors of the home. The first job has still not been properly permitted three years later. The second job had installation issues, but was finally permitted. The first job still has windows that need to be repaired and I have been without a lock on my front door for over four months now. There have been issues obtaining the door lock. There has been issues obtaining the pieces to repair the windows. Someone came to inspect the windows from the company to prepare for county inspection and passed all of the windows for inspection while they were broken. There have been several appointments made that have not been able to be kept on the companys part, and some on my part. I have waited home today for our appointment and did not answer the phone call that came in to see if they should spend the time to drive up here as I was working and did not know the phone number beeping in. Upon finishing the work call caring for a patient , I received another phone call from the storm tight representative and they were upset that I answered the phone. They were calling to tell me they were not coming and to reschedule as they had already clocked out and were going home. I am a single mom living alone with my child in a home that I cannot lock my front door for months now . There are a lot more intricate details to the situation that I would be happy to discuss with someone. I would like to have my windows and door locks completed. I would like my job inspected by the county and finalized. I also would like financial compensation for the emotional trauma that has been caused to myself and my son by not having a front door lock for safety purposes and for the inconveniences that I have been put through and the time I have lost at work due to their inability to properly complete a job.

We purchased windows for our **************** came and said it would take two days. 1st day they were there for five hours, the second day they stayed at our home for more than 13 hours, even working in the dark. A few days later someone was scheduled to inspect the windows for accuracy, he never showed up. Four days later after I called to complain that no one showed up and that the work done on the property was sloppy and very badly executed they scheduled that same person to come back. He came the second time and said that the work was the worst he had ever seen and that it all needed to be redone. He said he would come back with the same crew to fix it. The following week the same crew came out without the supervisor (who said he would be here). They fixed a few things and told us that the rest of the things we where pointing out could not be fixed. We called to complain again. One of the windows was not working properly they needed to have it made again, others had scuffs ad dents "from factory" we where told. I reached out to the company via their code 99 process concerned for the SAFTEY of the windows considering that the job was so poorly done. We were once again told someone was going to come out to see the property and get it fixed. We get reached out to by the loan company for payment, we started to pay the loan but filed a complaint against the company with them as well, they opened their "own investigation" as our windows are not complete and we still had to begin paying for it (NOT at all what the company originally said). This second crew different from the first came out to see the windows and told us they reached out to corporate ******************* pictures because the work was so bad that the only way to fix it was to get new windows and start the entire process all over again. This was two weeks ago. No one has contacted us about the window that was broken or the fact that it has been over 2 months and our windows are still not complete.

Purchased impact windows and doors for my home on September 7, 2021. As of December 27, 2022, they have attempted to install the doors on 3 occasions. 1st attempt delivered the wrong doors, 2nd attempt doors did not fit and 3rd attempt the panels ******* the frame.Additionally, one of the windows was installed with cracked glass (have the pictures). I have all of the documents, emails, pictures, and phone call records regarding my ongoing issue with this company over the past year and a half. In addition, the permits have expired which is their responsibility and the *** asked about an inspection however, I cannot pass the inspection because the job is not completed. I have escalated this situation to the manager as well as the supervisor and at this point, I have heard more than my share of excuses. This is a short synopsis but I am willing to share any other information that you may need for my case. My next step is to seek an attorney consultation to get this resolved. Please be aware I have over 100 pages of documents which is too many to upload but I would be more than happy to make copies and send to your company upon request for veriication purposes.

I had ordered hurricane windows and doors for my entire house in 7/2021. Installation started the week of Christmas, 2021. Installation was done around Christmas 12/21 and a few months later. We failed inspection in April because the front door was missing the required stickers. Before inspection, we found that one of the windows on the 2nd floor was leaking. There is a second, fixed, arched window about 2' above this sliding window. Water was dripping down from the drywall at the top of the bottom window. Storm Tight came in to caulk some more, but to this day the window is still leaking, more and more so. They added more caulking several times this year, to no avail. By now, water leaks very quickly during any storm, the drywall is cracked. About 4 weeks ago, Storm Tight Windows sent out somebody who "would be able to make the decision to order a new window", but all he did was measure moisture levels in the drywall and say that somebody who had more knowledge than him would need to look at it. During this visit, I also pointed out that the screen mesh on one window on the second floor was coming out of the frame and that one of the sliding door screens downstairs had holes. He promised all would be taken care of.I called the local office two weeks ago and corporate office a week ago. Nobody is returning my calls. Corporate said the file says the roof is leaking, especially from the skylight. We do not have a skylight! The roof was replaced in 8/21 and checked today, there is no roof leak. The roofer sprayed water with a hose onto the two windows in question, within less than four minutes water was pouring out from the drywall at the top of the bottom window.I need Storm Tight Windows to 1. repair/replace the leaking window(s), test for leaks after repair 2. repair screens 3. repair drywall that was damaged because of continuing leakage 4. provide the missing stickers for the front door (double door)5. renew permit and call in new inspection

    Complaint: 18595847

I am rejecting this response because: It takes several weeks to complete this job. They have been at my house today (12/20/22), finally evaluated the problem correctly. They will come on 12/21/22 for a temporary fix. They will order a new window which will take several weeks to arrive and then install it correctly. They also promised to repair the exterior stucco that was probably causing the leakage and the interior drywall that was damaged through leakage that was going on for ten months. They will also repair all screens, even pointed out one that I had not yet noticed. Storm Tight Windows has been very cooperative since I filed the complaint, but the proper way to fix it just takes time. I understand that, but do not want to say that the problem has been resolved until the new window is in and tested.

    Complaint: 18595847

I am rejecting this response because:

I am waiting to have a leak-free window installed and any damage to stucco and drywalls repaired as well as having passed final inspection. I know that Storm Tight Windows is working very hard to get this resolved, and I am quite optimistic that it will get done this time. After my complaint, they have so far made every effort to identify the problem with the window and correct the problem with the leaking window.. I appreciate their response so far. It still leaves the issue of missing stickers for the front door and passing inspection. I am aware that it will take some time to get the window delivered and installed. Once that is done, stickers are provided for the front door, and the inspection is passed, I will accept their response. Once again, I am very satisfied with how they are currently working on resolving this issue.

I hired StormTight Windows ******* in April of 2022 to install two new CAT 5 hurricane sliding glass doors in my house. I was quoted $13,500 and went under contract with StormTight. The contract required a down payment of $4050.00 at time of signing which I paid for with a check. In August I was contacted by StormTight to set up an installation date for the new doors. On August 8th, 2022 an installer was sent by StormTight. The installer did not speak any ************* was forced to communicate with him through his wife on the phone. I was required to write a check for $8100.00 before the work began. Half way through the install I noticed that he was putting the wrong doors into the wrong openings resulting in damage to the interior trim of my home. I contacted *****************************, who is StormTight's Field Supervisor and the **************** as well as sent photos of the damage and faulty install. StormTight was apologetic and sent a new installer out 2 days later to fix the mess. The doors were put in and upon inspecting them I noted to ***** that the doors were damaged and did not open properly. He agreed and said he was ordering two new doors and new screens but it would take 4-6 weeks. I have tried getting information on when the new doors will arrive and completion of the job will take place. I cannot get anyone from StormTight to return my calls, text messages, emails. On Monday, 10/24/22, I spoke with ******** at the corporate office and she told me that she doesn't see that there was any order for replacement doors/screens for my property. ******** sent an email on Monday, 10/24/22 to ************************* (Supervisor) and ***************************** inquiring what the next course of action will be. I was included on the email and I have not heard from anyone from StormTight windows. My current situation is, I have paid $12,150.00 to StormTight and have been left with two damaged sliding glass doors and screens that don't fit. The job is unfinished and has not been inspected.

Signed contract 12/12/2020 gave $1000.00 deposit Windows arrived on or about 1 -15th of June 2021. Permit issued by ********************** on 6/30/21 @8:40 am.Day of installation it was determined after removing the living room windows that the estimator had measured the opening wrong and the windows would not fit properly. The installers then instead of stopping and ordering the proper size windows attempted to conceal and close gap by double bucking. They immediately framed in and put caulk and molding straps to cover. When removing windows from 3 bedrooms the installers ran into same issues. Estimator ordered wrong size windows but again they installed anyway and had to frame out inside and place alot of cement and caulk on outside to seal the gap.2 sliding glass doors installed. Doors were 2 1/2 inches higher than old doors and a hazard for tripping. My wife handicap in wheel chair and this now becomes hazard for her to escape should there be a fire in house.Stormtight manager came and said per code doors were installed properly. I myself called ************** building **** and Inspector ********************* came to my house. He was provided the building permit with attached windows and doors product identification and installation requirements. He visually inspected the living room window installation and the sliding doors and found poor workmanship and improper installation and issued a red tag for the job.Several months passed and stormtight ordered new sliders as one set was installed wrong and had improper holes drilled by installers and the door jam was wrongfully cut out both wood and concrete header by inexperienced installers mistakes quoted by inspector. The entrance door and sliders were all removed and the doors were lowered to the lowest elevation but still are 1" above floor level. Inspector returned and redtagged permit again.Inspector required either order proper windows for living room or provide an engineer letter to comply.Sliders wrong???
