I canceled the membership the next day after I signed up. At the gym they told me you need to cancel by contacting the company through email and they did. Then I get an email saying that i need to go back physically to the gym to cancel and i did but no one was there but they told me the manager will call you back if you leave your name and phone number. They never called me back. But they kept charging me and still emailing me about the charges. I called back the gym and talked to the manager but she wouldnt cancel my membership. Its very frustrating and I need help with this. Thank youInitial Complaint

Terrible company with 176 unresolved complaints on this company. Operating under criminal guidelines. They claim no contract but try leaving them and they hit you with so many fees that you might as well say you're paying for the remainder of the time, plus a few months ahead to get them to drop you. This company ****** and takes heavy advantage of it's customers. Please condemn this company and barring them from even staying open. It's a terrible concept, the equipment is outdated and want to ruin your credit if you try leaving them. BEWARE!!! Stay away from this company this is a criminal enterprise. They'll throw you in debt and keep you owingInitial Complaint

ABC Fitness and Youfit are engaged in a practice that makes it impossible to leave the gym. Youfit does not allow membership cancelation in the gym, I have to call ABC Fitness to cancel. I was moving to a different state in January and I had asked the gym in November when I should cancel to not avoid interruption and they told me to call the first Tuesday in December to avoid the annual membership fee and an interruption in services until I moved. so on December 3, I requested ABC Fitness to cancel and they said they would. I find out the next month that it was not canceled and I was billed. I called Abc back and asked to cancel and asked to be refunded for the extra billing I also asked them for a transcript of the notes they took on the call and the recording, but they said they cannot do that **** is their policy. Now Im in a position where I just have to take the word of the person Im talking to on the phone that they are doing what theyre saying theyre doing and I have no evidence of whether theyre doing it or not. Because of this ABC fitness is allowed to say I did not call in December to cancel mymembership and allowed you fit to charge me for December January and also an annual fee and February because the cancellation did not go through until January. This is an extremely inconvenient practice for a customer and very profitable for the business. They have been threatening to send my account to collections there is nothing I can do to prove that I called in December and both companies refuse to take accountability.Initial Complaint

I called establishment to cancel membership and they give me a number to call to cancel my membership. I call number, and am told that I need to visit establishment to cancel my membership. I show up at establishment to cancel and management tells me the only way I can cancel is by coming to the establishment either on Thursday or Friday as those are the days they can only do cancellation of memberships. Most subscription based models for other companies have an easy one button cancellation, likely to protect customers from predatory behaviors of a business. I believe YouFit enforces these obfuscation of cancellation practices to hope that people forget or cannot cancel their memberships easily.Initial Complaint

I received an email they will be charging my account $160 on March 21, 2025. I canceled my account on February 20, 2025 when my 6 month contract was completed. They charged my account $160 on February 21, 2025 and are wanting to charge me $160 additionally on March 21, 2025. Also, it shows on my account that the $160 will come out on March 20, 2025. I have already paid $160 for 7 months.Customer Answer

Thank you for trying. They have already drafted the $160 from my account on March 21, 2025. They said my last payment will be April 4th, 2025. After the 4th I will block them from withdrawing any more money from my account. $320 is a lot to pay when you have shoulder surgery and cannot attend. I hope they can sleep at night after ripping people off.Initial Complaint

My name is ***** ******, Ive been a loyal member of Youfit for five years, joining before the pandemic. there were a few months when the gym charged us even though it was closed due to Covid, Ive moved past ******* move to ******** in March, and last month, I was reviewing my account to check when my annual fee would be charged. I saw that it was scheduled for February, but I also noticed an issue with the credit I was supposed to receive for my moms referral. When my mom joined, I was promised a free month of membership. However, I noticed this credit was never applied to my account.I talked to the club manager to discuss The missing referral credit, which was supposed to apply in March, as this would be my final month. The possibility of moving my annual fee to March, in case in case. For over a month, Ive followed up with the manager weekly, but despite his numerous attempts to reach out to corporate through emails and phone calls, theres been no response. Today, as the annual fee is due, I went to the club and informed them that I would be canceling my membership since I shouldnt be responsible for paying the annual fee if I wont be continuing with the gym. They gave me a number to call, and when I did, the representative informed me about the "10-day notice" policy. This means Im still responsible for both the annual fee and Marchs bill. This seems completely unreasonable because I had informed the manager over a month ago that if my concerns werent addressed, I would cancel. At no point was I told about the 10-day notice policy. What i need:-A correction to my billing, as I shouldnt owe an annual fee if Im no longer using the gym.-A removal of the March charges, as I canceled my membership today and have no intention of going in March.-Waiver of the cancellation fee, as my annual contract wasnt renewed due to my decision to cancel before it began.-A refund for the month Im owed from my moms referral that was never applied to my account...
