I recently purchased a ******** GLE and I asked them for a second key and they refuse to assist me in getting a second key. And are being difficult in the process and said I can only have 1 key for this car.

    Customer response

    03/28/2024

My husband received a call from the dealer saying that they were going to get a another key from ******** **** and they will submit the paperwork for me but because I reached out to the BBB and now corporate is involved he will not assist my husband in getting a second key. And hes on his own with the car for one key only.

I feel this is basically black mail threatening  because we reached out to you to the BBB

The 2021 ******** ********** GLE 350 was sold as an AS-IS Unit. At no point during the negotiation did we state the vehicle had 2 keys or we would have provided the customer with a 2nd key.  The vehicle was not sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Unit that would require a 2nd key. *************** was shipping the vehicle out of the Country and asked if the dealership could get a 2nd key from Delray ******** **** because ******** doesn't have a store in the Country the vehicle is going. ******** - **** *** LLC requires a copy of the title in the owners name before they will cut a key as well as other information. I have enclosed ********-**** *** LLC rules and regulations for purchasing replacement keys.

I am rejecting this response because:

we have asked the dealer to sign over the title to us so we could reach out to ******** to have the key issued its been 2 weeks and they have not signed over the title to us.

    Sincerely,

    *************************

The title can't be signed over to a customer. The vehicle is being exported and if it signed over to a customer they can drive the vehicle, sell the vehicle  and avoided State Taxes. The title is placed in the vehicle when it is picked up for transport to the shipping yard. The vehicle also cant be driven from the property, it must be delivered to the port on a tow-truck so how would you get a key made at Benz. This information was made very clear before the vehicle was purchased.

The 2014 VW GTI couldn't be repaired to make the vehicle safe. The vehicle was not sold to another customer at a higher price. I made the decision as the ** at the dealership that we would sell the vehicle at the auction and announce all the issues the vehicle has. We issued a check for $5000.oo on May 15,2023 and given to the customer the same day.

I provided all my information including a consumer credit transaction, which holds **************** the dealer is trying to get away, falsely stating I did not get accepted because of disclosure from & non affiliated third ************ where disclosing private information, which in turn slowed down my process but by law until the deal is done the estate & the contract is obligated to me until the deal is finalized & I have not received any type of goods or rightful **************** I cant get them on the phone, basically avoiding & trying to steal my property, in which is bad business all around

We received an online credit application submitted through Car Gurus.  Unfortunately, we were unable to do anything with it since it showed the applicant's credit bureau was frozen for fraud purposes and also notified us the application failed identity verification.  ******** called the dealership dozens of times a day to try getting a different response from all our employees. He kept yelling into the phone and repeating the phrase "Consumer Credit Transaction," but did not even know what that meant.  At one point he told our finance director that he never submitted his information and that it was fraudulent.  Then, on the same call, stated he was going to "show up and take the car off your lot."  We even have a recording of him stating he doesn't even have a license to drive a car.  There is nothing else for us to do, and we alerted our partners to a potential fraud issue.

I brought my car to the Ed ********************** Cadillac dealership to have oil change. I had one left rear tire sensor out and when I drove off none of the sensors were working. I spoke to a supervisor and he told me to bring the car back. When I brought the car back they told me they had to charge me for one sensor to get all four sensors to work. Me driving without sensors is a safety issue and I could get hurt. I need this matter resolved. Again all three of my sensors were working but now none of them are working after I left this dealership.

We(***** and ****** *****) purchased a new **** ******** *** from Ed Morse ******** in Delray Beach, FL on February 8, 2022. We traded in a **** ******** ***. The purchase price was approximately $47,000 after the trade. We have an approved car loan with the ******** ****** ***** in ********* **. A title for the vehicle has never been created in either Florida or ********. The approval for our loan will expire on April 23, 2022. Without a title, the ******** ****** ***** will have to convert our loan from a car loan to a personal loan at a much higher interest rate. We have contacted Ed Morse ******** numerous times. They have not responded to the past 30+ calls/messages. We have contacted ******** numerous times and while they have tried to help, still Ed Morse has not produced a title. We tried to get a ******** title under the "lost title" procedure but ******** *** verified that the original title has never been created. We found the same in checking with ******* **** All indications are that Ed Morse ******** has dropped the ball and seemingly has no intention of correcting the issue. If they can submit the title to the ******** ****** ***** before April 23, that is the only resolution we need. If not, we will pursue having Ed Morse ******** reimburse us for the additional cost of the personal loan for how ever many payments are made before this is resolved.
