Should have read these reviews first. I was homeless and just had major back surgery, so getting around is tough. They signed me up at the Tulsa bus station and apparently used the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless as my home address without my knowledge. After 10 months of dealing with a failing device, they cut service to me completely without warning or explanation. It took a month to track this company down, and when I called someone from India that could barely speak english told me my service was cancelled after I tried switching to another provider. They cut service on December 23rd (Merry Xmas) and I waited a full week before I walked into another store simply to be told I didn't qualify for a new phone because of this company. I still don't have a working phone, and they refuse to restore my service. It reeks of scam and fraud at this point.SafetyNet Wireless

Absolutely no intention of dealing with a company that turns my phone off without notice two days before Christmas, doesn't restore service for a month, then when I finally identify the company four weeks later I was told by your customer service agent (that could barely speak english) that I had my service discontinued due to me trying to change my provider (which didn't happen for a full week AFTER my service was discontinued), then said agent telling me you absolutely refuse to restore my service. I filled out an application for ******** and after verifying my eligibility I am waiting for a SIM card to start my service through them. I will burn your SIM card, and that will be the end of my interactions with "Safetynet Wireless".Review fromTiara M

Good Morning,
SafetyNet Wireless has received your customer review in which you stated that your messages have been going through on an old phone number that was changed. Your account in our system shows that you are listed under your new phone number. Please have anyone that you call or to whom you send messages update your contact information in their telephones with your new telephone number. Once this has been completed, they will see your messages and calls showing up under the new number.
Thank you

Iservice.I have no service. I cant even call 611. I need a new sim card. They are collecting my money every month and not providing me service. This company has no technical support. People from India answer the phone and transfer you to a non existant tech support line that says its invalid and disconnects you. Ive been doing this for months now. When you ask them not to transfer you because the line doesn't work they hang up on you. You have to call back. When you ask for a supervisor they hang up on you. You have to call back. The corporate ofc number is disconnected. Once in a while you get an operator that says they will mail you the card They have been mailing me a sim card for three months now. I call back. Very Suspect that not ONE card has ever arrived. Yes, address on the account is correct. I email and ask for help. They give me another non working phone number that hangs up. I e-mail again. They will mail me a card. No card. This is fraud. This company has NO actual tech support. No actual real working customer service. How do they stay in business? Defrauding the government because low income people lack the skills to notify the correct channels of the abuse. Im appauled!SafetyNet Wireless

I just went ahead and got a straight talk phone.Review fromAle f

Based on our review this account was de enrolled as a result of failing to meet the Lifeline programs non-usage rules. The rules state the the subscriber must have qualified usage at least once every 30 consecutive days, if the subscriber fails to use the service at least once in that 30 day period the carrier must provide a 15 day notice that the service will be disconnected if no usage takes place during the 15 day "cure" period. Our records indicate that the following message was sent on 1-2-23
Due to non-use, your Safetynet Lifeline and/or ACP cellular service will be disconnected in 15 days. Please complete a call, text or use Data within 15 days. , Customer Id: *******, ****************
Since the service was not used during the 15 day cure period the service was disconnected on 1-18-23 in accordance with the lifeline program rules.

The worst service I have ever had! I have unlimited talk and text and 6GB of data monthly. Suddenly in the 2nd month my phone call drops right in the middle and I cannot make OR receive calls. At a very vital time in my job search! I finally reached them (couldnt call them from the phone, even with 611) and was told that I had used over **** minutes for that month. I said, ok, I doubt that seriously, but I have unlimited so what is the issue? And was told that they were going to be quite generous with me and allow me to have 250 minutes. And that I could keep calling back and they would keep adding 250 mins for free! But I woukd have to call each time. And they wanted a pat on the back for that answer! No, no, no. There is a problem with their accounting. I did not spend 16 hours on the phone, but even if I did, my plan is unlimited and this is NOT data. You dont cap minutes on an unlimited talk lifeline phone. And 250 minutes is a joke. I am planning on contacting the *** and Lifeline as well, but as of now? They are closed on Sunday and I have no more minutes until Monday morning. Hope I dont have an emergency and need my LIFELINE phone. :-(SafetyNet Wireless

Good Morning,
SafetyNet received your Better Business Bureau complaint concerning SafetyNet's unlimited plans. Our records show that a free load of 400 mins has been added to your account at 11:33 PM on 4/16/2023.Your monthly reload is scheduled to occur on 4/20/2023.Please note that the SafetyNet Wireless Free Lifeline plan is intended
to provide unlimited usage for reasonable residential service. The plan
provides ***** minutes of talk and ***** texts per month. This plan
automatically reloads each month on your plan activation date. Calling
the customer service number when you have "0" minutes on your balance
will automatically add 250 courtesy minutes without you needing to talk
to anyone. This option is available for up to three refills, after which
you must either email or talk to a customer service representative to
get additional minutes.
Based on our experience, we have determined
that reasonable residential phone usage is approximately 500 to 750
minutes per month. Our initial load is set up at ***** minutes, then we
allow up to 750 more minutes to be added by customers calling an
automated system. Once they exceed ***** minutes, we do require them to
call or contact our customer service department for account
verification before adding more minutes. SafetyNet feels that this is
fair and reasonable and wants to help prevent waste and misuse of this
government program.
We hope that this helps you to understand the way in which our system works.
Thank you
