For me to take the time out of work to write this review is completely unacceptable. I've attended Keiser university back in 2013, I've never notice an issue while attending the school, up until now when I got a call from a collection agency saying Keiser University drop my file on their desk for collection, and that this have been in collection since 2020, I then ask them why didn't anyone contacted me, we're in 2024, he says they just recieve my file . I've never recieved any phone calls or mail from Keiser University or their lenders that they pair you up with, this is completely unprofessional and unrighteous to the students who trust an institution for schooling, but not in Keiser university eyes. I repeat to all students who might have a pending application or thinking of attending Keiser university, This review is too prevent you new students who may have aspiration attending this school. I've never had this issue all the years I've attended college taking loans. 99% of my loans are in forbearance because I've recieved mail and calls for the 99%, and the 1% someone drop the ball, or not doing their job they were paid to do and contact the student and inform them or send the student notifications. A trust worthy institution wouldn't pair their student with lenders that are not trust worthy with their students. I tried calling Keiser University Pembroke Pines, spoke to ansar financial aid associate even he understood that this situation that occurred was completely wrong doing. The director of admission said he was going to get with the Financial aid director ************************ involved to find a solution, I guess she did not care enough to resolve an issue but rather telling the financial aid associate ansar its not Keiser university fault and to call collections and figure it out.Keiser University violated my trust, feel disgusted with the unprofessionalism. I feel like the resolution to this issue is complete full refund of my file they sent to collections

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the predatory and discriminatory practices that I have experienced during my time at Keiser University. As a student who aspired to pursue a career in nursing, my journey with the university has been marked by a series of disturbing events that raise serious questions about the institution's integrity and commitment to its students. In January of this year, I was ecstatic to have been accepted into Keiser University's Nursing program, having been given just a two-month window for the background check process. This opportunity represented a significant step in my academic and professional goals. I subsequently chose to move forward with the Associate Degree in Nursing (***) program. However, approximately three weeks into the program, well after the drop date/add cutoff, I was unceremoniously removed from the program due to a past charge that was subsequently dismissed in court, involving a false statement. I was accepting a year prior in the bachelor program, background again wasn't an issue. I only decided to proceed with the *** program since my mom was newly diagnosed with Breast cancer and I wanted to focus on her. What is most disheartening about this experience is that Keiser University was already aware of my background situation as early as July for the ADn program starting in August. I had initiated the process of entering the nursing program nearly a year prior, and the university possessed this information all along. The sudden expulsion from the program left me in a state of shock, disbelief, and distress, given that the charges against me had been dismissed in 2016. It is deeply troubling that Keiser University decided to proceed with my acceptance into the program while fully cognizant of my background and then abruptly decided to withdraw that acceptance. What compounds my frustration is the fact that I later discovered that Keiser University had allowed four other individuals with dropped and dismissed charges to enter the nursing program. This apparent inconsistency raises significant ethical and moral questions about Keiser's admission practices. This seems not only predatory but also discriminatory, as it appears that the university selectively applies its admission criteria.Furthermore, the financial aspects of this situation are deeply concerning. Keiser University charged me a significant sum of $12,000.00 for the entire semester, even though I was summarily removed from the program. I was denied access to scholarships and grants that could have been invaluable to my education. This predatory financial practice is unacceptable, and it should not be condoned.I am deeply disappointed that my dreams of pursuing a nursing career at Keiser University have been unjustly shattered, not due to my own actions but because of the institution's inconsistent and seemingly discriminatory practices. I strongly urge Keiser University to reevaluate its admission and expulsion policies, to treat all students fairly, and to address the unethical financial practices that I have experienced. No student should be subjected to such an unjust, distressing, and financially detrimental experience

I attended Keiser university's nursing program and had to sign up for predatory ending in order to go there, at the time I was not aware that is what I was doing. I incurred about ****** dollars in debt but graduated with my sanity. I have tried to get a hold of my transcripts and diploma but have been told again and again I would not be able to obtain these items until that debt is paid in full down to 0 dollars, which is crazy. I have also been told this debt went to collections but has been sent back to the university to hold. Not sure how that can be done. This has cost me career advancement, emotional well being, financial health and just the plain ability to be able to even begin paying this back. I simply am asking for documents that I earned. How can I even begin to pay for the debt if I can't achieve employment that would provide me a way in which I could even began to imagine education payments coming from. This school has injured me in so many ways and I am seeking a resolution to the pain and further injury it causes.

This school has failed me. Before graduation, I had to take out a loan and per the email I had the disbursement amount was $8131.00 in which I was required to pay $105 monthly while in school. The school did not disclose that I would accrued daily nor did they advise the loan given would be capitalized and have a fixed monthly payment. The school financial aid also failed to disclose that if you are looking for loan forgiveness or possible loan cancellation, this would not apply to the loan as the "client" does not qualify for this type of loan. Now present day, I am being told by the loan servicer ESCI Heartland, that the school set the guidelines and limitations on what fixed amount would be paid. This is unfair, and no one can afford paying the cost they are requesting. Where did the $105 go that was paid into the loan? This makes no sense and when you try to call the company whom does the loans they tell you its' on the school who set the guidelines to the loan. I have demanded to give me docs showing where I agreed to have this loan set where no help can be granted such as cancellation, or forgiveness and that I agreed to a fixed amount. I am getting no where. They also have said I was 1 month delinquent which how can you be delinquent if you not even in repayment yet? This is why I think this school should be held accountable for actions and not fully disclosing the entire truth to students... It's not fair and this needs to be addressed.

Keiser University ******** campus mislead me by saying that I would be covered with financial aid and looped me into signing up for a private student loan they went over the signing for it very fast didnt really let me take a look at anything just kept talking to me and saying that its fine (a bait and switch) verbatim in the financial aid office they said its financial aid not an actual loan . They told me it would have to be paid after graduation just like all student loans. Payments started right away asking for $100 at a time. Keiser University knowingly wanted money from me and then when I went to reapply for financial aid they asked me to get a co-signer I was severely confused because I thought it was financial aid FAFSA they had me open a FAFSA ACCOUNT AND NEVER USED ANY OF THE ****** Now Im in collections for them because I refuse to pay them for all of the negligence and blatantly scamming me. They also will not give me my transcripts they told me Ill have to purchase them online but only after Ive paid them. I have brought this up to the school in person and never got an answer as to a solution. They knew when I was in school that I have learning and mental challenges and they took advantage of that to extort money from me. It looks as though they did take my Pell ***** though so thats fantastic would have been nice if they had ACTUALLY USED THE MONEY I HAD SITTING THERE WITH FAFSA absolutely awful business

I am a graduate of Keiser University and have spoken to ************************* ******************** at Keisers *************** She was kind enough to confirm for me that the records reflect I have a $0 balance owed. As I informed her that my call is driven from collections calls and two accounts listed on my credit report as being unpaid for approximately $20,000 the attached acccount ledger was provided by her to aid in my dispute. As directed by her I have disputed the debt directly with their debt collection agency and via the credit Karma, but it has not been removed from my credit report as of today, by the collection agency and instead the balance is increasing. To resolve this issue I am requesting that Keiser provides the same information to their debt collection agency so they cease and desist the actions causing adverse decisions to be made. I am also concerned that this is being handled out of compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which I outlined in a recorded call with the debt collection agency.

I received a response directly from TransUnion as they found the supporting documentation confirmed Errors reported and as a result some of the record regarding Past Due Balance have been updated based on the account ledger ********************** provided that confirmed the balance is paid in full.
However, despite having received the complaint from BBB and TransUnion with supporting documentation  that the balance is paid in full the collection activities continues and the balance continues to grow. My credit score has dropped 100 points.

      President ****,

Heres the reference number to the complaint with the BBB where as you have advised you never received- please note it has since been closed due to no response.

You also advised that the record shows as what was provided to me by the **************** Keiser was paid by a private loan and at this time I have $0 balance.

You further stated you believe the issue is outstanding with **** of **** ***** and not Keiser as you have received payment in full from the private loans with the ****.

My concern is that the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act would require the entity in which You conclude Im indebted would report their collection activity along with their contact information to prevent the debtor such as myself from contacting Keiser- the wrong entity.

I request that Keiser contact all three credit agencies and have the account removed from collections. Additionally, please contact your debt collection agency and have them cease and desist their adverse actions confirming Your records show I have never been in Collections with Keiser.

The school has misled its students for decades. One good thing the department of education can do to stop the fraud in loans and financial aid would be to stop the school. I attended and ended up being told I would owe nothing to the college due to finacial aide. Later I get slapped with a $7,000 bill, which they swiftly send to collections. Now my balance with the college is $0!!!!! Any disputing and transaction is between ME and the COLLECTIONS agency they sent me to. And they still will not give me access to my transcript. I am about to start a new degree at a different school and they want my Keiser Transcript or I cannot get financial aide. No financial aide= no school for me. Is Keiser University really going to ruin my life over $7,000 that they got PAID OUT by a collections agency???? I'm running out of time. GIVE ME MY TRANSCRIPT!!!!!!!!!
