I did not sign up for a loyalty program yet am charged a monthly rate for it. I unfortunately did place an order for clothing which was delivered promptly yet there is this remaining bother ******* me monthly. Can it be removed - or do I cease to pay it?Business response

On May 31 2024, I ordered a swim top online from Coldwater Creek for $52.45, postage, $14.99, for a total cost $67.44. I was perturbed that the price had risen since the day before but I could not make the purchase until my Social Security check arrived. Like other complainants, I was not aware that I had been opted into a monthly subscription program when I followed up on offer of a postage refund. June 10, an email informed me Your payout is on the way! By July 1, I still had not received a postage refund. To really pour it on, I am elderly, with multiple health problems, and on a fixed income. I had learned I could use the local swimming pool for free. I needed a swimsuit. I justified the purchase as a long-term investment in my health, and looked forward to the refund: $15 = several meals. By July 1, I had not received the refund and to add insult to injury, $16.99 was deducted from my checking account. I contacted ********************** by email. A representative wrote that the check had been mailed June 9; I needed to wait until 30 days passed. On July 10, I re-contacted Coldwater Creek. I was asked to re-confirm my mailing address the same address where I finally received the swim top. I did. The response was: "Your gift code reward has been securely linked to your Coldwater Creek account. For any inquiries or assistance regarding your gift code, we recommend contacting Coldwater Creek directly. They are well-equipped to provide any assistance with your Reward. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know."I thought that meant the check for $14.99 had been sent, but when I still had not received it by July 25, I cancelled my Coldwater Rewards account so the greedy b******* would not steal another $16.99 from me. Re-reading their message, they may have passed the buck. I am sick of dealing with these people. I hope BBB can help.Business response

We confirmed with the loyalty program provider that the customer has been removed on 7/25/2024 and refunded $16.99 on 7/31/2024.

Coldwater Creek directly refunded $16.99 into my bank account. Why they couldn't have done that with the promised $14.99, rather than string me along about check, I don't understand, but I am now satisfied and accept the solution. The experience, however, has convinced me never to shop at Coldwater Creek again.Initial Complaint

I purchased clothing from Coldwater Creek in March 2024. Since that time I have been charged ***** monthly for Loyalty program. I did not sign up for this and it was never made clear. It was charged on my PayPal account. As of today I took my Pay Pay information off that account. I believe I should be reimbursed for the 4 months of charges.Business response

I evidently was signed up for some sort of program with Loyalty Coldwater International LLC when I ordered something from coldwater creek. I did not sign up for this program and I feel it is a scam.My credit card says they do not have a number to contact this company. I want this monthly charge canceled. This company charges customers a monthly loyalty fee of $14.95. The details are in fine print so it is easy for the company to grab some quick money from unsuspecting customers. It is a tricky practice and apparently many people have fallen victim to it. I pay through Paypal and I missed this charge until yesterday. The charges initially began in January. I will certainly not do business with this company in the future which is a shame because I like their product line. If I was reimbursed for the $14.95 monthly fee, I might consider doing business with them in the future. Right now my trust is shattered. I see other people have fallen victim to this scam as well. It is a scam. All of the benefit goes to the company and not the customer. Please help me resolve this issue. I have already complained to the company and to Paypal.Business response

On 2/25/2023 I made an online coat purchase from Coldwater Creek. I dont recall having a problem receiving the item, but I immediately started seeing charges for $14.99 for rewards from Coldwater Creek on my credit card. Because I was gradually paying off my credit card balance, I was not paying attention to the purchases (i.e. rewards charges showing up on my credit card statements). I had never had any issues with that credit card or Coldwater Creek before. When I noticed the charges, I immediately called the Rewards phone number and canceled the plan. At this point, I have unknowingly been charged (and paid) a total of $209.86 for 14 months of so-called rewards. I called and canceled the program on June 13, 1924. This is fraud and theft, and I want a refund for my total $209.86.Business response
