  We bought a puppy from you last March. We have had issues with her ever since we bought her, She loves our daughters and granddaughters and jumps up and grabs their pants. Hard to ignore. She even gets so excited she pees. This problem is far worse. She is fearful of males. When a man comes into our house she goes crazy, running at them and barking. They try to give her a treat and she grabs it but still acts like she is going to bite them. We've had a nice young man working at our house for 4 days and she has acted like this for the whole time. He tries very hard with her and she stops for a little while but then he moves and it starts all over again. It is very embarrassing. She is very smart and has learned commands in one day. We love her but her attitude towards men is unacceptable. I tried putting her in a time out. When I go to take her out she is shaking and very upset. I did reach out to you shortly after we bought her about this problem and you said she is trying to be dominant. She acts very afraid of them instead. I'm at my **** end. I know that she hasn't been mistreated as I'm with her almost all of the time. My daughter ha been tempted to buy a puppy from you but I discouraged her. I had a Havanese for 16 years and she loved everybody and everybody loved her.

  Were truly sorry to hear about the challenges youve been experiencing with your pup since bringing her home last march. First and foremost, we appreciate your patience and dedication to your pup. Your pup having good manners as well as feeling comfortable and at ease in your home is vitally important. All dogs are individuals and though your previous Havanese may have been perfect with limited training and reassurance, it sounds like your pup needs more structure and leadership to feel comfortable. It's important to acknowledge that while puppies do have their unique personalities and tendencies, owners play a crucial role in shaping their behavior and responses to different situations. As much as we strive to provide guidance and support, the environment and interactions within the home significantly impact a puppy's development and behavior. Positive reinforcement training methods, consistent boundaries, and socialization are essential components in helping puppies adapt to various stimuli and learn appropriate behaviors. In some cases, unintentional reinforcement of certain behaviors or inconsistent training practices can inadvertently contribute to behavioral issues. Please do not give up! It's understandable that navigating these challenges can be overwhelming, especially when trying to address complex behaviors like fearfulness or reactivity towards specific individuals. It sounds like you are under the assumption that this is a fault of ours and your pup will not change but that is not true. Consistency is key, so it's important for everyone in the household, including the children and visitors, to be on the same page and reinforce the same rules and commands. Dogs thrive on routine and consistency, and having clear expectations and boundaries will help your pup understand what behaviors are acceptable. Additionally, providing your puppy with plenty of mental and physical stimulation through activities like interactive play, walks, and training sessions can help channel her energy in a positive direction and prevent excitement related issues. Lastly, if your pup is fearful of men, having a strange man intentionally approach her, even with a treat, is a mistake. Though he may have good intentions, your pup views this as confrontation and a big, strange man walking towards her will be scary and intimidating! He should completely ignore her, no looking, talking or approaching. She will get curious and eventually she will approach him, this is when he should offer the treat, while continuing to not look at, talk to or touch her, until she grows more confident. We understand that your experience with your pup's behavior has been frustrating, and we empathize with the difficulties you've encountered. However, we kindly ask that you reconsider your 1-star review, as it appears to be solely based on your pup's behavioral issues, which are not directly related to our services or the quality of our puppies. Your review has a significant impact on our business, and we strive to provide excellent service to all our puppy parents. We would greatly appreciate it if you could take into account the aspects of our service that are within our control when reconsidering your review.   We picked up our puppy, ***, on Dec 2, 2023, and life hasn't been the same. He is the most happy, loving, healthy puppy! We spent countless hours on the Royal Flush website before he came home, and it was amazingly helpful. He has been home now for 3 weeks, and is basically house trained. An occasional accident only because I ignored his signal! I used the umbilical training for the first week ,which I learned about on the Royal flush website and it was fantastic. He was never more than 4 feet from me! He sleeps through the night now, and tells us when he wants to go out. *** is a welcome addition to our family and we adore him. We are grateful to Royal Flush their informative dialogue before we picked up ***, and for their continued support. They never hesitate to answer questions, and quickly I must say. Thank you Royal Flush! We love our new puppy.

  We have gotten two havanese from Royal Flush, three years ago and six months ago. Both times they answered many questions I had and was responsive with sending pictures of parents as requestesd. Both of my girls are smart and sponky with NO health issues. These pups are well breed!
