I was meeting this delivery person at the house to deliver a piece of furniture. As the truck went to leave, I reminded the driver that the mailbox was there and he needed to make a wide Turn, as he had backed in. He did not do so. He hit the mailbox and as I was yelling to stop, continued on his way out. My mailbox damaged the length of the truck, was bent where it attached to the cemented post which is now loose in the ground, the side is bent and the paint is removed and and the corner that made contact with the truck length is a mess. Marvin offered to " repair" the damage. How do you repair a NEW mailbox that had never been in service? I sent him the cost to replace it and "make it as it was", as well as giving him the mailbox he thought could be repaired., and he has refused. The guy he sent to assess the damage on his behalf and offer to " repair" it tried to solicit other work from me as he had 3 businesses on one business card. I want a new mailbox and will be going to small claims court. The level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable. I have reported him to Kanes furniture as this is the company that gave out his name to use for delivery.
