1 starI bought a new Toyota RAV4 limited, was totally underwhelmed with the staff. I wont buy from them again. Salesman busy, I was a total bother for him. Paid cash not one cent off. Im actually sorry I bought from them.Never test drove or picked a color. Im still upset about this buying experience months later. No stars for them is my choice but forced to give a star ratingReview fromPaul M

1 starIf I could give it zero stars I would. I got a recall notice on the Toyota I owned at the time and so I took it to AutoNation because it was the closest one, big mistake. After some time I got more recall notices and found out that it was because AutoNation had misspelled my name. After that I started getting junk mail from them with the misspelling. I've tried multiple time to be removed from their junk mailings to no avail. It not only shows me how incompetent they are in not checking spellings of names but how incompetent they are in removing an address from their mailing list.Review fromBrian F

Our 2015 RAV 4 had service completed late last year, 2022. The brakes were redone and a full-set of tires were installed. On the drive home, abnormal noise was noted when braking. We called on two occasions over the next days and weeks to report this issue. We were told by your representatives that this was normal after getting new brakes installed and it should go away after a couple of weeks. Oddly enough, the noise was not present the next 2X I drove the vehicle. Due to the nature of this car being a spare vehicle, it does not get drive very much so my wife probably did not notice anything. Having said that, when I drove it, I would notice odd clunking noises when driving down the road..even when not braking but when going over manhole covers. As I drove the vehicle on 25 February 2023, I noticed horrid sounds when turning a corner and horrible clunky noises when I ran over any bump. I rolled down the windows to isolate the noise. It was coming from the front drivers side. When I reached my driveway, I took the wheel off to inspect. As I started viewing it, nothing seemed interesting. When I looked over the top of the brake caliper, I noticed a s**** sitting on my steering arm. Then I saw something that horrified me. I saw that the caliper was not screwed in on the top or bottom. It was just hanging out loose over the rotor.I drove to the local auto parts store to share my story and picked up a pair of new screws. I installed them and saved our family from potential death.Your dealership lacks repair safety. So much so that it scares me. My family of 4 drove that vehicle at highway speed for more than a couple of hours to attend soccer tournaments etc. YOU COULD HAVE KILLED US. Had that brake caliper shifted/tilted at the right angle, it would have pinched itself against the tire rim and locked that drives side tire up at full highway speed and our family would not have been around to complain about it. I do NOT recommend service at this dealerAutoNation Toyota Fort Myers

3/14 Vehicle was last in for service on 8/2022. I am not showing any record of a call or the vehicle being brought back in to the dealership for an inspection after service because of a noise. If guest would like to bring the vehicle in we will gladly complete a thorough inspection of the vehicle.

1 starThis place is a disgrace. They have always been slow but don't advertise it probably because they don't want to pay for rental cars. I made an appointment and when I arrived there must have been 20 people in the waiting room looking exhausted. AFter 20 minutes and no one had acknowledged me, I had to go across the street for coffee because they didn't have any in the waiting room as advertised. Over an hour passed and still no meeting with the service advisor for a routine oil change. I came back because I had to get back to work and had only scheduled two hours per their website. They really need to provide rental cars for more than that. Attempted to address concerns with management, and was accused of being hostile. Over the years oil changes have never been quicker than two hours and they have never provided the complimentary cleaning they advertise on their website. There must have been 25 people working there (way more than the customers.) They literally didn't care when I said that they had lost my business. I don't have any idea how they have any customers at all.Review fromH. Y.

I traded my vehicle into AutoNation in ***** and bought a "used" 2022 vehicle located at AutoNation Fort Myers location. The vehicle had been advertised from *the dealership's* submitted information, to have minor front end damage consisting of a scuff. By phone calls and photos, the dealership claimed the damage was repaired and "looks great and ready to go for purchase." The dealership intentionally (I have video of, what I was told was the General Manager) admitting to intentionally defrauding and actively deceiving customers used false information to report to Carfax, intentionally uploaded false photos of the car's condition, intentionally relayed false information between his AutoNation dealership and the AutoNation dealership in ***** about the condition. The damage his dealership tried to cover up was a major front end collision, which he labeled all as a "scuff." The total "scuff" damage that was not disclosed on a "used" 2022 vehicle was: 2 broken headlights and headlight mounts, a bent hood, a broken grille, engine mounts at the fairing broken on BOTH sides, entire front bumper destroyed needing replacement AND the interior rear seat was COMPLETELY stained. All. Labeled. as. a. "Scuff." As well, as intentionally hidden with pictures of a pristine and new looking car, showing NO damage at all, as it was relayed to myself, my **************** manager that the "scuff" had been repaired. He also refused to give me the dealership license number for reporting, I have video of this as well. I also have video of him yelling and saying that he "does this with every used car he brings in, I label all damage as scuffs and send them out of the door. Good luck saying otherwise."They only reversed the deal after I threatened legal action despite having a 5 day window. This transaction despite being reversed, still cost me out of pocket expenses, opportunity loss & legal fees.AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers

Above customer purchased a vehicle and traded his original vehicle with an Autonation store in *****. He took it upon himself to take delivery of the vehicle instead of our normal process of shipping the vehicle to the customer in *****. He showed up at our dealership but the vehicle was not quite finished being reconditioned for retail. it was previously traded in and had some service and cosmetic repairs that we already authorized for repair by our service department. He became very upset and did not allow the time to try and take care of the concerns. The transaction was returned by our AutoNation store in *****. Because he was unsatisfied, we provided him with a refund as we have a 5 day return policy nationwide. He was not accepting of his ability to return the vehicle. He wanted compensation as he felt we misrepresented the vehicle on-line. We eliminated these concerns by providing all customers with this five day return policy. Why the customer feels to fabricate the experience is concerning. In the interest of customer service, we have also provided a fair amount towards the customer's travel costs to see the vehicle. We believe we have gone above and beyond to satisfy him including cancelling the entire transaction.

Just for clarity*I didn't arrive until I WAS TOLD that the vehicle was out of detailing. The damage to the vehicle when listed for sale was ONLY LISTED AS SCUFF with minor front collision. NOT AN ENTIRE MAJOR FRONT END WRECK. The EXTREME amount of damage and major vehicle collision was NEVER disclosed or reflected in the **** CarFax, OR AutoNation's description or pictures OR verbally when 3 people contacted your dealership to verify it prior to purchase. They tried to tell me AFTER the purchase that if I wanted to keep the car, I could wait a few days and they'd have it fixed. TO DAMAGE THAT WAS NEVER DISCLOSED IN THE FIRST PLACE.BAIT. AND. SWITCH. The car was purchased and completed, and THEN they reversed the vehicle. They didn't offer to reimburse me fully, they only offered some. Despite it being 100% their fault, lies, and deceit. The fact *************** has the audacity to even get on here and respond that this is fabricated is beyond reproach. That alone has irritated and insulted me to no end. I will not be letting this go.0000000 You haven't gone above or beyond a single ounce of effort, since it took me 5+ months to even get you to RESPOND in the first place. The fact you never even FIRED your sales manager for allowing this, shows even more intent. Aside from the fact you RELISTED the car using the SAME photos and description AFTER the sale was reversed, WITHOUT ever updating the ACTUAL damage, PROVES how criminal you and your dealership actually are. I literally have proof of every step showing my side. Video. Photos. Try me you lying "businessman."Review fromBrendt V

I read their online ad featuring a variety of cars for sale. The one that caught my eye was the lead entry on the display. The ad mentioned to call prior to coming in to verify they had the car using their specific reference number provided for each car on the ad. I did that and they confirmed they had the car. I drove a half hour to get their and waited 15 minutes to be helped by a rep in the lobby. After checking the lot I was informed they did not have the car. They said it was being worked on at a different location and should arrive later that day. It didn't. I called the next day and the next. Nothing. Finally decided to shop somewhere else. 2 days after buying a car I received a text from the salesperson saying the car was now available. Really? What a farce.AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers

8/15 We do apologize for any misunderstanding or extended wait you had for a vehicle to complete our thorough inspection. We stand behind our pre owned vehicles and therefore will not sell a vehicle before the inspection process is complete. As part of our one price pre owned deals and no haggle approach, we are unable to offer any further discounts on preowned vehicles.Review fromTheodore E

After my wife died I sold her 2021 Venza back to AutoNation Toyota. They agreed to pay off the loan and issue me a check for the difference between the amount of the loan and the car's value. The check they gave me bounced. My bank told me AutoNation's bank had returned the check. My bank called AutoNation's bank and straightened it out after a couple of days. No explanation for why the check was returned. I got a letter from Southeast Toyota Finance I expected to be a check. Instead they informed me that my wife's auto loan account (which should have been closed) was delinquent! I called Southeast Toyota Finance and was told the payoff check from AutoNation was returned! So AutoNation Fort Myers has my car (if it hasn't been sold) and Southeast Toyota Finance is demanding payment. My carefully built credit rating is being trashed.AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers

7/12 Our most sincere condolence to you during this time. Unfortunately, there was an administrative error on our part that was corrected immediately and the check was then cleared.
