On January 9th late afternoon I had a consultation for a liposuction procedure. During the visit, we discussed the procedure and I was given two prescriptions to perform blood work and an ***, along with consulting with a primary doctor for clearance. At that time I informed you that I was new to the area and needed to consult with my doctor. Therefore, I reached out to two of my doctors to discuss the procedure. After reviewing the medical history and the treatment I am currently on, they both concluded that they did not recommend that I move forward with the liposuction procedure. I immediately contacted the office on January 12th in the morning to cancel the procedure and informed you that I would not go for the *** or bloodwork. Therefore, based on the timeline I canceled with ample time a procedure that was scheduled for January 18 and the second part in February. I expect a full refund for a procedure that cannot be rendered and highly recommended to be canceled by my doctor. I refuse to go to a clinic that they are affiliated with and know they will get clearance even though they do not have my medical history as I recently relocated to ******* and they knew I did not have a medical relationship with a doctor in this area.

    Dear *****,

Thank you for your message and for sharing your concerns with us. It's paramount for us to ensure that all our patients feel heard and supported in their healthcare choices, particularly when considering elective procedures such as liposuction.

Thank you for consulting with your primary doctors and taking their advice seriously. Your health and safety are our top priorities, and it's essential that you feel confident in the decisions regarding your medical care.

I understand your decision to cancel the procedure based on the guidance from your doctors. However, I must inform you of our financial policy, which is designed to manage the significant resources allocated in preparation for such procedures. As per our policy, if a patient cancels their procedure within two weeks of the surgery date, the 20% deposit is non-refundable. Similarly, if a patient cannot obtain medical clearance within two weeks of the procedure, it is regarded the same as a cancellation for any reason.

This policy is essential for the effective operation of our services and to accommodate the scheduling and planning challenges that arise with surgical procedures. It is a standard practice in the healthcare industry, particularly for elective surgeries that require significant pre-operative preparation.

While I understand that this situation is distressing, the adherence to our financial policy is necessary for the continued provision of high-quality care and service to all our patients. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

I would like to provide you with the details regarding the refunds of your recently canceled procedures. You will be receiving a refund of $5,600 for the first procedure and a refund of $1,400 for the second procedure.

    First Procedure Refund:
    Amount Paid: $7,000
    Refund percentage: 80%
    Refund Amount: $5,600

    Second Procedure Refund:
    Amount Paid: $1,400
    Refund Amount: $1,400

Should you have any further concerns or need additional clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We are here to support you in your healthcare journey.
