I was having trouble find a reliable used car under $6000. I was limited due to recently having a house fire, getting laid off, my car breaking down and being a single mom. I went to 411 Auto Mall because I saw an add online. I have attached. I went for a test drive with the dealer, ****. When mwe were pulling out of the lot i felt something funny an asked him about it . He stated it was probably from going off gravel to a paved road (which made since at the time). The car seemed to drive fine. He did state that the only issue with car was that it needed aligned. No problem. I would take care of that. Within the first week, my care started acting funny. It would break ON IT"S OWN WHILE DRIVING. I could hear a cranking noise when turning certain directions.I took the car to my mechanic and OH BOY! He said I should contact dealership (which I did) and see if they would give me a different car on the lot as to fic this car would cost more than it was worth. They stated they replaced the battery, had to get a new battery with in a month a month or so. Stated that he had the timing chain replaced. WRONG. was advised that it needed a new timing chain. But the scariest part is that only after 6 months of having this car I sold it. The gentleman who bought the car took it to have tire replaced. The mechanic said "How did yo get here?" He advise him that the control arm was hanging on by a thread and the wheel was about to fall off!!! Again I am a single MOTHER who had children in a car that this dealership LIED about fixing. when they were contacted they wanted me to bring the car back into their dealership. This dealership was about 1 1/2 hours away and I did not feel safe. They would do nothing. Not even trade for another car if I towed it there. Topping everything off it needed a new transmission, brakes and well as ,any other items. This dealership should be punished for selling cars that could possibly harm or worse kill.
