    I was deceived by HealthPlanOptionsToday. I explained that I was a single parent looking for insurance UNDER COBRA for me and my son after losing my job and ***** was the only way my employer would agree to cover it. They made it seem like that's what they were providing, which was a lie. They never emailed me any paperwork. I realized what happened and called back right away. All I got - is them LAUGHING at me. I tried to solve the problem through my bank, and managed to get major amout back, but was charged $89.95 fee anyway.

    Client called the agency for health care coverage aon 4/3/2023 and her
    agent went over all the options, which included access to all major medical
    plans, that were available for her with her health concerns and the
    budgetary confinements that she had, she then answered all the health
    care questions and was placed on a policy, then within 24 hours she had
    not even received cards yet. This client initiated a chargeback with her
    financial institution and this account was placed on hold and she was
    promptly given a full refund on the total account of this client for both
    portions of her account including the $89.95 charge.

    I spoke with health plan options today thinking it was cobra insurance. They offered me a private insurance at half the price that would begin 10/13. I called back to cancel two hours after and I spoke with **** the medical director who said I wasnt fully enrolled but not allowed to cancel. I would like this insurance cancelled, I am afraid this is a scam.

    This person called in looking for insurance on 10/12/2022 due to the fact they lost their coverage from work. We informed them we are Health Plan Options Today an insurance agency and that Cobra is a federal policy which gives access to the insurance they had from work, also let them know that Cobra is not an insurance company.

    We explained in detail they have a direct cobra option and also may have other options based on their health in the ************** (limited medical policies) or their income through the *** **************** Act). They explained what their needs were, what medications they took and after explaining all the options that were available they decided to select one of the more affordable options presented to them. It is our job to find them the best solution for their needs, and based on the information they provided the plan they selected met all their requirements.

    After a few hours she apparently called to cancel and of course that is fine, while we transferred her to the cancelation department ******************* hung up. We went to responded to the request promptly and courteously, but the client had already *** a charge back with the health carrier. The customer service and billing department had nothing to take care of after the client had already ***e the charge back for the health policy, no action was taken for the prescription policy as her credit card had decline twice and the account was not active. 

    We are aware that getting health insurance can be stressful and that is why we take pride in going through all the options available to each client helping them make the most informed decision possible so they have a policy that meets or exceeds all of their medical and financial needs. 

    We have attached proof that the client is aware that her policies are inactive and that she was refunded the amount she paid for her health policy and she was aware that her credit card decline for her prescription policy as you will see in the attachment of her account screen shot. No further action is needed on these account as they are all inactive.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The facts are incorrect. I was told I could not cancel even before effective and put on hold indefinitely. I cancelled my credit card because this is a fraudulent company. I am thankful my bank protected me from months of being scammed.
