    If zero stars was an option theyd get zero. I was guaranteed to talk to one person, *******, who guaranteed my quote was guaranteed and well padded to cover errors. ******* took over and cut off my talking constantly. Condescending I didnt know how much c*** I have. Sent a written list of all my belongings, but he wanted to do it verbally; then talked over me the entire conversation. The quote was guaranteed. The moving coordinator was guaranteed. Delivery was guaranteed in 14 days its been 12 and I had to threaten calling my lawyer to get a response. Theyve tripled the quote when I barely had 1/2 the truck, exactly as Id repeatedly told both ******* and *******. Not even close to my first professional move the WORST company *** ever dealt with. They will lie. They will price *****. They will Ill charge more than any other company and they will stop communicating with you if you are displeased. Do NOT use this company

    I had an overall good experience with this company thanks to their sales representative, Jeremiah. He helped me navigate a fraudulent situation with another moving company and never pressured me to use his services. Instead, he patiently explained what to look for in a reputable moving company, which gave me confidence and peace of mind. Although I didn’t end up using this company due to logistics, I’m truly grateful to have connected with Jeremiah. He was helpful and supportive throughout the process, regardless of who I ultimately chose. If my current plans hadn’t worked out, I would have gladly chosen this company.     If you are planning on moving, please make sure you are working directly with the movers themselves. We contacted what we thought was Wheaton Movers, but in reality it was a 3rd party coordination company named Safe Ship Moving Services. They used the trucking company Direct Relocation Services based out of ***************, *******. During the first week of the move, DRS called to go over the inventory. Unfortunately we underestimated by a lot the amount of boxes and that ended up costing us more than double the price to move from ******* to **********. After years of planning our move the day was here...but unfortunately no truck driver, which as you know everything is based upon your move date. It turns out that after speaking to them several times we found out the driver was over 3 hours away and it was already 9pm. Needless to say the truck and driver showed up the next day. Summarizing our move, it took about 30 days to get our stuff out to ********** and that was after it went to *************** and then ***** for weeks. Once loaded on the truck it wondered about the country and eventually making it here. The only problems we had were the following: A shredder that was beyond repair A chipped $2000 ***** ***** desk Adhesive stickers that were stuck to everything that doesn't come off with anything but a ********** A lost / stolen fire box / safe A missing part to our carpet cleaner A smashed vase, cookie jar, and many damaged boxes So as you know that they insure by weight, so after months of their really difficult arbitration process we ended up with a resolution of $65 then bumped up to $115. Our shredder cost us $300. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly, but NO ONE took any responsibility for anything that was going on. I will never ever use a company like this again to move. You should think about it too. Also, if you take the check for $115 you are forbidden to say anything negative about the company. Keep the check!

    Were sorry to hear about your experience and truly regret that the move didnt go as smoothly as expected. While Direct Relocation Services was the carrier assigned to transport your belongings, we were not the company you initially booked withthat was Safe Ship Moving Services, a third-party broker. They handled the estimate, booking, and all pre-move communications, including the quality assurance call you mentioned. That call did not come from us.
    Once the order was assigned to us, we worked to accommodate your move, even as the inventory provided turned out to be significantly underestimatedsomething that impacts space, pricing, and scheduling.
    Regarding the damages and timing, we understand your frustration. Unfortunately, long-distance moves can sometimes face delays or reroutes, especially cross-country, but we acknowledge this situation couldve been handled better. In terms of valuation, were federally required to offer coverage based on weight unless full-value protection is purchased in advanceoften through the broker, not us.
    We never want a customer to feel like no one is taking responsibility. While we were operating within the limits of a broker agreement, we still take your feedback seriously and are committed to improving the experience wherever we can.

    ****, ****** and ******* were an amazing team! Very professional, excellent packing and moving. They were total gems and made the moving process the best Ive had. I would recommend them to anyone. Only use this team of movers, they were great!

    Run dont walk away from this company. Yes ***** seems like he will take care of your stuff. Its been over a year of their pick up, then delivery of half of my items, then trying to settle with them. ****** and crew arrived 3 days late 3/21/24 for pickup in ** with a an already full truck. They placed tiny numbered stickers on my items then completely commingled them with someone elses items to fit all into truck. Barely able to shut door. I was assured that my items were in warehouse as I waited for them to complete delivery in ** on 7/25/24. Which was well after the expected delivery timeframe. Surprise. A NY registered freighter delivered only half of my itemswhich included boxes of original framed art work, moms Royal Doulton china, irreplaceable heirlooms, and furniture. Then I began the Claims process online. This is a sketchy company as they make it difficult to fill in lengthy details in forms online. Multiple attempts to complete them took hours then they would get deleted. Dont try to call them as they have a friendly automated answering system that puts you on hold for 10 minutes then abruptly drops your call. I called about 20 times, same each time. I emailed and requested forms to be mailed to me. These emails had automated responses. Finally ***** was able to have them mail the forms. These were filled out by me and returned through Certified mail then second time through Registered mail. Today I am informed that after their review, Direct Relocation is willing to pay me $75! The value and weight of items is easily $10,000. Not to mention I paid for delivery of twice as many items than they delivered. I wasnt even seeking damages for items I did receive. They wrapped items in shipping blankets to take to warehouse then removed those blankets. Some had their coded stickers on them so easy to see how that system falls apart. I give them a 1 rating for their friendly demeanor as they rob you blind.

    We moved from Georgia to Michigan in January. Jackson and his crew did a wonderful job packing the truck. They did so with care. When the semi arrived in Michigan, the driver would not accept a Zelle Payment. I called and Jordy, Diego, and Maria straightened everything out in minutes. Phew!!! Maria was fantastic all during the move! She was patient and kind! Aloxonder and his cousin unloaded the truck. They were fantastic!!!! Somewhere along the journey, our 70 inch tv was broken. I called Maria in a panic. She talked with Diego, and he immediately said they would replace the tv. Phew again! Thank you Diego! Also a shout-out to Jason for making the final arrangements! Maria, you're the best! Starting a new life here was stressful and tedious! You calmed my nerves numerous times! Thank you for your kindness, diligence, and patience! ?? Overall, a great experience with Direct Relocation services!

    Should be 0 stars! Tried to triple rate a few days before the move, was late showing up, tried to increase bill again even after I had to get a U-Haul to haul half of my own stuff, then couldn't deliver when we were told, then showed up with no prior notification from the company on the only day we asked them not to, forcing us to cancel event plans, had no movers to help unload so we had to help unload our own stuff and the only reason I used a moving company is because I'm a disabled vet and recently reinjured my back. They made us pay before opening the door only to see that almost all of our stuff was destroyed, and it looked intentional as I have photos and videos to show. When I called to report this I was told "I don't have time for your shit" and hung up on. For the past several days I've called numerous times to be sent to voicemail, hung up on, and not have my calls returned. BUYERS BE ****!!!!!

    Me and my disability husband whom was diagnosed with ALS he’s in a wheel chair and barely can move. It’s just me with no family here in Florida so had to hire a moving company hired safe ship which subcontracted this company they called me 3 days prior to scheduled move date. Up the charge by 12,000$ then was supposed to at my at a certain date carried a day late. Stayed till 2 am. When arriving they should had been able to put all my stuff on a 26 foot trailer but told me of couldn’t it would be an extra . Of course they said they couldn’t put the extra on the truck so charged me for 2 trucks. Upon arrival of our new home mysteriously all my stuff was on 1 truck?? Upon unpacking they have messed my bed up broken pictures missing step ladder I’m sure they are a few other things missing. Stoled 600$ out of my purse which my disability husband was supposed to be watching. While I was showing them where to place things. I have pictures of a lot of damaged stuff. Very disappointed and felt like we was taking advantage. Locks have been picked open and total removed from all our locked stuff screws stripped and can’t be fixed. Worst experience in my life I will never hire another moving company again FYI they raised the price 3 x during the process on us 3 days prior to our move. I had my back against the wall due to having Dr appointments in our new state for my husband and had to be here in time to make his Dr appointments. I save jewelry boxes but didn’t have no jewelry in them all them opens and torn guess they was looking for jewelry. So if you want robbed and taken advantage of hire them. They are scammers and this company is joke. I just pray God has mercy on them. I had to leave 1 star to write this review.

    About 5 years ago I used Direct Relocation Services. They were the worst of the worst. I do NOT recommend them. Here are six reasons why:FIRST: When DRS delivered my stuff to my storage unit they lost two antique chairs that was part of a kitchen table set. They also lost a hand crafted desk chair with arms.SECOND: When DRS delivered my stuff to my storage unit, they left all the tarps and blankets wrapped around eight or nine pieces of furniture. They said those blankets would "protect the furniture" for the future, when I would inevitably have to move those furniture pieces again. It was only recently that I discovered the real reason they left the tarps on my furniture.....it was to hide the damage to broken tables, table legs, missing roller casters, antique wooden shoe shine boxes, etc. And those are only the things that I know about because I recently unwrapped them. THIRD: Initially, when it was easy to see that three chairs were missing, I called the owner of the company, that ducked my calls for months. I could hear through the phone, the owner whispering "is it that customer again? Tell him I'm not here." That was really crappy customer service.Fourth: I purchased ********************** insurance in advance, just in case I would have to file a claim. Then after a very long lengthy process of filing a claim with the movers, insurance, I finally received a $225 pay out. And because of the hassle with DRS, I just signed the form, to just take the money, and say the h*** with it.FIFTH: There is nothing worse, than the owner of a company, ignoring a customer until the customer finally gives up trying to fix a bad situation. I get it.....I'm a reasonable person....furniture gets lost, things get damaged....but the owner of DRS, was hiding from me, ducking my calls, and simply hoped I would "go away." And DRS was successful too.SIXTH: DRS used to be located in *******, ** and now their office are now in *****, **. (just FYI).Avoid this company.

    My experience with a move from an apartment to a storage unit with Direct Relocation was beyond easy from start to finish. ***** responded immediately every time I had a question. ****** and ****** were so efficient and personable during the move. I will definitely be using them to take the stuff out of storage and back into a new apartment. I highly recommend them!
