      I have purchased a package which was a lie in regards to what was agreed it could be used for. I did the refund process and received there email stating it be back within 30 days but it has gone past the 30 days they require to refund back to me. Now if I speak with anyone it's being left on hold with no answer back or told I'll see refund by end of day. Any help would be truly appreciated honestly. Below is the exact email sent stating refund is approved.5/22/2024 Dear ******,This e-mail is to notify you that your refund of $598.00 has been approved by the ********************* and it's on its way. Please allow up to 30 days for the credit request to be submitted, approved, and then for the refund to be processed; these funds will be credited back to the card that was originally used. After it has been processed, you will be receiving an additional e-mail with the refund details and a confirmation number.We advise you NOT to call your financial institution as this will only delay the process for the funds to be credited back to your card. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Our business hours are:Monday through Friday - 9am-7pm (EST)Saturdays - 11am to 4pm (EST)Sundays - CLOSED Thank you for traveling with us!ATA Travel ************************************ ************

      Good morning,

      As this is not an Atlantic Travel complaint. We have successfully obtained a full refund of $598.00 from Worldwide Getaway and have processed the refund in full.

      Their standard refund processing time is 30 business days after receiving a cancellation request. However, they often complete refunds sooner. In this instance, the refund was issued right around the 30-day ***** The refund transaction number is **********. Depending on the customer's banking institution, the funds should be back in their account in the next 7-10 business days, if not sooner.

      We consider this case closed at this time.

      It is greatly and truly appreciated for the assistance.   They have gone beyond the 30 day **** for refunding and they had also stated I have it posted no later then the 30 days in my account. 

      Where in reality it went past *********************************************************************************** the letter above could be 7 to 10 more days.

      I have contacted my bank though and they see nothing pending as of yet.

      I will follow up with my bank daily too verify any changes and if shown will make sure update immediately.

      Again it means a lot thank you for everything.

      On August 25, 2023 my husband, ***********************, talked me into getting a vacation package. We have had one in the past and it was great. I was weary of this the whole time and told my husband and he told me it was ok. We were told we would get all of these different packages for the price we paid. Blah blah blah. After a few weeks, I started to research this company Travel World Getaways. I read SOOOO many bad things on BBB about this company. I read someone say that you can cancel it if its within 30days and get your money back. So I called. This was around September 10th. I told them I wanted to cancel it because we needed the money. They were perfectly fine with it and told me they would refund my money. A week went by and still nothing. I called back. Oh. It can take up to 15 business days to receive your money. I called on the 16th business day. I was told they they had lost some employees and were short staffed. To give them a little longer. I called a week later. I was told that I should have received it by now. They would make sure I get it. Here I am 8 1/2 months later and I still have not gotten my refund. Im not sure if I need to pursue legal action. This is $648 we are talking about. If you get a call from them, PLEASE for the love of all things holy DO NOT purchase the vacation package.

      On May 24, 2022 I purchased a vacation package for Travel World Getaways which included 4 separate vacations to various destinations of my choice with NO EXPIRY. Today I tried to redeem a vacation and I was told that my packages had expired and I'd have to pay an additional $298 to be able to use them. This was not agreed to and I see now that this company is scamming people out of their hard earned money. I've included a copy of my order so you can where it specifically says "NO EXIRATION DATES". Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

      I was told by this company that I would receive a full refund of my money within 15 to 20 business days. Its been over 20 days and when I call to speak to someone, they tell me that their are people that has been waiting for more then 30 days for a refund which is not right.

      Much like the 2022 complaint, my mother was contacted by World Wide Getaways sales office. The office stated that they would sell her trips for her, but that she would need to pay the taxes and processing fees for this to happen. So she did, to a tune of $4,000 and $3,999. She thinks World Wide Getaways will be contacting her any day, to tell her they have sold her trips..but nothing! She has not heard a word from them! This is totally a scam on an elder lady who in her prime loved to travel. I have also contacted ATA, they said they are not affiliated with World Wide Getaways, they said they book trips. Getting a bit of a run around with them, but hoping a supervisor will contact us tomorrow. I do not understand how they could work with such a lying/underhanded Company and Sales Team that is World Wide Getaways. *** told me that no one would be contacting my mother again to sell her trips or something to the effect that they have placed a stop/hold on her account(do not understand this as they supposedly did not sell to her in the first place, *** said they just books the trips?!?!) SCAM on the elderly shameful

      on 11/10/ 2023 travel world called and promised me a travel location which i asked for at the time of the call.they promised me that i could get that location for the week of thanksgiving.once i paid them they transfered my call to booking. booking told me that i could not get that location. at that time i requested a refund. i was promased to get the refund within 15 business days.i called on 11/30 2023 and 12/05 2023 and both times i was told the money would show up in my bank by the close of business on the following day. they took $299. from me

      9/28/2022 The salesman misrepresented/lied about the travel package that I purchased. He said that the low $299 multiple vacation package was able to be priced so low, was because Travel World had purchased my expired Hilton package (not true, as I was still able to book Hilton travel with the "Expired" package and it had never been sold to Travel World).Now, when I try to book travel with the package, I am redirected to Dream Week Vacations and there are additional fees of over $300. See the attached invoice noting all $00.00 for the vacation weeks and the single $299 total.I am seeking a refund of my $299 because I was lied to and the package is not what the salesman said that it was.I've tried to have Travel World customer service listen to the recorded sales call and they refuse to help.

      After filing the complaint, I have received a refund. The company has not communicated with me except through Dream Week week Vacations acting on my behalf.

      In January 2023, I was approached by Travel World Getaways to purchase travel at a low rate if paid in full in advance that never expires. When it came time for me to reserve my vacation stay (5 months later - June), I was given a number that actually directed me to ATA Travel whose supervisor, ************************* stated that I purchased access to discounts for travel. This person at ATA Travel is extremely rude as well as aggressive and would not listen to me when I told her I had proof of what I had purchased from Travel World Getaways. She said there was no one else I could talk to about getting an appropriate resolution, so I requested my money back as I was lied to & this was an apparent scam by companies who are working together to make me believe I was purchasing hotel stays in advance. ************************* angrily declined my request for a full refund, stated I had 30 days to review the document from Travel World Getaway to ascertain a refund, & railroaded the conversation by yelling that I had no choice but to use the travel certificates she sent me which directed me to a link of another organization named Dream Vacations which requires the perspective traveler to pay even more money to make each one week reservation with them.The document given to me by Travel World Getaways explicitly states I paid in full for the resort stays NOT access to discounts. It also does not state anything about a 30-day review period. In fact, the receipt specifically states there were no expiration dates pertaining to this purchase. I tried to email the only contact information to Travel World Getaway to ascertain a refund to me in full, but no response was received. The only phone number listed on the receipt sent me directly back to ATA Travel.I did not receive the product/service I paid for. I was scammed by both Travel World Getaways/ATA Travel/Dream Vacations (*************************). The only solution is a full refund. Fraud is a federal offense & will be reported to the ****

      ATA Travel Services did not sell this customer any ********************** package. We do not sell anything. We only handle the customer service for ********************. His complaint should be with Travel World Getaways, not ATA Travel Services. We will contact Travel World and have them refund this customer ASAP. We apologize that he was not told that the package is an access to discounted weeks but again, ATA was not the ones who he purchased the package from. We will make sure that Travel World gives him a full refund immediately.

      ** BUYER BEWARE** I received a phone call from Travel World Getaways. It started as any sales call with me being dismissive and letting them know I'm not interested. They went further describing the vacations as something I can use anytime, transfer as gifts with nothing more to pay. I listened and what I ended up buying from Travel World Getaways was (4) week long trips to various resorts, a trip to an all inclusive resort in ****** and a cruise, all for ****** and with NOTHING MORE TO PAY. I asked several times. "so if I gift this to my daughters, they won't have to pay anything else?" They told me repeatedly "no, they won't" "no additional costs" Fast forward to today where I'm trying to book one of these for my daughters. I had to dig up the Order ID and receipt as well as the phone number. I called, they sent the code and turns out it's NOT free or NOT no additional costs, it's a discount program. So they lied, I made sales people repeat themselves over and over and they continued to tell me that my purchase would give me all these trips at "NO ADDITIONAL COST" I'm even willing to forgive the fact (because I travel a lot) that the resort fees are not included. But this is not that, this is a discount program where I would pay $329.00 PLUS taxes and resort fees. They misrepresented this product and are unwilling to refund my money. I was lied to. *** BUYER BEWARE *** they are not honest sales people and should NOT be allowed to sell these products. I want a refund because if they told me what the product actually was, I wouldn't have purchased. I think they know that and that's why they sell the way they do and the receipts read the way they do because they have a 30 day return policy so unless you try to book within 30 days you won't discover the lie.I had to do more research because BBB rejected my 1st complaint because the names didn't match up. on my portal they go by travel world getaways but they also have another name of "worldwide getaways"
