    I previously lived at these apartments Aqua At Windmeadows in 2020 here it is August of 2024 and we(roommates) still have not gotten our deposit back. We have called the apartments multiple times and they are absolutely no help stating they have nothing to do with deposits and we have to speak with Corporate. We have called corporate multiple times and have spoken with Account Receivables and they state they sent out a check multiple times(They did not) we updated the address with them and was given a case # ******** and they stated they sent out the new check in July. It is alost September and we still have not yet received the deposit. They also charged us $374 in late rent when we were current on our rent. When we spoke with Accounts Receivables they sent us a breakdown which I will attach here. This has been an issue plenty of prior residents have had with Aqua At Windmeadows not receiving their deposits back. It has been years this is absolutely unacceptable.

    Moved into an apartment unit that had a German Cockroach infestation on day of move in. Have notified office on day on move in and day after and no remedy was offered except pest control to come a week later. Have had to stay at a separate location and have killed 5-6 cockroaches every time I’ve been in apartment. See below picture today for what has been killed. Unit has a washer and dryer with no water hooked up to it. Was told water would be turned on day I moved in and then subsequently the next day and nothing has happened. It’s a week later and still no water to washing machine. Would like to get out of lease or move to a new unit.

    I'm a former resident at a rental community in Gainesville, Florida. Aqua At Windmeadows is everything but the "luxury" rental community they claim they are. My overall experience with them was incredibly unpleasant. On move in not a single surface was clean with a film of dust on everything and dead insects in nearly every corner (16 in the kitchen alone). During my time there even the simplest requests would be ignored for weeks at a time. My complaint is that on move out they charged for damages I am not responsible for. During my stay there I had a couch in the living room with the necessary non-slip pads to protect it from causing damage to the floor. Due to the cheap quality of the linoleum my couch pierced through the floor. They're currently attempting to charge me ******* through a service called Rhino along with another ******** for "cleaning" even though I left the apartment far cleaner then when it was given to me. I want them to drop the claims against me through Rhino and to return my deposit to me. My stay there was incredibly unpleasant, the apartment was filthy, and the staff was horrid. Below I've attached photos that reflect the quality of the apartment.

    I am a resident here from Aug 2021 to July 2022. When I moved in, I paid two-month rent as my deposit and I was told it would refund to me after I moved out in 60 days. The problem is, I moved out on July 2022. Until now, I still have not received my deposit. I tried to contact the office several times but it's useless. They sent a deposit to the wrong address which is different from what I filled in the move-out form. It takes almost three months to revise it and they send a new one as 3.pdf shows. But after 2 months, i still not received my deposit and nobody answered my email.

    We moved out July 8,2022. After a couple weeks after we moved out, we called to ask if there have been any deductions to our security deposit as the Florida state statue requires notice of deductions within 30 days if they do not return the full deposit within 15 days. The person on the phone said that there were no deductions listed and the security deposit was processing through corporate’s end now. After a month, we called again and we’re again told, it is on corporate’s end to send the check. Weeks kept passing by and Aqua eventually either stopped picking up the phone or said they couldn’t help as the property manager was not there. I was told they would leave a message for the property manager to call me back several times but they never did. I’ve reached out to corporate twice and the second time, the person herself said that the length of time we waited is unreasonable and even illegal as it’s been more than 70 days past the 30-day window. I reached out again to Aqua and they said the property manager is not available and they couldn’t help me with anything regarding security deposits. We finally got the check in the mail but it was only for $155.00 when our security deposit was $300.00. We have pictures of our move-out condition and we made sure everything was spotless when we left. There are many people in the same boat as us as evident in their online reviews.

    . After reviewing the information in the system for this previous tenant I have not found any discrepancies regarding her deposit amount. I will forward over the information I have and hopefully we may be able to resolve this matter rather soon.     I am rejecting this response because: I do not agree with the damages provided on the list. We were told that minimal paint wear would be acceptable and the pictures show just that. A $100 charge is extreme as we asked maintenance ahead of time if the small chips from the command strips were a problem. They told us that the apartments are repainted every time someone moves out anyways so we did not have to worry. That also explains the layers upon layers of paint that would come off on its own. It's a fraudulent charge. I will accept the stove charge because although I cleaned it to the best of my ability, I understand if they wanted to get it professionally cleaned.
