Dates of transaction were 3/5/2023 to 3/8/2023 when I took my dog to blue pearl because he had thrown up several times and was acting ill. My dog is anxious and we had been there before, a year earlier for something similar. The first day they did labs and said he was dehydrated and put fluids under his skin and sent him home. Day 2, still not better, I took him back. He spent the night this time and they took an X-ray the they said just showed gastritis or gastroenteritis. He came home the next day supposedly better. I called half way through the day because he threw up even though he was on cerenia. He regurgitated a couple more times, so I took him back around 8 pm, when they informed me they were closed the next day. An emergency vet, closed on Wednesday?? They were short staffed and it seemed to me the vet was trying to push me out the door. Because he had a bond with one of the techs there, I wanted him to stay with her. They called me at 4am telling me he was worse and I needed to come to get him. I did and took him to UF small animal hospital where he was found to have a foreign object within an hour and was in surgery to remove it. The foreign object was quite large, not sure how they missed it. The doctors at UF were surprised by that and the horrible radiologist reports that said there was no foreign object 3 different times, plus a $900 ultrasound that they acted like they had no idea how to read. This is a horrible facility. Owned by a very large company that should have enough resources to hire good staff. They no longer had a receptionist so the techs were doing double work. Thank god my dog made it through this, but in 3 days they charged me over $5000. I only spent $4000 starting over at UF and him having surgery and a 3-day stay, which is the only way he got better. They just kept charging and charging, they saw a distraught mom and took advantage.

I am rejecting this response because:

no one has reached out to me to discuss this matter. My dog wsas put through 4 days of hell because these people kept telling me after numerous xrays and ultrasounds that he did not have a foreign body in his abdomen. When I finally got him to UF they found it on the first llok on ultrasound and had him in surgery that night, to remove the foreign body. They took advantage of me because I was willing to do anything to help my dog who was really not feeling well. I was terrifeid. The charged me for one of the ultrasounds on 3/7 twice. They basically caused half his issues but not finding the true issue. I did not take him to UF right away due to them telling me he did not have a foreign body, so I thought all he needed was fluids and meds to support him through what they said was wrong,  gastroenteritis. They need to refund my money.
