  ***** at all cost! We ended up choosing this company for our 1-bedroom apartment move due to their bid being the best we could find. They were very responsive and courteous upfront. Our long-distance move was quoted at $1950, but once the items were loaded onto the truck, we were informed that we were over the original quoted 300 cubic feet of space by 280 cubic feet and our price was now going to be $4018. More than double! They also added wrapping at extra cost that we signed the contract saying we DID NOT want. The guys loading the truck said we would have to contact the office regarding the extra costs - this is when the responsiveness stopped. They avoided our calls and ignored our emails. Upon delivery 11 days later, they sent 1 mover to unload the entire move. The mover would not unload the truck prior to final payment. This took over an hour trying to contact the project manager on a Sunday about removing some of the extra packing charges. They did refund half of the extra packing costs ($137) and agreed to negotiate further once getting back into the office. We felt terrible for the one mover that had to bring everything in - and it was a rainy day. I did help carry in a few large items. After getting all of the items moved in they were measured and it turns out we had 401 cubic feet, not the 580 cubic feet that they claimed. Multiple calls and emails have been sent since and not a word of acknowledgement from the owner or project manager. Go figure. We would not mind paying for the extra that we had, but we should have been notified prior to loading it all into the truck, and they way overdid the extra amount. Terrible excuse for a business and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

  I used Space express for an out of state move, ** to **. I was given a quote, paid a deposit and then charged over $800 extra when they picked my stuff up. That was the first red flag, but I was promised my stuff would leave that weekend and since I was ready to receive it , it should be there in 5 days. After they took my deposit, 50% down and stuff, I had to contact them for updates. All I got were excuses about why my stuff was still in *******. On day 20 I got a call from the driver they sent my stuff with. He was outside my door, telling me I had to pay an extra $486 because he had to get a Uhaul truck to bring my stuff, because his truck couldn't fit where I live. I live on a lane, this was discussed with Space Express and they said it shouldn't be a problem. I called and of course all they had were excuses and took no responsibility for this. So I had to rent a Uhaul myself and get my stuff from the driver in a parking lot. And have other people unload it into my house. Space express moving is a nightmare to work with, they will make promises they don't intend to keep until they take your money and stuff.I would never use or recommend them to anyone! BE WARNED!

  Full package moving - Full packing, furniture dissembling and assembling Interstate moving - From ***** to ********. FYI: As per *****, they are only allowed to do intrastate. At pick up location- thy packed and loaded the truck, at some point they said the truck was almost full and that the cubic feet estimated had increased by a lot, I had no choice rather than agreed the extra charge given the circumstances (loaded truck already), the estimate increased by 30%. I really didnt feel comfortable with it, especially when I found at the delivery point that they had packed medium size boxes with very few items, ex. 1 medium box with 1 pillow, very deceive. At Delivery location- arrived 3 hrs late (extra hours for elevator usage). The team that arrived was composed by unprofessional guys, none of them knew each other nor had moving experience, they were picked up by the driver (who did not speak a word in english-only russian) in the street as they responded FOR A ********** AD, $20usd per hr. Space express brought unknown people to my place, unrelated to the company, VERY UNSAFE!, n the midst of the moving 2 of them started a fight as 1 complaint about the other work and they almost engaged into a fist fight in my place, with my newborn, 4yr old daughter, spouse and mother witnessing such a scene. The driver and another guy ended up taking the 2 guys out and 1 of them left the site. As such unprofessional job, they ended up damaging my belongings, the assembling was ended up done by me and the super of my building, boxes and furniture were left upside down, etc. I made a complaint with the manager, but he relied everything on the insurance for the damages of my belongings, as per the service, he didnt even bother to discuss, ironically, he said that there is not such university which graduates movers, no comments for that, I leave it that for you. I am planning to dispute the damages of my belongings and the ***** services, most likely illegal, provided.
