HK Contractors installed an Air condition unit in my house on or about February 2022 for the sum of $12,740.00. It's supposed to have a 10 year warranty. about 1month later i called them because the heater wasn't working properly. After a few calls someone was sent out to repair the the issue and it still didn't work. On May 18 2023 I woke in the middle of the night sweating because the A/C fan was working but no compressor activity. I've tried calling, only to receive a message that the phone don't accept calls.

In the fall of 2021 HK Contractors (CCC1332408 CGC1528633) completed a roof replacement project funded by Ygrene through the **** program. In April of 2023, I discovered the roof is leaking. I attempted to contact HK Contractors, however they do not appear to have any current or working contact information. I then called the finance company, Ygrene, who advised they have terminated the contract with HK Contractors due to **'s misconduct and no longer do business together. ****** offered no remedy and instead told me to call the *****************************************************, who told me the only thing I could do is file a complaint against HK Contractors, which I have done. I am now in the process of contacting the Tax Appraiser to see if I can stop payment from my escrow account to Ygrene until this issue can be remedied.

As of April 11, 2021, HK Contractors LLC (CCC1332408-CGC1528633) installed Hurricane "Impact" windows and doors. On July 25, 2022 I called the Company to notify them that there was a problem w/ the door ( the front door lock seems to be jammed). They said no problem, they will call be back and let me know when they will send someone out. They never called me back. I called again on 7/28 to follow up and they apologized for not getting back to me. Then they said the manage would call me back. No one ever called me back. On 8/3/2022 I called and demanded to speak to someone who would help me. They asked me "did you tamper with the door? did you make the door damaged?" .... excuse me (it's a brand new door!)? They asked me to send a video and pictures directly to the manager. I explained that I can't arm my house because the door doesn't properly lock, ADT is asking for us to sign a document that they can bypass the front door to arm the house. This is the safety on my Family!!!!!! ***** ************. I did exactly what they asked and they said they would send someone out 8/4/2022 between 4-6pm, no one showed up and no one called. I reached out to the company and they had no clue that no one showed up ( I have all text messages from the manager). The manager said she would tell me what's going on and never did. Then on 8/5/2022 @ 5:30PM, the manager calls me frantically that someone is there. So you just show up at my house with no notice and expect someone to be there. I don't work? I don't have a job? Just like them? So she tells me she will call me back and tell me when they can come. Here were are 5 full days later and no one calls me back or follows up. Today, 8/5/2022, a full 17 days later, my front door does not lock and no one from the company has a solve? You can see from the pictures, the door has NOT been tampered with. We need it fixed!!!!

July 11 of 2021 is when I signed a contract with HK Contractors to replace my roof with a shingles roof. The roof was funded through a 3rd party, Ygrene, for $27,000. They applied for a permit and began working my roof 2 weeks later, the soffix was left open for inspection reasons, the inspector came Nd did not approve the work HK Contractors than stated that someone would be out that day to make the improvements, no one showed up. After multiple calls to the contractor and filing a claim with Ygrene, the owner ******************* contacted me and made unkept promises, and also informed me that te permit expired and applied for a new one. For pandemic reasons the permit was approved in February and I began to make calls again, finally I was able to speak with the office manager, ******************* Danacker, who assured me that she would be finalizing this project. In early ***** is when contractors showed up to my home to resolve the issue from the failed inspection in October, only to not be denied of approval again. Again, I was told someone would be out that day to resolve it, and no one showed up. Now Im back to ground zero, calling weekly to only be ignored and fed lies by the receptionist, no one had returned not one phone call, more so, I have now reciting notification of a 4th npermit that was applied for, which I know because I received notification at my residence. Its starting to feel sketchyand as a consumer Im feeling scammed and helpless with an undone roof that I will begin paying for in November. Please help me resolve this issue. Thank you.

HK Contractors, LLC was contracted to install hurricane impact windows and doors with financing secured through YGrene financing. The workers arrived and installed windows improperly, leaving one window to cause a leak in my daughter's room when it rains. Another window did not include springs and falls immediately upon opening. Other windows were installed on an angle withan improper fit. Nearly all windows were missing the screws to properly secure placement. The measurements for our master sliding glass door were apparently taken incorrectly. Thus, the workers removed our prevous sliding glass door and inadvertently broke the frames for the old door. Then realized that the new door would not fit, leaving a large gaping hole in our lakeside bedroom at night. Their solution, which was not apparent before they began implementing it as there was a language barrier, was to attempt to adjust the size of the structure for the sliding glass door, sawing through concrete and impact the structural engineering of our home (without a permit to do so). This is only a fraction of the issues that we have experienced. The inspector laid out the issues quite clearly indicating multiple reasons for why the work did not pass inspection. However, we have yet to hear from HK regarding a plan for resolution. Additionally, the original financing from YGreene includes a hurricane impact garage door (for $2800). We were told by HK that it was not included, and that we would have to pay an additional $6000 if we would like the hurricane impact door installed. Essentially double charging us with a significant mark-up.

I am rejecting this response because: the second roof repair was done. This not address the issues referenced in the original complaint as the initial complaint did not include the roof repair issue.

      Sincerely,

A representative from HK Contractors, assured ***** **** that, "we cannot receive compensated until you are satisfied, and the roof passes inspection by the City of Miami Gardens Building Inspectors. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On June 8th, HK claimed that Ygrene could pull funding if the new contract was not signed on June 8, 2021. The new contract was only supposed to have the correct spelling of ********* ****'s name, the inclusion of the $8,000 to replace the wood and the new financial start date. HK Contractors also included a Completion Form signed by **** ********, Owner and Project Manager. He knew the roof was far from being complete. This was the scam to get Ygrene to release the money. Once full payment was received, they didn't complete the job as promised. Note: Ygrene DID NOT threaten to pull financing. All they wanted was the Certificate of Completion signed so they could get paid. On July 30th, the Miami Gardens Building Inspectors came to finalize the project. The roof didn't pass inspection. The inspector noted on the job report for HK Contractors to redo the carport, put vents around the house an extend the roof that overhangs at the front door and side walkway. HK Contractors completed the carport on August 2, 2021, but they refused to extend the front door overhang or walkway overhang that protects us from inclement weather. HK Contractors said they would correct the problem after the roof passed final inspection. The roof passed final inspection on August 3, 2021, but they never came back. We add $8,000 for the wood replacement, bringing the total cost of a simple shingle roof to $50,997.77. Upon replacing the drywall in the ceiling, we noticed rotting wood. The wood was never replaced. All we are asking is for the roof to be fixed properly with the overhang over the front porch, side walkway and wood replacement. ***** **** is a retired veteran of the United States Army. Please help to resolve this conflict.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2021/12/14) */ The information stated here is 100% false the roof replacement to this very damaged property was done 100% by the book extreme amounts of wood were changed and the project was done per city code and passed all inspections properly. This homeowner is not happy because there was a front carport area that was an illegal structure that is no longer approved by city standards our contract did not include rebuilding permitting or restructuring a carport HK Contractors Online their contracts to the fullest but will not do additional work for free because a homeowner did not understand the process of what is known to be a roof replacement and not structural rebuilding.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/15) */ contract was signed for job with HK and exactly at our installation window she is "out of town" and refusing access to the property to do our job being in breach of contract, now that job is complete client refusing to pay. lein has been placed on the property and inspections on hold until payment issue resolved. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/10/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They are liars! job for windows was scheduled by **** in office, we were home, taking time off from work, so windows and doors could be installed even made workers lunch! we were also told it would be a 1 day job, became 3 because they didnt have enough people for windows and sliders and garge door guy didnt show 2x , they lied about having permit, therfore having no permit, there can be no inspections, Will not sign ****** financing papers until job is completed correctly! Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2021/10/20) */ Permit is approved by your city however your city municipality is having technical issues and therefore cannot verify a very standard document you should check with your city and hopefully your complaints can help push something forward. We will not have a final inspection of the property until homeowner has paid their bill. Very difficult dealing with homeowners that are trying to get a job for free Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2021/10/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) spoke to city today, permit still not approved has been denied, 7/1,7/6,9/30,10/8,10/20 and it scheduled to be reviewed again 11/1, again not looking for a job for free, will not sign ygrene financing papers until we have the permit , everything is fixed properly ! Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2021/10/21) */ The installation of the windows and doors is complete HK Contractors Will be filing foreclosure of the lien on your property inspection will be held only after payment is complete We discussed touch ups which we are also happy to complete Once engaged in the contract it is customary not to be "out of town" when within installation window. Contractor purchases and pays for materials and permitting up front and wait months once material is ready it is our right to install and collect Consumer Response /* (4200, 16, 2021/10/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) again, job is notcomplete, as Lily herself told me when job passes inspection it is complete, there has been no inspection, no permit!! windows and doors never should have been installed, but you trust your contractor, and they proved that you cannot trust them because they lied!! window is sagging, replaced concrete with caulk that is rubber and you can bounce a ball off , job needs to be 100% complete and contracts wil be signed, I have no issues with going to court
