According to FL law for towing, the company must charge according to Miami-Dade rates and cannot charge extra fees. Moreover, the towing company is responsible for any damages to the car when towed. I was illegally charge $25 for Dollies. Moreover, my car had one white scratch above my left tire and a white chip on the left tire rim area.

I live in an apartment complex where I have a reserved parking spot for my car. On the night of December 1st, I found someone parked in my spot. Since Ive parked overnight on a nearby grass patch across the street many times beforealong with other vehiclesI decided to do so again. The next day, around 1 PM, I went to my car to make a few work-related phone calls and then returned to my apartment. When I came back out at 5 PM, my car was gone. Assuming it had been towed, I called all the towing companies listed on signs around the apartment complex and the grass patch where I parked. To my surprise, none of them reported having my ********** that point, I called the police, assuming my car had been stolen. An officer from *** (***********************) in *********** arrived around 7 PM, and I filed a report. I then remembered that my wallet, which contained an Apple AirTag, was inside the car. Using the AirTag, I tracked the car to an address and informed the officer. He went to check the location but i did not hear from them. Frustrated, I decided to investigate myself.I located my car at a towing yardthe same company I had called earlier, which was linked to my apartment complex. When I informed the officer, he simply said, OK, great, and hung up. Did not answer when i tried calling back. The towing yard was closed by the time I found it, so I decided to return the next morning. Upon arrival, I called the towing company, as it still appeared closed. They initially said they didnt have my car in their system but promised to send someone over. When they arrived, I was told I had to pay $175 to retrieve my car. Despite explaining the situation, the driver insisted on the charge and provided no resolution. I had no choice but to pay and retrieve my vehicle.

I parked in a parking lot that had two separate entrances. One entrance had a towing warning sign, and the other entrance did not. None of the spots had any warning signs either. I parked here for 10 mins to run in and out of bank. Since after all, this is my banks parking lot. Within the 10 minutes, my car was towed. The towing companies reasoning was "no overnight parking", which is invalid being that I was only parked there for 10 minutes max. As mentioned, this company had no visible signs that is was a tow away zone.

My fiance's car was towed by All Ways Towing & Storage (AWTS) on Friday morning, Aug. 23, 2024. The vehicle is owned by Complainant, who lives in **********, **, but is driven by her mother in the ***** area, who is listed as an additional driver on the vehicle's insurance. AWTS communicated to Complainant on Friday evening that they needed a notarized statement providing that ***** is authorized to pick up the vehicle from storage. Complainant's mother went to AWTS on Saturday, Aug. 24th, with the notarized statement and AWTS refused to release the vehicle to her. **** said the PA notarization was insufficient. Ultimately, **** did release the vehicle on Monday, Aug. 26th, however, they billed Complainant's mother $568.60 and required her to pay in cash. The bill included storage fees for 4 days, despite their refusal to release the car on the 24th pursuant to 715.07(2)(a)9, a dolly fee of $25, despite it being a private tow and no dolly fee being allowed under ****** of Miami Dade County's Code of Ordinances, and $288.20 in administration fees, again in excess of the maximum allowable admin fees.

On 7/16/24 My car was towed from my son's apartment complex, as he had expired plates and was out of town. He didn't know his car was told until he returned on 7/21/24. The next morning we went to go retrieve the car and was told by a lady working the window of the company that the amount was around $450.00. We still needed to go get the registration so we told her we would do that and return. We returned and there was a different employee now working the window. He will not give me his name. As I was prepared to pay the amount the lady told us earlier in the day, he told me or now it has accumulated a $250 lien holder research fee. He then rattled off some Florida status to explain this fee. I needed the car, so I paid the whole amount of $678.89. The next days I started to do some researching myself. I called the company and ask them how can they charge me for a research fee that you said was just started. The employee explained because the it was already done. I asked him when did the notice get sent to me, he said on the 23rd. I told him, well we picked the care up on the 22nd. He says there's not way of telling that to the department who does the research. By the way, I still haven't received the certified letter they are required by law to send. Upon more research of my own, I realize Florida has a government website for you to put in a vehicle vin and it will tell you the owner and if there is a lien holder. ******* also requires that research fees be done at towing company's exact cost. Also Florida requires towing company provide a step by step detailed account of the research done to find the lien holder. It is my belief that no such search occurred and if it did it was after I picked up my vehicle. I would like this money back.

The semi truck was parked as one unit connected to the trailer so they disconnected from the trailer to charge me double which nobody does that in practice, that happens only whe the vehicle is wrecked and they have to do it separate that's why I have 2 blls which is totally insane, another thing is they charged me 2730$ for labor which is 3h at 900$ an hour for a job that takes 30min to hook up the vehicle. Another thing is when a called to get the vehicle back they wanted cash only which a feeled like paying a ****** not a towing fee and it was a Sunday so I couldn't get the cash and next day the bill went up from 3700$ on 5/5/2024 to 3973$ on 5/6/2024 when I picked up the equipment

Illegal and predatory towing. Towed a mobile home without warning while there were two live pets inside. Police was not contacted by towing company nor was animal control.

4/14/2024 4 am incident occur I was at an event keeping at Karu night club at ***************************** and we were advised we could park at any section without a tow away sign. I have parked there numerous of time and never towed. The business was closed and no sign posted. They didnt ask the police officers at the event that the patrons need to move their car if thats the case. There were ********** officers at the event that didnt even know the cars were being towed. As I went to the towing company the manager was rude, he cussed me out and called us names. He couldnt get the card machine working so he told us if we have to use our cards we cant get our car and he will charge us a fee. We were all ladies and I was afraid and these men told us they towed our cars because they were already towing the side next door and it had a towing sign so maybe a sign was there but not here now. How can that be fair. The police said in order to make a report I had to go back to the event and I had no car. I paid ******. They even told me they not moving my car so they made me walk into there dark yard to find my car and they parked it so bad. I asked them to move it out for me they told me they not doing s*** I have never been talked to like this. I called the business they didnt authorize any tow and told us as long the cars wasnt in the back of the business where in fact they have a sign they not sure why we got towed. I sent a picture of manager who told me he can do what he wants and he told yes there was no sign but our cars already towed so we just have to pay for it or leave.

On December 6, 2023, my vehicle was Illegally towed by this company, from my driveway not only did they towed my vehicle illegally they broke into my vehicle. causing the shifter bushing to be damaged.I have a valid plate and a permit from the association to park at my residence. when they realized they made a mistake they brought my vehicle back at a later time, I called 911 to report the incident. and tried to resolve the issue with the towing company directly with no success.they simply denied the whole thing with arrogance. they even hung up the phone on me when I tried to complaint a few times about it, they even called me a liar. this people are so arrogant and don't treat people with respect. But little did they know that I had the whole thing caught on surveillance video. the person who answered the phone told me they don't go into people's cars. which is a lie and that every towing truck is equipped with cameras. A few days later my neighbor's car has also been towed and a police officer was at the scene, I told the police officer what had happened a few days ago with my vehicle and showed him the video. the police officer proceeded to call the so call (supervisor) who spoked very little English.and he had the audacity to tell the police officer that my vehicle was towed a few nights ago because it was illegally park and that he had proof. well, he was never able to show the picture with my vehicle illegally park because It never was. in fact, the police officer told him I just saw a video were he was never illegally park, and you just towed this man's vehicle from his driveway. I was told by the so call night supervisor to contact the association to get things resolved, the lady at the association called the owner of the towing company who promise everything will be resolved and just to get in touch with *******. who conveniently told me I need to go to see him from Monday to Friday from 2-5PM just when everyone is working.
