    I purchased a engine cover for my 2002 Ford Thunderbird from this company. When it arrived there were no instructions. In the paper work it stated that there were no printed instructions at this time. I called the help line number. They told me that I would have to bend it to make it fit. Upon looking at it even before trying to bend it I could not fit my engine. After some back and forth with them I sent it back. I then received an email saying that they could not accept my return because it was bent and scratched. The picture they emailed was not what it looked like when it left here. It cost me $50 to return it plus the $350 to purchase it. I have not got anything back from them. Either a useless part or my money. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    These people are not very customer friendly. I ordered a custom engine cover for my 2002 Ford Thunderbird from them. When it arrived it came with no instructions at all. After trying to install it on my car it was obvious that it would not work on my engine. I called there company for some information. I was told that I had to bend it to make it work. I did not try to bend it because it was definitely not the right one. Now they tell me that it will not fit my engine and they will not except it as a return because I removed the blue plastic. What a rip off!!! Now I am stuck with a $360 piece that is useless to me!!

    American Car Craft is a company that custom fabricates stainless steel dress-up accessories for American muscle cars. We sell a large variety of parts the require hand forming before install. In this instance, the part needed this forming and the customer was unwilling to attempt. He was expecting a plug-and-play item. We have been selling these items for years and have had countless customers more than satisfied! As we consistently strive for customer satisfaction sometimes this is not always possible if the customer is not willing to attempt an install. This item may have been better off being professionally installed at a local body shop. In the time the customer had the item he removed the tape and therefore rendered it useless for a return. In the end, we still issued the customer a return authorization number and were willing to take the item back if the customer sent it back. The item was never returned.

    Yes they did say I could return it, then sent me an email that stated they would not refund my money because I removed the outer wrapping on the part. As to it not fitting my car which they finally agreed to, there sales department should have never accepted my order. My car is a 2002 and they say that the part only fits from 2003 to 2005 so why did they not reject my order in the first place!!!

    This order was placed online by the customer and he never contacted our store to ensure fitment beforehand. The customer never said a thing about his year vehicle until the message above. The item in question has been sold for years and we know it fits the years it is rated for. This item also comes with written instructions that clearly say the year fitment on the top of the page. At that point, the customer should have called us before attempting an install. Even after the install was made we attempted to help the customer, We did in fact issue a return authorization number. The customer never sent the product back to us for a credit! This leads us to assume he destroyed the item and doesn't want to ship it back to us. We always do our best to be there for every customer before, during, and after a purchase. In this case, the customer seems like he got frustrated and in turn, only is hurting himself.
