1 starThis has been the worst experience I have ever had. We were pressured into financing a vacation rental package. That experience was worse than purchasing a used car. Management kept coming back with a lower price down and lower monthly payment. When I asked how they are able to get it down so low from where they started. I was told that we were getting an unused package that someone sold back to them. We were told we could do the same thing. SELL ANYTHING WE DO NOT USE BACK TO THEM! The selling point was that we could sell it back to them whenever we wanted. Fast forward a few years. We have never used any of their services. I paid for a several years. I was at a place where I was like were never going to use this. Let's just sell it back to them. I wanted to sell all of our unused portion back to them. I was told someone would get back to me. That never happened. Finally, I was really done and ready to sell back the unused packaged. I did not ask for a refund. I was willing to take the loss of the few thousand dollars I already paid. I just wanted out. One of the managers told me, oh you can't sell back now. That was a covid thing, and all of the funds we had to purchase back packages from covid are all used up. So apparently, they won't buy back their unused packages even though that was the selling point. Never during our negotiations did anyone tell us that it was a covid "special". This company is the worst kind of company for sales, if a company can't honor what a salesperson and management offer to people then maybe they should train them better. Ultimately, they are a representation of that company, and the company should be held liable for it. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. We have been in contact with several managers and other reps. *** they want is to resign another deal and still continue lie to get the sale.Review fromBrittany S

1 starFirstly beware before buying into Arcadia resorts! I wish my husband and I would have looked at this before spending any money with them and buying into the “not a timeshare” timeshare, clearly this company has 6 pages of complaints plus some on here. They have all these high sales sales people in the hotel where we go in to “not have to buy anything” but basically coerced in to buying anyways. Once we finally bought it years ago we have tried to use it for vacations, book hotels and have never had any luck, after weeks of talking with someone trying to find a vacation to Florida we just gave up because they didn’t have anything available unless it was where they pick! That don’t make any sense, so we want to go to Florida keys but all they have is Orlando and Orlando is only available when we just can’t logically go with two school age kids and infant, even though that was not in the sales pitch because if it was we would have ran. These people sell you a golden turd and make it look like a nugget. I think the best option at this point after reading all these complaints is WE THE PEOPLE take it into our hands and file a lawsuit all together, because they claim they don’t refund and your basically stuck into this monthly payment with no hope of ever being able to use it, it’s a scam and these people need to be held accountable and whoever scam artist started the whole Lurking Lawless Con needs to be sued for all of our money back.

1 starBeware of Acadia Travel Services: Misleading Promises and Hidden Fees I recently had a disappointing experience with Acadia Travel Services. They lured me in with the promise of free airline tickets and a two-night hotel stay in exchange for attending a 90-minute presentation. However, after enduring the lengthy presentation, I discovered that the so-called "free" gifts came with hidden fees that amounted to about three-quarters of the full price if I had booked the trip myself. It's frustrating and disheartening to be misled in this way. Instead of being upfront about offering discounted travel packages, Acadia Travel Services chose to deceive potential customers with false promises of free gifts. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable and leaves a bad taste in the mouth of anyone who falls for their tactics. I strongly advise anyone considering Acadia Travel Services to be cautious and thoroughly investigate their offers before committing to anything. Don't be fooled by their enticing promises—there are likely better, more transparent options out there for your travel needs.Review fromLarry H

1 starWe had a paid voucher from Arcadia Resorts for a hotel 2 day stay at Harborside Resort in Indian Rocks Beach. Unfortunately, the date of our stay was the same day hurricane Milton arrived and everything was canceled because of the storm, understandable. The main reason we chose Harborside is because of the water park. Well, the water park lost a couple of pumps that had to be ordered and will be shut down for some time. OK, we can live with that. So, I wrote Arcadia asking for a couple of days in May of 2025 when the weather is warmer. Arcadia said that they were sorry but our voucher runs out next month and they are not extending vouchers. So, here is the thing too. It is very difficult to get a reservation through Arcadia because they won’t give us dates to choose from, we have to tell them what we want. Then Arcadia contacts the hotel to see if they are available. If not, we start the process all over again. This process can take maybe a couple of weeks. Apparently as well, the hotel will only take so many vouchers. So this long story short, I’m out $100 (what I paid for the voucher) because Arcadia wont extend my voucher till nicer weather.

1 starMy girl and I participated in a sales presentation for a vacation club ( not a time share) .In the end the Gold level membership was 20 weeks of vacation for 60k at ***** percent interest. The silver level was 10 weeks of vacation 40k at ***** percent interest.I balked at both of those because I am kinda opposed to interest that high on discretionary spending I may do years in advance.They eventually pitched a 4 week vacation plan at ***** percent interest for something like 12k.They kept telling me an average vacation at the places they were pitching was like $4300 a week.Maybe it is just me but I am a shopper and I can find good deals. Honestly the hotel travel industry is on its knees if you look into it and cash ******** for 90 minutes of my time, 50 dollars of my money I was supposed to get a 3 day 2 night stay at Harbourside in ******************, ********They had me pick two prefererd times to stay which I did. Mid October which is dead season for anything along Florida's beaches. I have not heard back from them. Doubt I will. They were kinda angry that I did not sign up.This was the first time share / vacation club presentation I have sat for in 30 ******** is just a scammy as I Remember it. I am fine with planning and paying for my own vacations.They will say it saves you money. I say if you have so much money you do not need to finance it and your too lazy to shop maybe that is true.I am not lazy and I can not afford to not shop.I can book a a deal at ********** cheaper than they say it will cost right now. So for me I would not waste my time to sit through their presentation. The internet is full of stories of people trying to unload these things for a reason.Review fromTERRANCE J

What ever you do DO NOT attend Arcadia Resort seminars promising a 3 day 2 night FREE stay anywhere in the U.S includes airfare. This company Arcadia Resorts and the package they are selling is up to $8000.00 charged to your C.C. or option to be privately financed by them. The free trip is far from free and just to activate the voucher cost $50.00 add taxes, fees, etc is over $400. airports and 26 destinations are not disclosed until after you pay the $50.00 A COMPLETE RIPOFF!!! BEWARE dont waste the 2 & 1/2 hours of your time like we did!Arcadia Resorts, LLC

1 starOn 06/14/24 we arrived at 10:35 am for a 10:45 am presentation. A couple days before, we received a phone call verifying our attendance and informing us that the presentation was 45 minutes. She also informed us of the two gifts given at no charge or obligation if we were interested or not. We did go, which showed our interest. We arrived at the ******* Resort in Largo and checked in. At that time we were informed that it would take 90 minutes. Timing was very important due to obligations that day. What I want to point out is the time had doubled from the initial contact. Although, 45 minutes extra would makes us late for another appointmennt, we decided to stay since we were already there. At this time the “bait and switch”/honesty issues now became suspect. Approximately, at 11:00 a.m. a junior salesman introduced himself and welcomed us and proceeded with his warm-up “chit chat”. He informed us “in about 15 minutes we will go into another room and listen to the presentation given by *****. Since time was a factor, we asked him how long the presentation was. We were floored when he said “120 minutes”. The 120 minutes has now increased our commitment to an extra 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our next appointment now was taken away from us if we were to stay. The salesman then asked if we were still interested. Our answer was yes, but no due to the misleading information of attendance time. When we got up to leave the salesman asked us to wait a minute so a manager could speak to us about the gifts. ***** proceeded to convince me to stay. When he realized we were not staying he shook my hand and said “thank you for coming”. *******, you are a misleading, “bait and switch” company aware of your sales tactics. The gifts offered is the bait. The pitch “you will receive one or two gifts if your interested or not, no obligations”. You are accountable for your invitation and offerings.
