My husband & I are trying to consolidate all of our investments since we are older & in need of just a local bank/investor. It has been 3 months since we have tried to close our accounts with Everbank & they still won't transfer our money. We fill out their forms & our bank faxes them back immediately. We call with our investor there, we take notes, name of person we talk to & all we get is the runaround. When ********* split, it really went down hill in service. I don't trust them & I'm still waiting.

EverBank is not a real bank. They have fraudulent business practices. I recently broke my phone and got a new phone. I also changed my number around the same time. I wanted to transfer money into my savings at Everbank and realized I had to call and update my number on order to log in. What should have been an easy processed ended up bring a nightmare. I was told a form has to be completed to change my number but they can't mail it! What? They can only email it but I don't have a printer. I was told to go to a library but I live in the country! No mear by libraries and I'm disabled! The Sr rep, Jennifer in the Jacksonbille call center was extremly rude and not helpful. I tried to just close the account and keep all my money at my primary back and they refused that too. I wasn't allowed to speak to a supervisor and I have no way to get my money out of Everbank. I will be filing a cfpb claim next.

I have had an excellent experience with Everbank. i did a lot of research on virtual banks. It seems like everyone hates their bank. Everbank customer service, account initiation and online tools have been excellent.

I've been a loyal customer of everbank (tiaa) for over 14 years. Suddenly they withheld my s.s.d.i. payment (direct deposit) claiming there was fraudulent activities. Living on a fixed income is very difficult and I depend on that payment each month. They never informed me of any changes until I called and they told me there is nothing I can do except wait until they resolve the issue. So far I've been unable to pay my bills and they have cost me a pile of money in late fees. Now I have to wait till Monday until I can speak with them again to fix the problem. I'm at the end of my rope with these people. I just want everyone to know that they made HUUUUGE mistake and I'm paying for it. It's going to be a huuuge hassle for me now to reconcile all my late fees and switch banks. Any help would b greatly appreciated. Thank you. I see now that Everbank IS NOT an approved BBB bank. I understand why now. Their technique is obvious that they take our money and use it for their profits by investing each check and then float it so they can profit even more. Now I'm stuck with over 200$ in late fees and hurt my credit. I sincerely hope that this bank goes down and closes for the sake of decency. What a horrible bank. Was just fine for a bit as I'm very understanding and tolerant of human errors, but these people have absolutely caused me irreparable damage. STAY AWAY from this bank. If not?you will find out soon enough that their business practices are incredibly poor. You've been warned

I agree. No stars. *************. I opened a CD with them because they were with TIAA, which was a reputable institution. When I closed the account, they sent me a check that never came. After waiting for two weeks, I called and was told it was lost in the mail and they would place a stop payment, re-issue the check. They also promised to send me via ****** but that also never came. Its been now a month since I closed the account and I dont have my money. Avoid this bank at all cost.

Each time you make **** payment, the bank will hold $25 from your available balance for 2 weeks. Worst case scenario, if the **** payment did not go through and you tried the **** payment again, they would hold another $25 from your available balance. I dont recommend this bank.

I don't want to give this bank ANY stars. Everytime I used my card they doubled the amount as a **** authorization ..blamed it on **** and kept the authorization money for 10 days AFTER the transaction cleared. Example...you go to ********** for a double cheese burger..used your card. They would charge you 2 separate transactions for the same amount. ********** clears the account..they still hold the authorization charge 10 more days.

We are a small nonprofit whose employees are 100% remote. We have had nothing but problems with our EverBank business debit cards. They are constantly declining purchases and will not speak with our employees who have a card in their name. We will be dropping EverBank as soon as we are able!

Have been a customer with ********************** for a minimum of 8 years. Did a few **outgoing** ACH transfers during 10/2024, all within the daily allowed $ limits etc. Then all of a sudden they locked my account for vague "investigation" "security reasons". I am allowed to do **inbound** ACH but not **outbound**. They are completely unclear what the issue is and how long it will take to resolve. Asked them to CLOSE my account and just WIRE me all the funds. They are refusing to do that as well. They should have no doubt that they have permanently lost me as a customer. I don't think you can trust them unless you can spare thousand of dollars becoming inaccessible without explanation and without resolution timeframe. Don't know what their problem is, nor care to know. I just know that this has never happened to me before in the last 25 years that I have been doing online banking.

Froze my savings account after 5 months without any problems, for no reason whatsoever. Could not login, email to unlock did not work. Called customer service, wasted half hour. They finally told me that there was "suspicious activity", but no detail. Said they could call me back in 48 business hours, and that unlocking decision was up to reviewer. Really? This is my money, you are talking to me, there is no recent activity in the account, and that is the best you can do? I managed to transfer my remaining balance to my brokerage so my balance is now $0. I will not trust them with my money again. High rates do not mean much if your account is randomly and inexplicably locked.
