Everbank has not refunded my CD principal and interest. My CD completed October 25, 2024. I immediately notified Everbank to mail my money and interest to me in **. On October 29, 2024 they sent a letter acknowledging the closed CD but did not put a check in the envelope. I have called them several times and am still waiting to be reimbursed. They claim to have stopped payment of their check and will wire the funds to my bank. I have sent them my bank wire information with their required wire document. I called again to verify they received the Everbank wire document and they said it was not appearing in their system yet. They then gave me a bank email address to send the wire doc. to them. Again I sent the wire doc. Also, I resent the Everbank wire doc a second time using their website using my customer login under communication upload documents. They now indicate that my funds will be wired to my bank on Monday November 18, 2024. I have found this bank to be very deceptive. Constantly providing excuses not to return your money after requesting a refund. I have lost all confidence in the reliability and honesty of Everbank.

Everbank could not provide any proof that they had mailed me a CD payment check. They said they mailed a $130,262.00 check via regular mail without any tracking. They initially said a check was mailed on October 29, 2024. However, to hey mailed a CD cancellation letter without any check in the envelope. Then, after I waited more than ten days, to hey said if I wanted a wired payment I would have to wait another 3 business days till Monday November 18, 2024. This bank has a history of delaying refunds to customers. They find a way to delay payment. If I had requested a mail payment they could have repeated the same scam, check lost in the mail. The of course do not pay any interest on your money during the delay. This is a scenario that they have repeated. See the list of complaints attached. There are about 245 customer complaints. It would be best that the ******** ******* ****** ** ******** ***** start an investigation both state and federal. Also, **** should investigate. Both agencies should step in ho protect the customers of this bank. In my opinion.

Most unprofessional bank. I switched over from a different bank thinking they would be good. 1st week they put my account under review because the old bank I had, I closed it and I forgot that I was putting an initial deposit into my everbank account. All because my deposit to everbank was sent back. They want you to wait 2-3 days while the lazy back office gets back to you. And theres no number to contact directly. No wonder this business is failing. What a way to make an impression with new customers. Definitely will be closing my account. On top of that I have a deposit coming and they want to play around with people's accounts.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I already am aware I did  a wire transfer along with the other things. A sorry isn't enough for lack of professionalism. I still never got a reason for why my account closed. I should not be in a financial hardship because I had to wait 2 weeks to get my paycheck.

Yes I see that but all that went to bills which left $0. I had my paycheck that was supposed to get me ahead that was supposed to hit Sept 1st and that did not, funds were returned to my employer. That 2,000 I got only covered my end of month bills. Since I didn't receive my paycheck until the 15th because of this **, it caused credit cards to default while incurring late fees. Creditors don't care about "excuses". And you guys sure weren't going to call them to tell them why someone's account was locked for an absurd reason. If you guys didn't wait 4 or 5 days. I could of probably switched my payroll bank to get my check. You guys failed to provide a reason to me when I called.

The renewal date of my CD is 07/23/24 (the original rate is 5.50 APY). On the day, I checked online, which stated that the CD will be renewed at the rate of 5.35 APY. However, when I received the renewal notice then sent on August 6, which has passed their grace period, the rate was stated as 5.05 APY, not 5.35 as stated online on the date of 07/23/24. Now I need to pay the fee of about $38 to early terminate the CD. I requested the early termination without the fee as they did not keep the rate as promised on the renewal date.

I had a loan with no interest rate for as long as the loan for a new AC Unit. Unique AC company use them for their customers. Although they had no monthly interest rates for this loan any late fees accumulated will not be waived. I was out of work for a full year in **** and FL unemployment was under *** biweekly! I explained this to the company and they still expect the bill to be paid monthly, no deferred payment or waivers. This loan is fully paid off and at maturity date, double payments! Now I am left with ***** in late fees and *** days delinquent on my credit from Everbank! No negotiation no compromise until today! One time offer to pay $*** today and they are will to close the deal! Wow! If I truly had it I would but this is not possible right now! The other option was to make **** monthly payments to pay it off! Higher from the original loan payments! This company is all about money making from customers and never working with customers to make sure they get their money! I remember one rep told me to borrow the money from someone else to pay them while I’m at my low of being without work and income! This company is not a people company and strictly about getting paid! Like a loan shark! I need this nightmare to go aware and my creat is shot because of them!!! *** days reported like who does that to somebody credit know that what America live by! Credit Score!

In early June 2023 I opened a savings account with EverBank (then TIAA), expecting a smooth and transparent banking relationship. However, After just a couple of days I was unable to log in online, and a couple of weeks later, I received notification that my savings account had been closed without any explanation or prior notice. This abrupt action on EverBank's part left me perplexed and concerned about the status of my funds that were already transferred to EverBank. Upon discovering the closure, I promptly contacted EverBank customer service to seek clarification and resolution. To my dismay, the customer service representative informed me that my account had indeed been closed and that I would receive the remaining balance by check. Regrettably, as of today's date, I have yet to receive any such check or further communication from EverBank regarding the status of my funds. The bank still owes me money at the amount of $200 + interest. Over the past five months, I have made numerous attempts to address and resolve this matter by reaching out to EverBank through phone calls and emails. Unfortunately, despite my persistent efforts—approximately a dozen calls—the issue remains unresolved, and I continue to face a lack of clarity and assistance from EverBank. I have tried any conceivable way to get my funds back, but no luck. Every time I call their helpline, I am either told "you will receive a check in 3-5 days" or "We will call you back" but nothing happens. This prolonged and frustrating experience has not only caused me financial inconvenience but has also resulted in significant emotional distress. I kindly request the Better Business Bureau's intervention in facilitating a resolution to this matter. I seek your assistance in ensuring that EverBank addresses this issue promptly and returns my funds.

I opened an online savings account at EverBank in November 2023. I received email confirmation my account was open. However, anytime I tried to login, I received a systems error. I called EverBank 5 times over 5 different days. Each time I called, I received a different answer of why I can't log in. Everything from online accounts don't have access to web logins, to my phone number is not valid(I've had this phone for over 10 years...), to its an IT issue on their end, to don't worry about. An online bank should allow customers to login. Everbank will not give me access to my online account. I've asked them to close my account and remove my Personal Information from their systems, they said they are not sure how to do that.

I have been in constant contact with TIAA since 9/6/2023. This agency is purposely withholding my funds from ***. I was terminated on 9/5/2023. Why *** told TIAA 10/5/2023, I don't know and don't care. Each and every time I had called TIAA, they tell different stories and that they can't connect me to the last person I had spoken to. TIAA had demanded that I upload personal documents such as my *** ** ***** ***** ***********, and I even uploaded my Severance of Employment Certificate from ***. TIAA told me that once they had received these documents, it should take 24 to 48 hours to place the money into my account. This was in my mid-September, and on yesterday October 10, 2023, I uploaded my documents as well, still NO MONEY has been placed into my account. TIAA has informed me that they reached out to ***, now *** said it's **** who is the administrator. I am very sick and tired of having to go through red-tape for my money. I can prove it is my money when I log into the TIAA's website; the account is still open and TIAA did not close the account. They will not give me my money. I spoke to a *******, ******, and on 10/10/23, a ****** *******.

I opened an account with TIAA/Everbank, deposited money into both a checking and savings account, my debit card was activated and I really was not doing anything with the accounts, mostly just using for savinings, well without me knowing they locked the accounts, I have tried to get my money out by way of transfer, wire transfer and *****, but nothing, I have left numerous messages, emails and spole to people who say someone will call me, but been over a week and nothing. I want my money out of this horrible messy bank and an explanation as to why there has been no attempt at communication
