I’m April 2022, I had a fence put up by them and it took for me to threaten them of a refund before they actually came out. They came out and did the fence but when finished I informed them they left 2 feet of yard out. One of my post pulls straight out the ground. It’s not secured with cement. One the the screws is hanging out. He sent a worker who came out documented everything said they’ll call me with a date when they’ll be back and neither did they come back or correct any issues and I paid 4800 dollars for the job.Initial Complaint

I first contacted the company in February to inquire about having a fence installed at my home. One of the workers came out to measure my property and give an estimate. After accepting the estimate and scheduling the installation date, I paid a deposit of $5,000. The installation was scheduled for mid-March. The week we were scheduled, I called to confirm the time and was told that they were not coming. I was told that they were behind due to the rainy season — understandable. Since then it has been a non-stop battle. Any time we are lucky enough to actually speak to someone on the phone, we are told that we’re the next job on their list (for THREE MONTHS). They would not directly answer the question when asked if they have the inventory to install our fence or when we can expect them to complete the installation. After being extremely understanding and patient throughout this process, we discovered their phone was being turned off due to the owner losing their business property. We immediately began to feel that we were being scammed out of our money. We were not notified of any updates or changes to the status of our fence installation. Due to these circumstances, we are no longer comfortable with this company installing our fence. Upon asking for our money back, we were told that they don’t have it (or the product to install) and have put up everything for sale. The owner has now stopped responding to our calls and text messages regarding our money or fence, and does not take the initiative to contact us and resolve this issue. I have lost all trust and faith in the owner and this business. It feels like they had no intention of ever installing our fence. The owner has been absolutely horrible at communicating and has strung us along for months. We’ve been understanding and patient, but are now extremely frustrated and upset with our money being lost to someone without the decency to answer their phone or take initiative to contact us.Initial Complaint

Initial Contact Date: 10-26-2022 Amount Paid to Father and Sons Fence Company: $3350.00 on April 18th 2022 Father and Sons Fence Company "Committed" to provide a 6ft (white)Vinyl Fence Set, complete with two gates facing the road, on the north and south ends of the property and surrounding the outer perimeter of the property. The nature of the dispute is: no services were rendered at all, to the residence. (no show), no money returned to us for work forfeiture. The Owners of the company, have not tried to resolve the problem, instead, the business number was disconnected and the company is totally dissolved. The written Proposal is in our possession, with pricing and the 50% down payment (deposit) distributed By me.Initial Complaint

father and son fencing company installed Privacy fence on my personal property On January 12 2022. I notice a week later They installed the incorrect size of fence I ordered 6 in boards on a 6x8 fence panels They installed 4 in boards on 6 x8 panels I called and spoke with the son of the company * **** * He stated he would come by my home look at installed product but never showed up So I went to the company located on 103rd st and spoke with the father on 3 different occasions about my fence he acknowledged the issue show me the correct fence but every time I went there he said he would take care of it. I even ask for a refund if they couldn't do the work correctly He stalled me again now it's may 31,2022 I would like fence installed asap or a full refund Respectfully Anthony McCrayInitial Complaint

I accepted a quote from this company for a new fence. I paid $2350 deposit. On the date of the install no one showed up to my home. I called the company they said they would be there tomorrow. The next day, no one showed up again. The company said some of their crews didn’t show up for work. The next day was promised again and again and again. After 3 weeks, I told the owner that I didn’t want a “maybe” date, I wanted a definite date that it would be done. He told me he would definitely be there that Thursday. Thursday came and no one showed up, no call. I called their office again and got another excuse and was told they would be there Friday. Same story different day. No one showed up. They said they couldnt get anyone to work on the weekend but they would be here Monday. Monday came and this time they called. However, it was only to say their employees got drunk on Sunday and were too hung over to work. This brings us today. I agains received no call. I tried calling them back and no one would return my call. At the end of the day, I received a text saying that they would call their supplier and get money back from them for my materials and cancel my job. After waiting over a month of empty promises, this company gets away with stringing their customers along with broken promise after promise to just cancel the job. Now I have to find another company who will most likely not have availability for a few weeks. So that puts me back two months from when I was originally promised this install. I honestly have never dealt with a company who makes excuse after excuse to not complete the work specified in our contract. I feel like I have been scammed. I have not received my deposit back. However, the owner(Glen) says he will return it when he gets his money back from his supplier. I don’t trust this type of promise. Especially, after the treatment I’ve already been through. I have been courteous and patient through this whole debacle. This is very stressful.Initial Complaint

Hired to install a small section of fence and two gates. Showed up first week of March, 2022 to install. Had wrong parts. Luckily I had spare 6x6 they could use. Multiple issues discovered the day after they finished and I paid. 1. Pivot hinge installed upside down. Gate could barely be opened the next day and fell of hinge completely within a few weeks. 2. Hinge side post was not dug deep enough. Sits about 1 foot higher than rest. Said they would cut it off to match but did not. 3. Latch was installed to gate with lag screws that stick through fence panel over an inch with pointed sharp edge out - definitely a hazard. 4. Left old fence materials on job site after committing to remove. 5. Called for over a month to get back out. Finally showed up last week. Worker had attitude. Accused me of breaking. Said he had spare parts of a wheel to install to help. I okayed. 30 minutes later came to tell me the U-Bolt was not long enough and he needed to gouge out hole in front of fence panel to make it work. I told him to get correct part. He then argued that it was ordered for my job and was the correct part (part was clearly years old with rust on it). I kicked off job. Sales man said they would fix Saturday. No-showed. Didn't respond to text. Horrible communication, workmanship, and followup. Clearly to not care.Initial Complaint

Oct.2020 we purchased a black chain link fence, with 5ft. slats. They installed 6ft ones and hand cut them with a pair of scissors. They came out crooked and not lined up evenly. One side of the fence is also bowed out. They also forgot a couple of the caps which go on the posts. I have been calling them since Oct2020. Glen is the owner and always has many excuses why they haven't been able to get to me. He told me at the beginning that he will replace all the slats with the 5ft that we ordered. He always says that he is still waiting for them to come in.Business response

When we got done and she walked the fence was fine. I told here when we get 5 ft slats in I would come back, they not making 5ft slats now because of the pandamic but will make some when they have a full work force.Customer response
