1 starI bought my current house paid off and shouldve received the title to my house but after asking several times where is the title? I am not getting a direct response other than its the seller who is not fixing the problem it had been 5 months now to get the issues fixed and sent the title. Im at the end of my rope thinking of the next step I need to do to make sure I have the title in my hands because of so many stories of houses sold to someone but comes to find out that the house was not meant to be sold. Its was a stressful process for my family and my real estate agent working with them.Review fromMark C

1 starChange title companies as quick as you can. Sadly we had to use them because the seller wouldn't accept a deal without them and this was their rental property. Sad to see a company that does not care about how they perform for their clients. They did not respond to our emails or calls and delayed our closing multiple times because of their inaction and ineptitude. They aren't going to change as I can see many other people ave had issues with them in the past, so they will say one thing and then change nothing. **************Review fromSheena W

Absolute trash!!!!!!! I wish that I could give them negative stars. Im selling my house to a company that rents homes out, and they insisted on using Selene as the title company. Selene refuses to answer calls from my realtor, and insists on adding fees to me that the buyer is supposed to pay! I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Im not signing anything until they get it right! If they cant be honest and get the little things right, what makes me believe that theyll fund my account correctly? Ive never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. This company is one big red flag.Selene Title LLC

I understand your frustration was compounded with the delay in your wired proceeds, and we are extremely sorry for that delay. Unfortunately, your transaction came at an unexpectedly busy time in which we were short-staffed and our escrow officers had an extremely heavy workload. That is no excuse for poor communication, however. Once we realized you were unhappy with your escrow officer, our Vice President of Operations took over communications with your agent and made every attempt to ease the concerns. We are sorry to hear that her explanations and reassurances were not enough to gain your confidence in us. Please accept our apology for your negative experience. They sent me a refund check for over payment of my property taxes 6 months after my closing, and the check bounced. it is impossible to get in touch with them to get a replacement check. no phone number on the website only email address that they do not answer. When we discovered the error, we should have contacted you to let you know of the error and that the check would be voided. Selene title failed to send the payoff to our mortgage company after closing. We closed May 16 on my home of 10 years, July 5 we received a call from our mortgage company attempting to collect a debt for **** and July payments. I informed them we sold the home May 16 and the title company was responsible for any payment after that date. I reached out ti Selene Title immediately, they said they dropped the ball and look into it. They did pay the loan off the next day, but unfortunately, my credit report was dinged with no pays. Never was late on a payment in 10 years. I attempted to get in touch with them for a resolution to get my credit report corrected, dropped 132 points and they have yet to assist. I spoke to 2 different people over the phone, they seemed to thank it was funny, laughing casually as I was extremely frustrated. The Manager was out who was supposed to be able to provide a solution so they gave me her contact info and email. Auto reply that day she was out. The following week I reached back as I heard nothing back, then I sent another email requesting an update. Few hours later she called and said they dropped the ball not sure how this happened and she would draw up the letter and send to me and the credit bureaus. Days go by again, no updates, no letter, by this time my previous mortgage company already reached out to the credit bureaus and informed me they have it straightened out. Selene Title Kept passing the buck, no accountability, couldnt imagine a worse scenario. I have never left a review before, but one star is too many for this company. Garbage, incompetent, no empathy, hope they get better for other customers or they go out of business.Selene Title LLC

As the seller, we worked with both the ******* ** and ******* offices. We were concerned after reading some of the negative reviews. There was no need for concern as our transaction went very well. Ours was a little more complicated as we closed remotely from *******. Even though there was a minor issue with one document during closing, Selene Title was very responsive, we closed on schedule without any issues and funding was prompt. The whole process was very smooth and we would not hesitate to work with them in the future.Selene Title LLC

Working with this title company was not a great experience at all. We had 2 transactions with this company where we represented the seller. Communication was terrible. No one answered their phones. I could barely get confirmation that the mobile notary was going to show up until 3 minutes before the signing was scheduled. On top of that, they mailed our commission checks to the wrong address on the first transaction. We asked repeatedly for a tracking number that they could not provide. When they provided it, it was obvious that they had not even mailed the check out and they were telling us they did. When we attempted to be proactive and make sure they did not make the same mistake on the second transaction, they responded that they had the correct mailing address. A week after closing, we never received checks and when they finally responded to my email they said they did not have our address. It was almost comical. This company is not efficient, their customer service is not great, their attitude is less than friendly, they do not work as a team. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience. We sell over 130 homes a year, we work with tons of different title companies on each transaction and we would NEVER choose to work with this title company or recommend them to anyone.Selene Title LLC

Working with Selene Title has been the worse experience ever. They never returned calls, missed deadlines, we agreed to extend the contract date (that they missed) only to have them hold our fund hostage as they revised HUD papers we already singed in person during closing. Would never return calls ever for 45 days. Paperwork was wrong at closing. When we called to talk about it never answered. Then held back money when they found errors in their paperwork. Had fees added in that we should have NOT paid.Selene Title LLC
