Bought a vehicle from this dealership after being assured by the salesperson that the Van had been thoroughly inspected by their mechanic. I could list at least 9 issues with the Van that I had to fix immediately. 1) Check engine was on caused by a bad thermostat, replaced immediately. 2) Tires were horrible after salesperson told me they looked new. 3) Replaced headlight immediately due to full of moisture 4) TPMS light on, had to replace immediately. 5) Cruise control switch replaced immediately, did not work at all. 6) Replaced wiper switch immediately. did not work properly. 7) Had to replace both keys immediately, did not work properly. 8) Brakes and rotors replaced immediately, in horrible shape 9) Van would not start after 1 month had to replace relay bypass. I am sure I am missing something because this Van has been a nightmare.

On 12/14/23 I purchased a 2013 ***** Enclave, two days later after buying the car, it gave me a hot engine problem dying twice on me and I returned to the dealership, they promised to fix it and gave the car back to me stating that the engine problem was fixed by replacing a new alternator. Almost 3 days later the vehicle broke down and died on me again with the same hot engine problem and I had to return the car back to the dealership and ask multiple times for a refund and the cancellation of the purchasing contract, or for a vehicle exchange. The vehicle has been sitting at the dealership since 12/21/23 through out the holidays I was told and assured by the salesperson and manager that everything was going to be taken care of and they were going to fix the vehicle. IK & O had me waiting all this time not keeping their promises of taking care and fix the problem. At the same moment, I was hired by a logistics company and could not maintain employment due to transportation problems. I returned the vehicle on 12/21/23 since then I have been unable to find employment due to the lack of transportation. I have asked and begged the dealership to please return the money back and cancel the contract, but I have been ignored and they refuse to give me a refund and to cancel the contract. K & O Auto has kept the money, and the car for almost 2 months and I have been left with no employment, bills piling up, unable to get a job, and with a car loan of $9500. I have applied for legal aid services asking for help with this legal matter but I have not heard from anyone. . The transportation problem hinders my ability to get a job, pay my rent and bills for the current month. February 06, 2024 I am picking up the car after almost 2 months of sitting at the dealer. Nothing has been done. I need help bringing this business accountable for their false promises, lies, and bad deeds Thank you!

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Because I was promised and assurance that the Manager was going to help fix the problem once back from holidays. The dealer had me waiting for 20 days with false promises and after the long wait gave me a turnaround. I have records of text messages with the assurance of such promises and also how the manager lied about even reimburse me for the town truck services. This might take a while but I will keep filing complaints with the bureaus, local news, social media platforms and till I find a lawyer who can help me bring such businesses accountable for their bad deeds and wrong actions.

I am rejecting this response because:

The claims the dealership is making are untrue. Before I purchased the vehicle I was told the issue that I had with the vehicle would be resolved, I have text messages supporting my claim. Also I found out that the mileage on the vehicle had been rolled back to show lower miles.

I purchased a car on 07/26/23. The business is incredibly dishonest, and they are selling cars they know have significant issues. I asked about some damages I saw prior to purchasing, and they lied saying its a normal occurrence for a vehicle to have that type of damage as listed on the carfax report. Then, when I brought up the other issues I saw, I was ensured that these things were common with used cars, and that there were no more issues beyond what I brought up. This has been far from the case. There are now many things wrong with the car. I doubt it will hold up much longer. I suspect this business is temporarily fixing these issues in the hope that the cars they sell stay together just long enough to sign the contract.

I am rejecting this response because: Dishonest practices by the business has caused a significant burden to me that could escalate to legal action.  It is impossible to ignorantly sell a vehicle with the extensive number of problems that has occurred in the very short time after purchasing, which is particularly abnormal for a vehicle with ****** miles. ****** the business is not doing inspections of any sort and saying they do, or someone is getting paid to lie. Both are fraud that must be investigated.

My family purchased a 2014 Toyota Sienna from this dealership on Saturday, 6/3/23. We are having a very hard time getting our official title from the vehicle purchase and every time we reach out to them, we only get the response that "when we get it, we will mail it off to you". This is the longest we have ever had to wait to get the title for any vehicle purchase. Because of the delay, we had to get another temporary tag from the dealership and they did send that to us thankfully. Not sure what is going on, but this needs to be made a priority and not just put on the backburner again. We actually think it might have something to do with the fact that the salesman put the wrong address on our registration and did not feel like changing it when we told him as much. The address on the registration is an old address from when I was a Florida resident years ago. Lastly looking at our paperwork as well, there was something in the package that said "Georgia" department of revenue but we live in South Carolina. This entire transaction was rushed and messed up. We paid a lot of our hard earned money for this, and still have nothing to show for that we even own it. We are only 4 days away from our 2nd temporary tag expiring and still no title. ***** We would just like our title to show that we are the owners of the vehicle. Nothing more. *****

They pressured me into putting money down to hold a vehicle that I was unsure on stating that if I don't buy the car I would get my money back so when I decided I didn't want that car and went back to get my money they told me no and said sorry about your luck. I needed that money for my down payment on the vehicle I'm wanting to purchase but they won't return it. They basically scammed me.

A deposit for a car was kept after ** ***** placed a deposit to hold a car untill she could get there. After looking the car over she decided it did not meet her expectations that were described to her by the dealer so she said she was no longer interested in the car. They said that's fine but now refuse to g8ve her the $1000 deposit back. Oh and by the way, she's ** ***** ***. They took advantage of her. I'm been buying cars for 30 years and never had a dealer keep a deposit after the car didn't meet ** expectations. This dealer should be shut down.

My daughter sent K&O 1,000.00 to hold a car. When she got there, drove it, asked about the title, was told they aren’t kept here and are sent after verification of funds. After I spoke with ******, they changed their story and said the owner would go get the title. My daughter explained the situation we seemed very sketchy. We decided to stop the transaction. The owners stated he would not return our deposit. He called me a ***** ** **** and hung up on me. Very aggressive and made her feel very uncomfortable.

They are not telling you the true story

The costumer requested to have the title in hand at the time of purchase

It is against the FLORIDA law for a dealer to give the title in hand to costumer because the dealership has to processes the tag title registration and on top of everything it was a loan from Navy Federal credit Union that again we as dealership have to record the lien in order to get paid . The father of the girl over the phone did not wanted to understand and asked for the deposit back. We told them that the deposit has to be returned by company check not in cash so that way we have paper trail records that the right person received the deposit back

I informed the father that on March 11 will mail the check out to his address and asked him to provide the address which he was scared and only provided his work address

We mailed him the check and he received and cashed it out

We have all the necessary documents to support this claim

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: of facts.  The dealer simply isn’t being honest. Facts are backed up by texts from the salesman and manager, attached. I can attached the police report and tracking info of check to show dealer is still being dishonest.

On 3/7, a $1,000.00 cash app was sent to the dealer to hold the car. No paperwork was signed nor was there any type of contract. Mistake on my daughter’s part.

On 3/8, my daughter test drove the car, car was uncomfortable and clearly not a daily driver for her. She also had a hard time seeing over the dash as she is short. She was told that titles were not kept on site and they would send it in a few days.  This is where I got involved. After speaking to the salesman and several people in the background, they agreed to get the title and provide it to her. In the rebuttal, the dealer stated this was against Florida law to do this?  See attached text.  At this point, she did not feel comfortable and decided this deal was not for her.  She told the salesman this, and this is where he started to pressure her. She then told the manager she didn’t want the car, the blatantly said, “ then you will not get your deposit back.”  This is when I called and spoke to **** *** *** ****** They kept going on and on about the title, but we just wanted our money back. The owner stated, “**** **** *** ***** ** ***** you are never getting a Penney from me,” my daughter then called the police, they showed up, the dealer told me on the phone the police can do nothing, this is a civil matter. The police arrived and could do nothing.  My daughter left.

On 3/9 and 3/10, I protested in front of the dealer. Wonder why the manager stated I was a afraid since I was there protesting alone.  After 21 years in the Marine Corps, there are few things I am afraid of, let alone a corrupt car dealer.  Slander should be added to the complaint as well.

On 3/12 , I posted a video of what happened. I went viral I less than 12 hours.

On 3/13, I called and spoke with the manager, finally, only at this point we’re they ready to refund the deposit. Not because of due process, but only because of the video.  There were over 2.5 million viewers and many made reviews, comments and actually called the dealer. Many comments stated that the same thing happened to them.

I received the check on 3/15 and it cleared on 3/17.

On 3/16, the dealer decided to forward their phone number to my personal cell.

This was not about getting my daughter’s money back. It was to expose a company that blatantly withheld monies with no intention of returning it, until they were outed on the Internet. The facts cannot be disputed. I have tracking info of the check to show they are living about that as well.

      Regards,

      Rick Foyt

I purchased a used car on 12/28/2023. I signed all the papers and was to pickup the car on the 29th. There were a couple of issues that needed to be fixed. I was told that they would be taken care of and my car would be ready for tomorrow. When I arrived my car was in the same spot it was before I decided to purchase it. It was outside the fence, still had it for sale and it had not been made ready for me to take home. I had gotten a ride since I lived 100 miles away. When I realized the air conditioning and heat had not been fixed I asked ****** *****, the manager why not. He said he knew nothing about them not working. However, he's the one that told me the day before that it would be taken care of. My ride had already left so I had no choice but to take the car. Again I was promised it would be repaired on the 2nd of January, not to worry. I had explained to ** ***** that it is medically necessary that I have air conditioning. I would not purchase a vehicle that would be unhealthy for me. I was also leaving on a two week business trip to South Florida so it was very important that I have air conditioning. I called on Tuesday first thing in the morning but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone and there was no voice-mail set up. I sent text messages to *** ****** but it took a long time until he responded. Long story short there was no part in stock and it would need to be ordered. Of course the guy who orders parts is out with covid. Finally I was told that it would arrive the following Tuesday. Again I reminded Mr Martin that I would be out of town on a business trip. He suggested I just take a ride up that Tuesday and get it done. I've heard nothing further as to whether or not it even arrived. *** ****** lied to me several times. He said that I could definitely trust him. So far I regret buying this car because I can't afford to fix it myself. Also the one key that came with the car that also has the built in lock/unlock doesn't not work. *** ***** said that all it needed was a new battery. NowIt will cost me $300 to purchase another. Again, I can't afford to replace that key. I may be looking at $1,000 to get my car repaired and replace the key. I would never have purchased it. I would have gotten something else or gone somewhere else. I live on a fixed income and just started a small business so there is no money to spend on a car that was promised to be repaired and ready when I picked it up.
