Company Review: ????? (1/5)I had an extremely disappointing experience at Toyota that I feel compelled to share. When I came in to inquire about Corolla the staff member ***** Raybouse I spoke with immediately told me I wouldnt qualify due to my credit scorewithout ever running my credit or asking for any of my personal information. He couldnt have known anything about my credit history because he never asked for the necessary details to even access ***** became obvious that his decision was not based on facts but on how I looked and what nationality he assumed I was. I felt profiled and disrespected from the moment I walked in.When I pointed this out and told him that I felt I was being judged based on my appearance rather than my qualifications, things became tense enough that the general manager had to step in. I appreciated the regional managers willingness to de-escalate the situation, but the damage was already done. I should have never been placed in a position where I had to defend myself against assumptions and stereotypes. What happened to me is not just bad serviceits discriminatory behavior. No one should be denied a fair evaluation because of how they look or where someone assumes theyre from. Businesses like this need to train their staff to treat every person with fairness, respect, and professionalism. I have also emailed the **************** regarding my interaction and experience. I hope Toyota takes this seriously and works to ensure this doesnt happen to anyone else.

My wife, a friend, and I were at their location this past Friday for an appointment with sales person ******** *****. We got there and she immediately pawned off onto someone else, who spent more time making us wait than actually helping us find a car. They are absolute trash. She came over, while we talking to the other person, and gave a sorry excuse as to why she totally ignored us.

I was called by the sale manager Corre that the car I was looking for is in stock at the dealer. I made a drive of almost 1 hour to get there. I looked at the car and test drive it and decided to move forward. Then I waited almost 1.5 hour, and they came to me said the car just sold through e trade and I was sitting waiting right at the lobby. That's is ridiculous. They called and made me come there for nothing but wasted my time and money. I then requested to speak to the supervisor. He show up and telling me sorry cause I drive so far to get there. He didn't even admit that's his employee fault. He acted as he doesn't care anything but money from the customers. This is the worst ********************** dealer I have ever been too.

Today, Jan 20, 2025, I went to Lakeland Toyota to sell my Toyota Rav4 w/o buying another car from them. I was shot in the head. Lakeland Toyota will pay-off the auto loan and I will get back a check for the amount of the *** I paid when I purchased my RAV4. Lakeland Toyota wanted all for free. Is this even legal? I wonder.

My sister went to this Dealership on Friday April 5th she look for and or purchase a vehicle for her and her son. A guy named *************************** met her as she was walking into the dealership to try to sell her a vehicle. She went in with him, and she sat down with him and gave him the price of a car she was looking for and the monthly payment amount. ******* never went over options with her. He never walked the yard to show her the available options that she had to choose from what he did was told her what he had and went and got the car from the back of the lab which was not supposed to be sold because the transmission was bad and the car was in the back going to the auction. He went and bought her the vehicle and showed it to her to test drive and asked her did she like the vehicle? and wanted to purchase it. Not knowing the car transmission was bad because the check engine light was not on at the time so she went in, sat down and discussed payment options. She signed the papers and she was off with a beautiful 2016 ****** Altima with a bad transmission that was not supposed to be sold. But because the salesman wanted to make a quick sale he ripped her off with a lemon. she called him about an hour later when she got back to town and said my car was stalling and when I hit the gas, it doesnt want to go. so he told her to bring it back the next day. She took it back, they kept it and they called the next day and told her the transmission was bad and they were going to take her out of that car and put her in a new one. Needless to say They gave her the runaround concerning her money back for the vehicle when she went on Monday and they made her wait Until Friday to do the refund after I threaten to go to the dealership and fight everyone in there, if they didnt return her money for selling her a bad car with a bad transmission. I would not recommend them because they are aggressive and manipulative and they are bad business liars. I will not buy from them EVER??????

Purchased a 2016 ************ in April of 2021. Finding out that the repairs I am currently undergoing have to do with how poorly it was checked and reassembled prior to my purchase. Stripped bolts, poorly rigged repairs to Band-Aid expensive issues that SHOULD have been fixed prior to their sale of the car. Never, ever purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I regret this now and wish I had seen ALL the complaints prior to my own purchase!

Was Sold a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 in 2022 at this location only to find out it is a lemon and has been recalled . I have tried contacting this business on numerous occasions with solutions to the mechanical issues this vehicle is causing to no avail. In November of 2022 when I got the vehicle not even 20 mins after driving off the lot , the check engine light came on. I called to make an appointment to get it checked only to find out a part had to be ordered . They ordered the part and then I came back to get it installed thinking nothing of it only to find out it was the wrong part again another inconvenience of losing work everytime I came back . They had to re order it and gave me a rental for two days and when I came back the car still wasn’t done . A few months later I had to buy a new battery and gas cover out of pocket . This vehicle is causing major headaches and this location is refusing to help me fix the issues, even went as far to calling the bank I’m financing from and finding out I’m being charged more then what the car is worth . I’m paying for a $25k car and ill be $9k upside down in negative equity and would like a resolution to this situation. I am paying a higher interest and monthly payment for a vehicle that obviously has alot of mechanical issues. I tried contacting the GM by email and owner and no one is willing to make this right . The sales agent tells me it’s not the banks decision of how much I am charged it’s the dealership. I feel I am paying more than what the car is worth and need assistance figuring this out . No one from management is answering emails or phone calls regarding my concerns . I will not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle; they aren’t honest about their services or maintenance to the vehicles they sell on the lot . ! They screwed up my credit by running it through 8 different credit agencies leaving many hard inquiries which i didn’t even know about or give permission for.

Bought a bed cover that is defective has a 1-year warranty but now won't fix it because it needs to be approved by corporate. Waiting to hear back if they are liars or not. Will update to 5 stars If they adhere to the warranty.

Wish I had come to site before allowing this business to rip us off. They have 37 complaints over the last 3 years and 8 complaints within the last 12 months! This will make it 13. My daughter brought her 2007 Toyota Corolla for an oil change and to have the air which was not working diagnosed. $102 for oil change and tire rotation, expensive, yes, but my daughter agreed to the charge. The problem is being billed $240 to diagnose the air conditioner! Just to be told it would be $1400 to fix. My daughter was given the impression that the $240 would fix her problem. With any misunderstandings put aside, the bill doesn't doesn't justify the expense of $199 for labor and $40 for Freon, plus $40 misc. charge. I have had the air fixed on two previous vehicles. Neither of the diagnoses involved trying to add Freon before the problem had been found. Both times it was about $90 for a diagnoses. Toyota, responding to your many complaints is not enough and having someone call you to justify your bogus service is not enough. We all have to make a living, but we should do it honestly. A business of your size should be upholding the Toyota reputation, not diminishing it.

Took in a $49 coupon for an oil change and was charged $83. I said I only needed an oil change when I took the vehicle in. Had a full service 5 months prior. Service writer said all services included with coupon. I trusted this dealer and wasn't until I got home and checked my bill that I saw what they did. I didn't even need an oil change, but they kept hounding me to use my coupon.
