On October 13th 2023 we gave Hurricane Garage Door a check for $1,550.00 as a deposit for a garage door, after more than 10 phone calls and four unanswered emails we have not received any serious information when and if this door is ever being installed and I strongly believe it will never be installed,

We hired Hurricane Garage Doors to install a garage door for my home. Promised 3-4 weeks for the job to be completed. A year and a month later, we received our door but they never closed out the permit. I have been trying to get them to close out the permit since April 2023 to no avail. Calls are dodged, emails go unanswered. Phones appear to be disconnected. And the owner I was told doesnt even live in *******. We are now in December 2023, and have recently learned the qualifiers credentials are expired so forget about closing the permit anytime soon, she would need to send in her documentation, get revalidated, apply for a new permit since she let the old one expire then go through the whole process again. Problem is she wont even answer the phone. This company is a joke, stay away from them, dont be a victim.

I purchased a garage door from Hurricane Garage Door on September 7, 2021 for $21,500. I was told they had a license to install ******************************************* on ******* Island, only to find out they do not. While waiting to secure a permit, which never happened Hurricane *** hit *******, so the door was never installed. I was contacted by the company January 12, 2023 and asked to pay the balance for the door as they were filing for Chapter 11, but would store my door until my house was repaired from the hurricane. They told me I need to pay another $2,300 for the motor as the other motor is outdated now. In March 2023, I secured my own permit for the garage door and have been trying to schedule delivery of my door since then, only to find out they lost the railing / hardware for the door. The owner *** keeps dodging my calls and when I have spoken with him he makes false promises. I am running out of time and need to complete my home, as a hurricane victim so I can occupy my home again. They have $20,000 of my money, and I need the garage door installed ASAP, so I can close my permit and get my Certificate of Occupancy. I am concerned my only recourse is legal action. They advertise as a member of the BBB and A+ rating.

I hired Hurricane Garage Door to install two garage doors at my mom's (*************************) home in *******, ******* (***** Windrift) and also a new opener and new tracks. We put down a deposit of just over $3,800 and were told it would take several weeks for the doors to get ordered and become available. After following up in June, I was told they would be installed in August. In August, I was told September. It kept going like that. Then in November, someone there named ***** said the doors had arrived in their warehouse and we set an installation date for December 223. They called my mom a few days prior saying they had to cancel. When I called back to find out what the delay was this time, I was instructed to contact ************ Law because they were going bankrupt. Now ************ is no longer handling them as a client because no one at Hurricane (i.e *******************) is returning their calls. I have tried reaching ****************, but he will not return my calls. I am trying to get my mom's deposit back. What a truly horrible company. They took my mom's money knowing full well they were never going to do any work.

On Oct. 2022 I signed a contract with the Hurricane Garage Doors Inc. to purchase a hurricane garage door and one opener for my new project in **********. I signed the proposal and sent the a check in the amount of $3,950 for half of the contract price. The lead time for the garage door was 6-8 weeks.About three weeks ago I tried to contact them via email and phone to let them know I was ready for the garage door. Nobody returned my eamils or calls. Finally, I decided to contact SALES and talk to the salesperson who sold me the product. They answered and after several more phone calls they said the order was cancelled and they must place a new order and it would take 5-8 weeks. I could not hold the project on hold for 5-8 weeks and requested to cancel the order and get my deposit back due to their falier in getting me the product in time. I was told that they filed chapter 11 and cannot return my deposit. This company is engaging in fradulant activity, collecting deposits from customers even after they filed chapeter 11. About one month ago I needed to get a quote for three new impact resistance garage doors and I called them. Their sales person showed up the next day and said he would send me the quote. Please let me know where to call or contact to put stop on this and if I can get my deposit back.Thanks-*****

They collected a deposit from ** to preform a service. They decided they didn't want to proceed. It has been 3 months and we still have not received are deposit back. When I looked on ****** reviews it seems this is a common trend with this company.

On April 8, 2022 I signed a contract with Hurricane Garage Doors Inc. and paid a deposit of $2,134.80. They originally provided an installation date in August. Then in November. Then I had a date for 1/16/2023. I learned ~ a week prior tot this that they filed for Chapter 11 and will not be performing the work. This company continues to advertise locally under the same name. I called the office and they are willing and able to provide estimates. Presumably, they will also take deposits. How is this ok? Why can't they refund my deposit since they are taking in revenue?

I Purchased a Clopay coachman series garage door from Hurricane Garage Door last year and after waiting for it for approximately seven months it was installed in May. By ******, the door was showing signs of being defective and warping and cupping on all of the plastic parts. Hurricane Garage Door excepts, no responsibility and is not standing behind the warranty at all and says that they no longer sell the product. After calling co-pay directly, I was told Hurricane Garage Door does not exist according to their records. This was a $13,000 garage door and Hurricane Garage Door is not standing behind the warranty.

I ordered two garage doors in October 2022. They told me it would be ready 4 weeks, in November. I paid half of 2 doors, $4,600 personal check, since ****, the technician who came to measure, told me that they only accept checks or cash. They never called me, so I called them at the beginning of December and they told me that they would be there in December. December passed and nothing, so in January I asked them to return my money. They told me they would call me back. He didn't shut up. I call them on January 11, 2023 and they informed me that they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and gave me their attorney's email address. The most alarming thing is that these people continue to take contracts and money even knowing that they are applying for bankruptcy. They take the money and disappear. You can look at the latest reviews on ****** or Yelp, the number of people that have been scammed. I want to get my money back, but more than anything, I'm suing these individuals so they can revoke their license in the state of ******* and they can't keep scamming more people.

I ordered a hurricane garage door with a 50% deposit. They have since filed chapter 11 yet are still taking orders from people. Thats criminal. I never received my order.
