On 4/20/2022 I gave a $1,550 deposit. After numerous tries to get the door installed, I am now told they filed bankruptcy and will not install my garage door.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CONTRACTORS.*** extremely frustrated and angry after having my money stolen by this garage door contractor. One year ago, we hired this company to install a new garage door at our home and were promised that it would be completed in a timely manner. However, we have been waiting for over a year and have yet to receive the door or any updates on the progress of the project. To make matters worse, when we try to reach out to the contractor for answers, they either don't answer our calls or give us excuses and false promises. It's clear that they have no intention of following through on their commitments and are only interested in stealing money from unsuspecting customers.I would highly recommend that you avoid doing business with this company at all costs. They are unreliable, dishonest, and completely untrustworthy. It's a shame that there are contractors out there who are willing to take advantage of their customers in such a deceitful manner.Owner even admitted to having no proper business ethics.$2,642.00 down the drain

Deposit for garage door was made in March of 2022. Incorrect door was brought to my home in May 2022 but determined it was the wrong door prior to installation. New date of August was given for installation. August came and went. New date of November given. More excuses for delays because of transportation, etc. Door finally delivered Thursday, December 15th and installed. Door had no identifying information on it of manufacturer name, model number or serial number. No booklets or pamphlets regarding the door specifications were left by installers. Company immediately demanded final payment which I refused until I got proper documentation and specifications regarding the door which would be required by permit department of *********************, *******. Company made repeating calls which I did not answer. Then threatening texts started. I explained many times I would pay immediately upon receiving the proper documentation and upon inspection approval. Then the day after installation I found a torn sticker from the packing boxes which indicated the door was manufactured by Amarr while my contract called for "Classic Steel Premium Series with Intellicore #****" garage door manufactured by Clopay. So #1 payment was demanded prior to final city approval; #2 No documentation was left providing door specifications which would be required for city approval. Warning stickers and serial numbers were illegally removed from door.#3 Contract was not adhered to in that an inferior door made by a completely different manufacturer was installed without any notification to me.

We gave this company a 50% in the amount of $5,350.00 on July 22nd, 3 weeks ago they claim the door color and size came in wrong and they returned the doors, we asked for a refund to buy from another vendor and they agreed to refund us because their new doors would not arrive on time. Is been 3 weeks all calling every day and no answer, even the President of the company *********************************** phone number is disconnected. I also passed by their office listed in the ******* business record website and no one was there. I am looking to file a complaint for treble damages and take legal action for fraud and civil theft if I am not refunded my money as promised by the salesperson and sales manager.

On April 4th, 2022 an estimate of $3000 was sent to me, I paid the 50% deposit since April. I have been given 3 different delivery dates, yet the door has yet to be delivered. I was unable to bind insurance during hurricane season. I have yet to receive any information. So I am owed $1500, plus the interest of holding my money for almost 8 months.

This complaint is against Hurricane Garage Doors Inc. On February 18, 2022 I gave this company a deposit of $2,750.00 towards a garage door. The check was cashed in February by the company. However, ten months later, November 2022, this company has not installed the door and will not respond to my emails, telephone calls, or open the door when I visit trying to request an update on the door. I have made several attempts to contact Hurricane Garage Doors for weeks now. I have called on multiple occasions and always get placed on hold. After waiting for extended time (over 35 minutes) nobody comes back to the line or calls me back.I have sent Mr. **** (who I was told by them is the manager) an email which he did not respond to. I had communicated with him in the past in regards to the door via telephone and email. However, this time he is not responding.I took the time to visit the office on Friday, November 11th, in hopes of receiving information. When I got there, *** answered through the ring door ****. He refused to take my telephone number so that we could communicate through the phone versus through the ring door ****. He insisted that I wait there in the heat and standing by the door. He said it would only take 5 minutes for him to get me the information. At least 20 minutes went by when I hadnt heard back from him and decided to ring the Ring Doorbell again. This time there was no answer. I rang it a second time a few minutes later and again no response.Nobody called me back either, even though he had asked for our address and confirmed my name. At this point, this company has left me no choice but to file this complaint and request a full refund of the deposit of $2,750.00.

*********************** (spouse) entered into a contract with Hurricane Garage doors on February 11, 2022. Hours later contract was up gradated to an insulated garage door. Previously to the change, a deposit was applied via a check for $1,500 to the original contract, which bank rejected cause Hurricane Garage Door forgot to endorse upon depositing. To date 11/21/2022, we are still waiting on installation, nine months later. There has been much back and forth excuses about cause for not installing. Installation and dates have also been a problem. Several installation dates have been appointed by Hurricane Garage Door without our knowledge, similarly, canceled without our knowledge. All they are giving us is ping-pong excuses e.g. lack of employees, chain supply issues, manufacture issues, etc... They even wanted a full amount credit card payment on record. Reason given for this transaction, Hurricane Garage Doors have had many customers refusing to pay them after installation. It is not ethical, moral or professional to assume all customers are bad actors. To apply a safety net to their own self interest seven months after, excluded from initial contract, is not fair play. Resolution is to committee to have the garage door installed before December 15 of year 2022 and receive full payment or refund $1,500 deposit.

On 2/23/22 my husband and I ordered a new garage door from Hurricane Garage Doors *** for our home at **************************************************************************. We were initially told that the door would be delivered on 7/13/22. In July, delivery was rescheduled to 9/27/22. That date was subsequently cancelled and rescheduled to 10/11/22, then 10/26/22, then 10/29/22, then 11/7/22 and finally 11/19/22. A cancellation always came the day before installation by text message and email. On 11/19, we received neither the garage door nor any cancellation call or email. Countless calls have been made to the company and we have spoken with ****, ****, *******, ***** and *******. Each conversation was met with an excuse and a new promise. We have lost all confidence with this company and do not believe that there is any intention to deliver our door. We therefore seek a refund of our deposit in the amount of $4396.50.
