So i decided to call 3 other soar companies and they said they wouldn’t have even sold me solar living on a golf course. Second the salesman told me i was going to get a waterless tank and the nest installed after my solar was put in well they sent me a check for 2,500 and i got 2 estimates on this and it’s 5,000 and more the salesman never called me back then i got with Alex from PES solar he said he would send me a number who could help me with it and never did , then after he sent a guy over to look @ my broken panels they denied the clam to fix it so i sent him a email 4 weeks ago no response, this company doesn’t get back with there customers and i’m still trying to get this hot water tank resolved after 1 year by the way i have every text with this salesman about this issue if you would like to see them . PES has been in communication with Mr. *******. Per the contract that Mr. ******* signed with PES it states that we would provide a $2500.00 cashback check that he could purchase a hybrid hot water heater with as we do not have a plumber on staff and are not licensed plumbers. In regard to the damaged panels, Mr. ******* called in and stated he had damaged panels. PES advised him that these were due to acts of God and would not be covered under warranty. However, After Alex and Mr. ******* spoke Mr. ******* asked us to still try to submit a claim and see what happens and that Alex stated he would try to get them to still replace them, and it was unfortunately declined. PE cannot be held responsible for damaged panels that were out of our control and due to acts of God. PES is more than happy to see if we can work out some amicable solution for the customer in regard to working on helping to get the damages panels replaced. Thank you.

The amount of 2,500 was came from your salesman when i ask for the numbers of the companies that quoted him that he couldn’t come up with them i have numerous of texted messages to scott your salesman who is no longer with your company on this matter so i had 2 quotes done on my own and the amount on both was 5,000 to 5,300 . As far as the 7 damaged panels i got you guys are the experts and you put my solar panels on the back of my house on a golf course so i took it upon myself to call 2 other solar companies and both said the same thing they wouldn’t even sold me solar living on a golf course so i spent 53,000$ on solar within 1 year 7 damage panels your salesman was just about the sale . If you need i have numerous text messages to scott and here it is 1 year later and i’m still fighting this !!! And this this complaint has been in not one person has contacted me from PES to come up with any kind of solution.

PES once again cannot be held responsible for what other companies say and also held responsible for your choice in choosing to go solar. Once again, PES is more than happy to come up with a solution for the customer that best fits both the company and the customer, unfortunately that does not mean PES will take on costs and pay for something we are not at fault for as a company.

PES conducted a flawed installation of solar at my property and promised to "make it right". They proposed offering a free battery backup or refunding the cost of a trench which was improperly done. They then disappeared, only to return several months later saying they wont be honoring their commitments. Also worth pointing out their installation crews were sloppy, unprofessional, and observed using drugs.

PES has been responding to customer's complaints throughout the whole process of his solar project. Prior to this complaint Mr. ****** has been in many conversations with managers from PES in regard to said issues. Mr. ****** has stated "Sloppy" we have sent crews back to fix said issues and addressed what Mr. ****** said was the crews Using drugs and was not of anything Illegal. We camera systems in all vehicles and we monitor all crew activity daily. PES would like nothing to continue to try and resolve customer issues/complaints so that way PES and Mr. ****** can look forward to having a great Company to customer relationship and continue to be of help if he has any system issues in the future.

I am rejecting this response because:

its simply untrue. I had a conversation shortly after the initial install in which they offered several paths to correct the issues. They actions none of them and did not deliver on any promises. Also, they have multiple times acknowledged the use of drugs by their crews.

I was sold one size shape and style of battery and pre install was done for a different style shape and size battery. the pool heater, solar panels were installed okay I guess. now comes the battery. they used plans for the original battery but installed the different battery in a different place. extra holes, loose cables, failed inspections, trip after trip, after trip. still unfinished. done things I just repaired myself like soffits and extra holes. the last time they showed without any plans I kicked them out.

The installation of my solar panels by PES was in August of last year 2022, altough they started producing in September after the Electric Company changed the clock in the exterior of my house. This past few months everything was working fine until this week that my Enphase equipment in the outside of my house stopped working, its like the problem is related to not receiving power for some reason. I noticed the knife switch (installed by PES too) on the side of my Enphase Device has a couple cables with the rubber half melted and I though that maybe that was the issue, and tried to contact the Installer PES by phone, and my problems started. It doesn’t matter at what times I call the number, always go directly to voicemail, left several messages and nothing, the only thing that seemed to work was contacting the person that came selling the solar panels to me last year, through him someone contacted me and said that a tech would be coming on Thursday, so Monday stopped working and I was supposed to receive a tech on Thursday to fix the issue. Today is thursday and I sent several texts throughout the day to the person that contacted me to tell me about the appointment inquiring about the time the tech would be coming, and didn’t get a response until late in the afternoon saying that the tech encountered problems and needed to reeschedule, but nothing else, no date, no further explanation, so, I started trying to contact PES again by calling (leaving messages again), and sending emails that rebounded, so, not even the emails work for that Company that I thought was a good one. Now I am believing that installing Solar Panels was not my most brightest idea, or at least I should have investigated better PES before taking this so much expensive step. The only thing I can do is read my contract with this “not very serious Company” to see what are my rights in all of this. I already contacted a professional electrician that will come to check, of course for a price.

Mr. ****** Notified PES solar of the issue on 4/4 in regard to the melted wires he states in the complaint.  Typically, with any service work it takes at least a week to get to a customer's house because we have techs all over the state. PES was out at this homeowner's house in as little as 2 days and the issues was fixed on 4/7. Our technician spoke to the homeowner before he left and stated the homeowner was happy with PES. PES always aims to please the customer and ensure that we can always find a solution to the customers problem and maintain and great company to customer relationship for the lifetime of the system. If, the customer still has any complaints or problems we encourage the customer to please call and in and ask for the "****" the customer service manager so we can resolve any current issues the customer might be upset about.

I hired PES (Professional Electrical Services) company back in September 2022 to install 22 solar panels in my house that cost me $31,521.00 (financed by *** Bank) Contract number with PES: ******. Since November 30, 2022 the panels are messed up and they are not generating energy, the panels and the Gateway is not reporting to the grid so I had been fighting with them since November 2022 to fix my system that still under warranty (25 years labor warranty) and they still not giving up that I have a faulty equipment. In the meantime, I am paying monthly the bank who financed my solar system, and on top of that paying the same high energy bill that I was paying before having my panels installed. I spent about three hours on three different occasions following Enphase and PES instruction, troubleshooting trying to get it connected to the Wi-Fi unsuccessfully. Two technicians from PES came to the site to troubleshoot unsuccessfully. Currently, I still with my system down. I just want my system up and functioning, repaired, replaced or refunded. The work from this company has been consistently poor and late. Having signed a contract on August 25, 2022, they installed our 18-panel solar system on October 4. On that install date, they knocked out power to my pool pump and lawn irrigation systems. It took them over a week to come back and fix that. They failed inspection 3 times, resulting in a "Permission to operate" date of December 14, 2022, more than 2 months after install. On January 13, we had a power outage of approximately 5 minutes that resulted in damage to 11 of the 18 microinverters. It took them 12 days to come out and look at the problem. Then they said that: 1. The damage wasn't covered by the warranty 2. We should have installed a surge protection device that they didn't tell us about previously nor offered to install As of today, 9 days later, I'm still waiting on a quote from them to give them more thousands of dollars to fix a system one month into operations. Today I've left multiple messages and no one picks up the phone or returns calls.

PES installed this solar system on 10/4/2022 and system was on and operational on 12/14/2022, meaning the entire project took less than 4 months. Typically, projects in NW Florida can take 4-6 months from contract signing to the moment the power company grants permission to operate. In regards to the issues with pool pump/lawn irrigation, we made every attempt to make this service a priority and get a technician on site quicker than the usual 2-week turnaround time it takes to schedule services over 4-hours away from headquarters. Regarding the act of God incident causing the inverter damage to 11 of the 18 inverters, which per manufacturer warranty is not covered, PES understands the customer's frustration. Due to our Platinum-level status with Enphase, PES was able to advocate for Enphase to provide the inverters as a one-time customer service courtesy (an $1,800 savings for the Homeowner). The only charges the Homeowner incurred as a result of our efforts was the labor charge, which the Homeowner agreed was reasonable and has since paid. The replacement service will be completed on 2/15/2023 and we will continue to monitor the project to ensure full resolution of this matter and that top-notch customer service is provided moving forward.

PES has spoken to the homeowner about the issues said in the complaint. Mrs. ***** has agreed and understood that the issues were not at fault to PES and it had everything to do with Duke demanding a Transformer upgrade. Mrs. ***** has agreed to resolve the issue and has stated she will discuss it with Mr. ***** in resolving this case. PES wants nothing more than to make our customers happy and have a happy 25-30 year customer to company relationship.

We contracted with PES Solar for installation of solar panels and batteries. Dispite discussing installing the batteries in the garage with the sales rep several times, the panels were installed on the outside of the garage. Additionally, the project was supposed to be completed by January 1st as the loan payments for the equipment are due beginning February 1st. The installation has been inspected on two occasions by the county and has failed each time. I now need to take a vacation day to be present for the installers to come once again and correct the issues. I have attached a statement with additional details.

PES, understands the customers complaint and since then on this complaint we have talked with the homeowner many times and resolved all issues. The homeowner is now happy and the homeowners system is now operational. Since then we have also reimbursed the customer back a couple loan payments due to the inconvenience of issues during install. We hope that due to all of the issues now being resolved that the customer is happy and we can move forward and continue to maintain a great relationship between eachoother. If the customer feels any issues are not resolved please feel free to reach out to the customer service manager "Eric" and he will assist with anything you need. Thank you.

We purchased a home solar system from PES Solar on 5/4/22 (see attached paid in full invoice), which included 27 roof panels, an Enphase Envoy IQ Gateway and a 25 year warranty for $29,328.75. Our home was unfortunately affected by Hurricane Ian on 9/28/22 with 7 feet of water inside the house. Luckily, the roof was relatively undamaged, including most of the solar panels (a few have scratches - we don't know if that will impact how well they work because we cannot test the system). However, the Enphase Gateway was under water. As you can see from the attached email that my husband sent to the company, we need to have them A. Contact us - my husband has made numerous calls, sent emails and texts beginning 10/18/22 (it is now 1/19/23 - 113 days since the hurricane - we have almost all our critical systems back operational EXCEPT SOLAR!), with either no response or a promise of responses/visits that were never made or kept (see copy of email from Jimmy E***/Chris of PES Solar dated 1/12/22 - he did not call on 1/13/22 as he promises in the email - NO ONE has gotten back to us, including the COO; B. Do an inspection of the system and give us a report in writing (we need for insurance) with a proposal for repair or replacement; C. Get a permit from the town of Fort Myers Beach to do the repairs (we even reminded them that permits were free until 1/17/22 and they did not follow up on it); D. Do the repairs! The employees that my husband has managed to get through to on the phone have only threatened us with voiding the warranty if we get anyone else to fix the system, yet they won't come and fix it! This is illegal, is restraint of trade and not part of the warranty document (attached). We don't understand why they won't just come and do the work? We know this is not a warranty claim. They are going to get paid, whether by us or by insurance. We need this system to be up and running now, without being gouged by the company for the repair.

PES Solar is actively in the process of resolving this matter for the homeowner. The manager originally responsible for following up and taking care of the quote/repair process was relieved of his duties in mid-January. Since then, communication with the homeowner has been more frequent, a quote for repairs was delivered and agreed to by the homeowner, and the process of permitting/completing repairs is in motion. We look forward to the full resolution of this matter.

      Business response

      02/22/2023

The repair have not been completed yet as the permit for the repairs is currently under review with the building department in Fort Myers Beach. The filing referenced in the previous communication is the Notice of Commencement (NOC) which is filed in the county of residence. The original project was also permitted this way, NOC filed with Lee County and the permit application filed with the Town of Fort Myers Beach. Our team will continue to keep the homeowner updated throughout the remainder of the project until completion.
