On October 24 2023, I entered into an agreement with Sun Rental Connection to rent out up to 4 weeks of my time share extra weeks through **********************. I paid $1197 for this service. During the past year I did receive a number of offers but there was never any availability at any location to complete rental and receive payment. I never had a problem with communication with Sun Rental Connections up until approximately the middle to end of September. A representative called me with an offer. Upon checking into I had difficulty and needed further assistance. I reached out via telephone and e-mail a number of times without success. Email says guaranteed 24 hour response telephone answering person says all representative are currently busy and will call back when they are free. Never got any response.Beginning the last week of October I began to feel something wasn't right and possibly receptionist answering the phone was not forwarding the messages. I began calling twice a day every weekday through 11/8/2024 and always got the same message, sometimes being placed on hold multiple times in excess of 30 minutes, several times for over 1 hour before I gave up. Not sure of relationship but phone rings into and is answered by Orlando Stay Accommodations, who according to the answering representative is the receptionist for Sun Rental Connections.Customer Answer

I have tried to contact Sun Rental Connections again at all three numbers I have for the company. One is always answered *************************** the other 2 Sun rental Connections customer service. All numbers always say all representative are busy and put you on hold or offer a call back which never comes. All numbers I have now blocked my phone number. I know this because I tried using my wife's phone and got thru to the answering representative and was put on hold for 35 minutes until I gave up and tried to call back only to find out my wife's number is now blocked. I notice in other complaints filed with your office, they say to please reach out to a manager for a resolution. No way for me to reach out when my calls are blocked, and e-mail does not get a response.Business Response

In late 2022-early 2023 we were solicited by this company to purchase vacation weeks. These were bonus weeks that were optional to buy because we belonged to timeshare outfits(RCI, Worldmark, Wyndham). The purchases were $400/ea. We purchased six of them.Sun Rentals was to find renters for $1800/week for us. There were feeble attempts to satisfy their contract with us. A couple of potential requests were made and were did our part to help Sun Rentals complete the apparent transactions. Nothing ever became of the attempts or the transactions with potential renters.You may want to hear more details. But, the bottom line is that Sun Rentals is scamming people. We apologize for the lack of information. So far, this is what we have.
All we want is a return of our monies due to the fraudulent practices of Sun Rentals.
We invested $2400. to have Sun Rentals manage six weeks of vacation time rentals. Essentially, each $400 week, was to bring us a return of $1800 when they found renters for the time share condos. This was guaranteed.We dont like to be fraudulently taken advantage of and want restitution.

I am rejecting this response because: The response given from Sun Rentals is not accurate. This is merely is pacifying this complaint.
We had only received three offers, which we responded to immediately. On the surface their practices sound good. Sun Rentals assured us of guaranteed returns. They have successfully swindled us. There have been zero follow *** and zero offers made to us in approximately the last 9-12 months. We performed verbatim according to their given directions to complete a transaction. After several attempted deals Sun Rentals went silent on us. We replied to them with requests for more attempted offers from them. Sun Rentals appears to be fraudulent in their practices and we want our monies returned.Sun Rentals only needs to make good on two complete transactions in order to satisfy us. If they cant do that we want our money returned!

I was called & told that they were an affiliate of my timeshare group. They would resell my getaway certificates (which are supposed to be unlimited) at a profit -- had to pay 1891$ up front. Paid the money -- nothing ever sold-- tried a couple times to ask for a refund. Sent numerous emails. Sat on hold for hours -- on their "customer service" line -- then each time they would hang up. -- need to get these funds back. How can they stay in legal business if this is a nefarious operation ? Around July of 2023, My wife and I put up 4 weeklong rentals, from our Timeshare and paid this Sun Rental Connections, Corp. $1800. We were assured the offers would start coming in around October of that same year. The whole time we received about 4 offers, but the times were never available. They would call us with the offers and have us check availability, and then have us call them back, and would answer our calls immediately, and if that one did not go through, they would notify us of another offer, until, just recently, they stopped calling and notifying us of any offers. We were guaranteed they would be rented, and after the first 180 days passed, we still received no offers. Another 6 months went by with zero results. So now per the agreement, if we did not receive any paid offers within the time frame mentioned, we could ask for a refund. Now that we are calling to ask for a refund, everyone is either busy with another client, and they will have some one contact us within 24 hours, but no one calls us back. When we call back in to speak to someone, this time we tell them we will just hold because no one is calling us back, they proceed to put us on hold for hours, then eventually the call just drops. We are very frustrated at this point, because prior to this they were answering our calls on the spot, now it seems like they are simply avoiding us. We just want our refund of $1800, which is what we paid, and we will be satisfied, but will refrain from doing anymore business with this company. Please help us obtain our refund.Business Response

April 2023, this company contacted me wanted to market and sell 6 weeks of my timeshare bonus weeks. They said they would be able to resell and make me a profit of $1800 minimum per week - all I had to do was pay for the marketing and respond with availability/options within "timely" manner of receiving offers. They also indicated I could negotiate rates but the best option would be to accept the original offer. I receive no offers within the first 90 days and I know I did not receive more than 5 offers in 6 months - none of which I was able to take advantage of due to the location/unit requested was not available for the dates requested. I have reached out more than 10 time to the company requesting refund and they have yet to respond anything more than they won't while charge is in dispute with credit card company. I only disputed because they refuse to respond. ****** promises were made that this is "no brainer" you'll "make money" on this and "it's very easy". I should have known better but they are clearly predatory and do not want to honor their end. I responded to every offer I received and never received response to the alternatives I provided other than confirmation of receipt from Sun Rental. I have had zero offers in over 6 months - last one I have record of was Sept 2023. I have emailed multiple times requesting a refund to which most have been unanswered. I have not had any voicemails left by your company since September of 2023 so if you are attempting to reach me, it appears to be pretty half hearted - similar to your attempts to book my weeks. It is laughable that you think 5 offers is worth the $1800 I paid you. I simply want my money back.

I paid $1800 for this Sun Rental Connections to rent out my timeshare. They have sent numerous offers to rent this for $1800 but no luck at renting what they requested. The date of the payment, which was in the amount of $2394.00 was posted on May 8, 2023.the business promised to sell six rental getaways that I purchased from my timeshare for them to rent out for a guaranteed $1800 each. They would send me dates of 7 day getaways that their customers wanted, I would have to check the availability with possible alternatives they could offer to them if those specific dates were not available. the dispute is that there have been no more than six offers of which I responded to with nothing available for the specified dates. This program has not successfully provided a requested date that they asked me to look for and sold as was promised. It is almost a year now and when I asked for a refund they said either they will step up their offers to me, which they have not, or told me that they are giving me an extension of 30 or 60 days time which is rapidly running out. They informed us that they needed the exact dates they had requested for a seminar they will be attending. And then I get one offer maybe in a month and invariably there is nothing available and the alternatives are not acceptable. We are coming upon expiration and not one of the six I paid for have sold and they guaranteed to be sold at $1800 each have not materialized. I just want a refund. Or, if they could manage to sell at least two of the six for their suggested price, I could be cool with that. At least I'll get my money back.

On 3/21/23, I gave Sun Rental Connections ~$2400 because they said they could sell the unused bonus weeks from my HGV ownership. I did get a few offers but the property was never available so I provided alternates as the process states. The company never came back with any purchases. They said for each of the 6 bonus weeks would be $1800 per week minimum. I haven't heard anything for several months and when I've tried calling them or emailing over the last few days, I've heard nothing or been put on hold..only to sit and wait for no one to pick up the call. I've tried asking for a manager but continue to be placed on hold and I can't even talk to anyone without providing name and phone number. They even couldn't confirm that I would talk to anyone once they put me on hold. No one has said my account is on hold or I lack anything. I didn't even ask for the additional 6 month extension. My experience is the same as the other complaints here. I really just want my money back and yes the true cancellation time frame was the first 10 days but the company hasn't done what they said they'd do. I am rejecting this response because: This response is nice but it is the first time in 6 months that I've heard anything from Sun Rental Connections and I have yet to have direct contact with them. No calls, no emails. Just a response via BBB and no names. If anyone has tried to call, it's been robo calls or folks have called and I've been hung up on, or called without any voicemails. The one person I spoke to that sold me this 'deal', the 'direct' line isn't a direct line... just sends me to the receptionist who refuses to let me speak to anyone without providing my info. I'm really tired of waiting for anything to happen and this again is unfortunate. Please just return my money. I just want to be left alone. Other companies have called wanting to try to sell me the same thing and I've told them no because I thought I had this great deal...turns out, it's just a scam. I thought it was fishy that you have to be the middle person between your credits and the rental companies. They can't call directly themselves.
