I called Waste Pro 5-16-2022 to cancel a dumpster located at ** ********** Church Rd, ******** *** The bill is listed as Drummers Rest LLC. I emailed them on 5-17-2022. I sold the property on 5-6-2022. I received a bill on 6-6-2022. I called on 6-7-2022 and emailed again. I was told a sales rep would call . They called today and said it would take 7-10 days to cancel service. I asked to speak to a supervisor about the bill. Since I have been calling and emailing for a month, I have no confidence they will call me. Evidently, if they don't call you, you are still charged for service. The dumpster still has not been picked up. I am now being billed for 2 months for a dumpster on property I don't own. It should not be this hard to cancel service.Business Response

I have moved from our previous address on Karen ***** Monroe NC in Sept. of 2021. I called your office and left message that service needed to be cancelled and if any questions please call us back. We were never called back and a few months later were billed again. I called your office again and had to leave another message and i did and explained again we had moved and still being charged. Fast forward to now and we have been charged every since and have left 3 total messages and for some reason no one can figure out how to answer phone or return call from messages or how to cancel account. This morning after getting another auto payment charge i decided to call and stay on hold until someone answers. However as per normal even with only 4 people in phone que, according to your service, an hour later and still no answer so had to hang up. Some of us have jobs and cant stay on phone all day so if you would actually return calls when message left it would be great. At this point we expect a full refund for all charges since we let in Sept. 2021. As a business owner i understand mistakes happen but this is beyond a mistake in my eyes after many attempts and going on for more than half of a year. The fact that calls are not returned shows that you really do not care about customers issues and reflects exactly why your BBB amount of complaints are so high.Business Response

I rented a dumpster for a few days for an agreed price which was higher than other prices but I thought because waste pro was a bigger company that they would probably be better. The dumpster was not delivered on scheduled date nor was it picked up on schedule but I did not complain, I only called to check status. I received my bill and it is substantially more than my contract states. I was calling the person whom gave me the contract and trying to get it resolved. In the mean time their collection agency started harassing me about paying the bill, keep in mind that I had just gotten the bill and it was incorrect. The sales rep stated she had fixed the invoice so I attempted to pay the account only to find out it was still not correct, In the mean time I was getting harassed by their collections agency and they would not attempt to rectify the problem. After continual harassment I paid the bill even though it was more than the agreed to price. Once I paid the bill I could no longer get the sales rep to respond to my messages.Business Response

The customer was charged incorrectly for Fuel and Environmental, but the invoice was corrected on 5/31/22 when the sales rep addressed the issue for him. The credits were applied and the customer was charged properly to match the contract he signed. I was charged 16% of the total bill, I was told that the fuel surcharges would only apply to delivery and pick up of tge dumpster. I was also told the environmental fee was only applied to the rental, again I was charged on the entire bill. In addition they added almost 20.00 fee because I used a credit card, this was not mentioned nor would I approve it. Their own sales rep said I was over charged and she didn't know why. I have the text conversation to prove it. I DO NOT ACCEPT BEING CHEATED Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/14) */ The customer was charged the 3% credit card processing fee which Emmy (Collections Specialist) informed him of the fee and even told him he could pay with ACH to avoid the fee and he told her that he was just going to go ahead and pay with his credit card and that he wanted to go ahead and get it over with and be ******* done with us. 03/20/22 $99.00 I've contacted them 4 times with documentation (included here) proving I paid the bill. They said ok, we'll fix it. Just received an overdue bill again dated May 26, 2022 for the $99 - one of several over the past month or so. PLEASE correct my account before they shut off my service again !!Business Response

This is a recurring problem with this company. I put my garbage out on the street the night before scheduled pickup, which is every Wednesday and Saturday. At least once every month the garbage truck drives by without stopping to puck up my garbage, which means it sits in our garage for another 3 or 4 days. I have called the company several times to complain, but nothing is ever done in response to my calls. This problem cannot continue! If they can't fix this, I would like our HOA to consider another company to take care of our trash.Business Response

The driver came back to complete the trash pickup on Wednesday June 1 (the next regular pickup day), even though I had left my can outside on Saturday May 28. A representative from the company called me in the morning on June 1, and informed me that the driver claimed my can was not in front of my house that morning. I went outside and verified that my can was definitely outside and in front of my house (and had recently been emptied). The representative said he would confirm the correct address with the driver and get back to me, but I never heard from him again. It appears there is a lot of confusion about which can belongs to which house, which may explain why the trash pickup is missed so often. Trash was not picked up today. Everyone else in my neighborhood was. No one at waste pro will help. They just tell you that it will be sent back out for pick up in 24-48 hours and then in 4 days on Monday when the office opens again they tell you that they have until the end of the day to pick it up and then Monday goes by and Tuesday no show Wednesday no show. Last time they did this I waited 3 weeks to pick up my trash . I had to go out and pick my overflowing trash up out of the yard everyday because birds and raccoon would throw it all over my yard..I had to pack up rotten spoiled food that was out in the hot sun for3 weeks and take it to a dumpster myself because no one ever came. waste pro didn't care if your trash doesn't get picked up. They can't make their drivers do anything. I pay my taxes for garbage service it should be picked up every weekBusiness Response

I switched to Waste Pro a couple of years ago when the City of South Fulton sent our community a list of waste companies serving the area. Within the last year, Waste Pro has consistently missed my Friday garbage pick up day at least once a month. My garbage has been outside on the curb since Friday May 20th, today is May24th. The customer service dept. indicated the truck is down. I canceled my service and requested a refund for my recent payment for June-Aug.. I was told I had to wait two months for the refund. I had to pay for another company, I would like my money sent to my account within one week. This company should be fined for the poor service.Business Response

Since Jan 2021 I have been calling Waste Pro and complaining that either my trash is not being picked up or my Recycle. I make this call way to frequently. Today 4:25PM 20/5/2022 i arrived home to the nice and neat pile of boxes for the recycle to pick up as per the directions of a Waste Pro employee in January 2021 on the first indecent. As shown in the the neat pile of large boxes to big for the blue recycle bins and in the distance across the street the recycle picked up to avoid any possible excuses.Business Response

The drivers aren't held reliable and not all my pickups were a come back the same day. This is an issue within the company and I'm paying the city who pays you for services that get done half way. Example: last Tuesday they only took the top trash bags that was in the trash cab and didn't even dump the cans. My trash cans are broken to heck and back and when I called in I was told "I must have my receipt to get reimbursed. No one keeps a receipt for trash cans and they were about 2 ys old. I have also made complaints that they left loose trash in my yard. Your people need to be held responsible and I should have to pay for crap service. Her words. 2) I have 2 trash cans that are broken up. I have 6 people in my house. The trash bags I use are 40 gallon trash bags and we go through a bag a day. The trash can (single) that she brought by won't even fit 1 bag. Way to small. Instead of the company contacting me. She tried to do a drop and run. Didn't even ring the bell. So the trash can I received won't even work. After pointing out my trash cans aren't "cheap" she didn't even look at my cans to see the difference in size. 2) the way she said "my house is on watch" felt more like a threat. This person should not be making house calls if they don't know how to treat people with respect. 3) after telling her I have personally witnessed thier employees kick and throw other people's trash cans and have no respect for people's properties. She rolled her eyes at me. 4) I showed here a picture of wood with nails in it that was laying in the middle of the road where they drive down AFTER seeing them just pass. She insisted that if I didn't see them actually do it, that it wasn't her employees, instead it was the home owner across the road. To which I replied " no its no the home owner, it's your garbage employees because I have seen them leave trash behind and I have called in because they left a bunch of trash all my yard. 4) which brings me to my final complaint. I have called in so many times to which the lady that came out has only said they have 3 calls on record. Well it's not my fault again thier employees are doing their jobs as I have called for trash all over my yard, my cans being broken up, trash or recycling left behind multiple times, and for tree trimmings to be picked up. So no my issue isn't resolved and this company is horrible at actually assisting complaints. I am a customer of Waste Pro and they have committed to providing trash pickup weekly on Wednesday and recycling every other Wednesday. They have only been here 1 of the 6 Wednesdays to pick up anything (trash or recycling). They only came the 1 time (Wednesday May 4th) because I called the City(Asheville) so they have missed 5 of their 6 obligated pickups.Business Response
