I paid over $20,000 to have glass doors installed in 2022. All four glass panels began fogging (broken seals) in 2023. For over six months I have been trying to get the bad glass replaced. I finally received information from the manufacturer and they want me to pay $2200 in labor to have the glass replaced. They say that they will guarantee the glass for 26 years, but will not cover the installation cost. I am starting to think this company is a scam and that they plan to make money off of installing warrantied replacement products every few years. If I had known they had an F rating with the BBB I never would have bought their doors.

      Customer response

      09/05/2024

The company has reduced my fees for warranty installation. I still think it is too much, but unless I want to replace the entire door, I have no choice but to use them for the replacement. I don't wish to pursue this complaint, but I will leave a poor review.

Defective window provided to our contractor. The window was ordered in October 2023. Installation of the window was initiated on January 19, 2024. There are parts missing and the window cannot be used. We cannot close the permit out until the window is fixed. A request for service was placed for urgent correction of the problem. The company has not sent anyone out to fix the problem despite daily phone calls from the contractor.

Don't even consider EcoWindows! Not fully ethical.I ordered an arched metal frame window and sliding metal frame doors (with side panels) from them and paid them the deposit on March 28, 2023 with a promised ***** week lead time (a promised July 4 - July 18 delivery that they said "We will probably beat."). Well, those dates came and went. Every time that I spoke to ************************* after late June he assured me that everything was on schedule. Until late August, when he informed me that they were holding the shipment until they had enough orders to fill a shipping container. Geez!Well, they finally came to do the installation on Sept 9, 2023... two months late already. And the lites on the glass paneled doors (pictures attached) did not align. They promised that they would (very important) and they specified that they would in the final approved technical drawings that they sent me.But, when they attempted the first installation on Sept 9 the panels did not align. They said that they didn't have the parts to correct it and that they would have to order them. They promised. I waited. Until, on Dec 11, they informed me that they had the parts but would not come out and install them until I had paid them in full for both the windows ($17,786... which I had done already) and the installation ($2,900). Regardless of whether the windows were fixed or the installation was complete. We are about to go to court. There is no dispute regarding what I will owe on completion of the job. Just whether or not they will show up to finish the job.Avoid EcoWindows! ************************* is more than a little bit shifty. There are multiple alternatives. And, so far, 5 months late and trying to extort a final payment pre-completion, they are not a company that I would do business with.*****************************, ************ Like Share ?Add a photo

None told me that it will be delivered on this day or that date. When I called the dealer or sales rep(*****), I got no answer. I am sorry, but *********** has better customer service than Eco ************************* paid fully but they don't say or deliver my product. They are thief/

For less , than 2 years, there is second problem with window parts, which is not addressed. The first time it took 4 month to seal obvious defect in windows, causing water leaks inside apartment.now it is service 'PO ******' (, which for 3 weeks, neither installer , nor myself , can get hold of any responsible person at this manufacturer. On 8(!) out of 12 installed panels , rubber bottom sealer of window, got detached, and causing potential water and pollution inside apartment. Besides , windows itself is not sit as tight , as necessary - this is Miami hurricane zone ! Now , they refuse to provide necessary service and repair - no good. Please, investigate and advise...thanks *********************************

What began as a signed contract for impact windows on Sept. 9, 2021 and an approved ARB from the homeowners association sent to ************************* of Action Windows on Sept 23, 2021 has me still awaiting on April 11, 2022 for ECO Window Systems to deliver the replacement for a broken window to Action Windows for installation of my last window and screens. The expected delivery date for all the windows was ***** weeks. ***** requested a replacement of a single broken window on Nov. 15. On Feb. 4, ***** added me to the email chain to see if ECO would be more responsive to his continuing requests for a resolution to the missing window. Yosdel ******* of CGI sent a picture of the window and screen in the factory to the chain on Feb. 18. ***** was told the replacement would be delivered to him on March 1. ***** installed the unbroken windows on March 14. The replacement for the broken window was the wrong size. More emails ensued requesting a replacement for the replacement window and more email responses of checking on it. Still no window and hurricane season is fast approaching. I would like the correct size replacement window delivered for installation before the ************************* starts issuing its Tropical Weather Outlooks. Attached are some of the emails. I can provide copies of all the emails.

in June of 2019 I purchased an exterior patio door that cost 7k. It is a special door that 4 panels and fold into the wall as opposed to a sliding glass door. BHP was the contactor that installed all new hurricane windows and doors. Eco Windows was the manufacturer of the door. The door has not been functioning since installed and this is all documented. In fact two sections are inoperable and some of teh panels cannot ne locked. After many times of technicians from Eco came too service the door since 6/19 it was determined by the manufacturer that the door needed to be replaced. In February of 2022 I was notified by ********************* of Eco that the new door had been manufactured and is ready for installation. After countless attempts to contact ***** he will not return my calls. I have spoke with Manny of BHP (the contractor) this week and he stated that there is a dispute between BHP and Eco regarding which company should pay the $1600 charge to install new door. BHP stated to me that I must deal directly with Eco Windows. Eco Windows states I must deal with BHP and does not speak to thecostumer. For the past three years I have been pushed aside, ignored, given empty promises therefore I am still left with a 7k door that does not function. I want this resolved and the new door installed as it is three years of fighting for this. As the consumer I should not be in the middle of this battle between which company pays for the installation of the new door. The door should be installed and immediately instead of me going through all this grief for 3 years. 7k may not be a lot of money to some people but for me it is and it is absolutely ridiculous that i have been trying to get this resolved for almost 3 years now. Please help me get the proper door installed. I am exhausted over this issue and feel like I am being taken advantage of. Both BHP and Eco have completely dismissed me. I don't know what else to do anymore.
