Horrible company! Stein Mart makes every effort to make customer service impossible to reach. So Buyer Beware! Spare yourself the frustration and do not do business with them. And the clothing is only fair quality.

Online scam with this company. Ordered an item no updates called the numbers listed no answer or disconnected did the online chat it just repeats the same responses. Never been scammed before which is the reason I dont order online. I want my refund

I ordered a pair of pants on line and never got them. There is no number to call and I sent 21 emails.

I ordered 2 of the same purse online. And only received one. Spoke to Steinmart reps 3 times 1st said I would have my package by the end of the week I called mid week and was told someone would be in contact with me. Nothing! I called back end of week and was told my package is in the warehouse The last rep overtalked me. I asked for a supervisor and was told I would get a call in 48 hours. This is my 1st and last time ordering online with steinmart. Totally wasnt expected to be treated this way. Open your stores back up. The customer experience was so much more professional and exceptional. Too bad

I purchased 2 dresses. I was notified that one was out of stock after I paid and was offered store credit. I tried to return the other and was told I could only have store credit. I had to request a return label via email and did not readily get a response, so I tried to get the labels via chat, where I was accused of wearing the item!! Finally, I was contacted via email about the return label and after going back and forth I was told that I only qualified for store credit as indicated above. I had to pay for return shipping, and have also been charged a monthly fee for a subscription??? I tried to cancel and was given a hard time. To make matters worse, there is not anything in the store that I want. I am not familiar with the old Stein mart but was told it had a good reputation. This is literally not the same Steinmart. . Steinmart sold its name to this online store. It is impossible to call because the phone is always busy. I did demand to speak with a supervisor via email and I did get a call from someone that was not helpful. He insisted he had no boss. I get the feeling that this company is trying to profit from the Stein mart name and make as much money as possible for as long as it can get away with. I cannot believe how much time I wasted with these criminals. Definitely lots of unethical behavior at the very least. I never have bothered to file any type of complaint before but have never been so infuriated with a "business". I hope that something can be done to stop these behaviors. It is really despicable.
