My account was set up for auto pay. I had my debit card linked to auto pay as my way of paying monthly payments. On January 31 2025 my debit card had expired after successfully paying January payment. I did not realize the debit card expired so when February payment came due it would not accept since it expired. I was notified by *** that payment did not go through. I immediately updated my debit card information and paid the $160 payment on March 3rd. This was 3 days past due date. After a couple days I was notified by *** my payment is still behind. I called them to discuss this and was informed that each day payment is late it accrued a $1.98 per day late fee. I explained what happened and they said my account is now $24 in late fees and it will continue to add up until I pay the late fee. I explained I made the payment and was willing to pay the $1.98 per day for the 3days it was late. They said unless you pay all late fees your account will show not being paid and will continue to accrue late fees daily. I have never been late with any payments on anything let alone this loan. This is unfair billing practices and in my opinion illegal. Please look into this before more people get taken. I went ahead and got a loan somewhere else and paid *** off in full so they could not steal another cent from me. I am retired and am on a fixed income and they had no flexibility or even tried to remedy this situation admirably. Thank you in advance for looking into this.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The customer service person I spoke with believes that charging a customer $1.98 a day for late charges after you made the recurring payment and the account is up to date. I was only 3 days late to begin with and as I explained was because my debit card expired. Immediately upon being notified that the payment was not processed I looked into why and remedied the problem. *** was charging a late fee after payment was made and it continued to accrue. If I had not paid this loan in full *** would still be charging me $1.98 a day until I paid the late fees in full. I owed at most $5.94 for making payment on the third (3days late) of the month, but they wanted me to pay $24 in order to stop charging the $1.98 a day. This has got to be illegal, I know its immoral and totally unfair & unethical, by gouging a great customer. I would like to have all late fees charged in the payoff amount I paid refunded in full and an apology for the way they treated me and handled a simple debit card expiration issue.

I am rejecting this response because:
I refuse to continue to go back and forth with ***. The fact of the matter is I was 3 days late on my payment due to a card that expired. I made the total payment in full on March 3rd for $160. When making the payment online it did not show a late fee so I paid what it said I owed. Afterwords *** started sending me emails stating my payment has not been received so I contacted a customer service representative. I was informed that there was a late payment due in the amount of $24. I disputed this charge since I was only ***** late. In which they replied that there is a $1.98 a day late fee. I responded that I will pay the $6 I owe for being ***** late. They responded that since I did not pay the original late fee that it will continue to add up $1.98 every day until late fees are paid. I then asked for a supervisor and was told a supervisor will tell you the same thing. I again asked to speak to a supervisor and was told a supervisor will be in touch within 24hours. I was contacted 3or more days later by a supervisor and also went round and round with him concerning the issue and got nowhere. I paid the loan completely off to include all their ridiculous fees. I am only asking for the money I paid over and above the 3 days I was late which was $5.94. In one year they received almost $1000 in interest on this loan. I only want what is right. Thank you

I did return the call, I spoke with Dorkaf. The issue was not fix. The point they are missing there was no communication about my account being late and nothing, no late fee etc. Was being reported on the transaction.She stated due to new management and audit, there was some discrepancy with the account.

I am rejecting this response because:I spoke to representative every other week from March to November letting them know that I changed job and that I need to switch payments to my current job which they claimed *** couldn't do. The representative kept telling me that they will notate the account. I was also sent a form back in July 2024 for an allotment to be taken from my current job which set in an account, the representative at (web co bank) didn't know where to send the funds after *** gave me the routing number and account number. The representative at ********** said they(***) never go the account set up from BMG.
Never once did *** representative state I was behind since June 2024 which I paid. In October *** sent me a missed payment email. In November I set up automatic bank draft *** representative NEVER stated I was late and need to pay a certain amount to bring the account current.
I Did not receive any emails, phone calls or text from *** until March 2025 when I reached out to them about a 30-day late notice on my credit report. *** did not reach out to me until you (BBB) reached out them.
*** has Poor communication and report inaccurate information.

File a complaint against [BMG MONEY] regarding their failure to properly notify me about changes to their payment policies, which has negatively impacted my financial situation and my credit. I was previously making weekly payments from my payroll account. Due to my pay schedule switched paid weekly to monthly, I was instructed to switch to a monthly payment instead of the weekly payments. So I changed my payroll deductible to monthly to equal the weekly payments. I was not informed that this would be considered "late" by the company. Again I received no notification. I was later told, when I initiated a call, without any formal notification/communication, that the company would no longer accept monthly payments and would only accept weekly payments going forward. Despite this, my monthly payments matched the total amount of four weekly payments but still considered late. This change in payment policy and lack of notification has resulted in my account being reported as late, and I believe this information has negatively affected my credit report. I am rejecting this response because:
I request 30 days past due postings on my credit to be removed from credit. Company changed their policies without proper notification. I was told to changed payments to monthly payroll deductions, while not being informed that it will be considered late payments due to not being paid weekly. Company employee gave me misinformation. Since I opened a case , I have been constantly harassed by emails, phone calls, and messages everyday and now they keep reporting 30days late on my credit. Due to their unprofessional process I demand correction on my credit. As I still attached screenshots of their website state current. Im requesting documentation on their process and how they have calculated my payments. Weekly payments are $40 and monthly deductions were $160. So was my account a full ****** past due of $160.

This company has changed policies without properly informing their customers. As I was told to change my payments to a monthly payroll deductions, I was not told that they would consider it late payments since its not weekly. They are not addressing past concerns regarding my credit report. However they are now sending daily notices and phone calls for 5 days late. It is becoming obsessive due to me filing a complaint now. Yet Im concern about past handling of my account that caused a negative impact on my credit. What part is not clear. I am a current customer with **********************.. I've been told different information about my account from numerous representatives. If you make 12 payments through your payroll department you get to refinance. I'm showing I'm at the refinance stage but a representative told me today, I've only made 9 payments because 2 of them was reversed. I asked why but,didn't get any clarification. Then I ended the call and spoke with another representative and was told my account isn't accurate. I spoke with 2 different representatives over a week ago and was told something totally different. I am writing to inform of the Deceptive practices and breach of contract from BMG Money. I signed a loan with them on 9/22 to have weekly allotments to be taken out from my paycheck. I was supposed to have my employer send money to Fist Next a subsidy of ******** to mediate the payment. I completed all payments through my check and which BMG Money decided to preauthorized a biweekly payment which would not satisfy the contractual agreement. I notice on my credit report that the money I owed was more than I originally have taken. I contacted BMG Money and spoke to representative who told me I missed payment and that a must pay all penalties accrued if I want to settle the matter by releasing all monies that is still in the third-party account which is more than the schedule loan contracted. When I refused to give them more than what the loan amount was, the next day my credit took a 116 pt drop for missed payment. I have copy of the original contract and all money deposited and taken by BMG Money. They breach the contract by preauthorizing a biweekly amount from WesBanco and then turn around and say I missed weekly payments when deposit every week showing from my stubs and statements. Also, when I looked into the loan with BMG Money, I was charge more than the state allowed. Under Maryland Law any loan from ***** to ***** cannot charge more than 24% in which I was charged *****%. This unlawful and violate the State Consumer Protection Law and should be investigated.Business Response

Constantly their system claims you don't make payments on time through their automated payments that YOUR PAYROLL pays to them when you get paid. When I applied for this loan I was in a mess and had to catch up on rent. It's honestly my own fault for not always reading the fine print, but it's also theirs for not making it first and foremost when applying for their loan. I didn't realize there is absolutely no ***** period if you are late on your payment. Even though they have the ability to take it off my card, I still have to manually pay it which I never seem to remember. I get SSI and they already know this information. I get paid 4 days early on a card from the providers app which also is connected to your ebt. Being in a already tough financial situation i think it's extremely unfair to those of us who are seriously struggling to get by to be pretty much taken advantage of by these loan companies who are presenting easy and affordable loans.I wish I could understand the payments and interest on my account because this is how people get taken advantage of.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Whenever I applied for this loan they knew I was getting SSI payments. They seen what day I got my deposits on. So if my payments were late due to me not getting my check yet, that's on them. Because I cannot help whenever my check is deposited. And just so you know I was charged a $15 late fee in February on the 25th when I made my payment. Why am I being charged a late fee whenever I can prove two out of the three months I hadn't even got paid yet and that's why my payment was late. I haven't contacted *** back yet because they're trying to tell me my payment is past due this month and it's not I've done paid it. Cuz that's when they charged me a late fee.
I can't help when the government deposits my check. I have tried to get them to change my payment date but they won't so therefore it's on them. it's on them if I don't have my money, not me. So why am I being penalized for not making a payment whenever I don't have my money.

They changed the allotment from wesbanco to **** ****** which I missed but on the same form it says make sure you select the right wesbanco account. They approved my allotment as being correct then they said they didnt get the allotment. Then they tried to charge my debit card 9 times after telling them to stop. They then claimed that the allotment was returned to ****. I verified and proved it wasnt. Last night another employee claimed the payment of 290 for late fees etc they had called me telling me it would be 300 and he did me a favor and got it down to 295. I emailed him all the proof of it being paid Jan 31 and not bounced back and he said he would escalate and cancel the ach payment. Woke up today payment was taken out of my bank after being told it was canceled. I have been fighting for over 2 weeks for money they received and they cant figure it out. Its under the old routing number which my last loan payments were going to before it was refinanced I find zero chance that they stopped with that bank and everyone with current open loans was going to have to change their routing number on their open allotments from wesbanco to **** ****** even though account numbers stay the same. They got paid and are just calling and threatening to get paid and charging about 5 dollars a day in fees. I want my ****** back plus 5 dollars every day they take to get it back to me. several years with them never missed a payment and they are lying and treating people this bad. I have chains of emails and ******** messengers of the constant lies I only uploaded the proofs of payment and the fact it wasnt bounced back as it wont upload videos for the recording of all the chats. I am rejecting this response because: funds were not received because their underwriter verified my allotment was correct and it wasnt funds from lost allotment still havent been sent back to me. Their underwriting verified my allotment was right to fund the loan and it wasnt
